Horrible customer service. There was 5 employees, that I could see, working and not a single one asked if I needed any help. They had no problem talking to each other. I walked up to the counter and asked about some snow cables. Employee had no idea what that was. Was asked for the tire size. I didn't know it off the top of my head. Told them the make and model. Said I put that info into their website and it pulled up options immediately for my car. Told them what item I saw that they had in stock. The employee again said he couldn't help without knowing the tire size. At this time, I'm looking at the employees computer screen and there is an option on the screen for make and model search. I say, can you put in the info there? He reply's back, can't do anything without the tire size. Left that spot with a horrible customer service lingering in my mind. Went down the street to ORileys. Greeted by every team member and asked if I needed help. Told them what I was looking for and not only did they understand what I was talking about but also mentioned snow socks for the tires and we discussed the durability and ease of use of each option. FOUND my needed size by looking up my make and model. Weird how we have all this technology and employees can't be bothered to use it for the purpose of customer service. This saved me considerable time and effort if I had to read the instructions myself and did it at home. AutoZone is always a great point of reference for those that prefer to maintain their cars themselves. The staff is usually very helpful and knowledgeable at most AutoZones. This particular store is no different. While it may be busier than the 79 location, the service doesn't suffer at all. In fact, the techs here still do minor installations for you. While I prefer to work on my own car, I'm sure that's a great feeling for those that can't or won't. Another tip is to always call ahead if you need a particular part or if a sale item is still available. If it isn't there they'll order it for you or direct you to another store that has the item. Don't trust them if they say they can perform some simple complimentary services. I called ahead and they said if I bought some brake bulbs they would install them for me. When I got there at the register to buy the bulbs it became, "maybe we could install them. We'll have to look". When we went outside it became, "no, we can't install them because we don't have a set of alan keys. But why don't you just keep the bulbs anyway and install them yourself or hire pep boys to install them". An auto supply store with no alan keys! This place is next to Del Taco off Winchester/Margarita. The vents in my car were stinky. They said that it was from the condensation of the water from the A/C. The associate recommended a spay to put in there so it didn't smell like mildew. He said it was only temporary but at least my car won't rancid smelling any longer. He was uber helpful and was up front about the situation. This place has just about everything... It's a shame that auto dealers don't have a permanent fix for it. I went into Autozone in Temecula on Winchester Thursday around 3:30 and bought tire chains. I told the cashier the tire size, showed him the picture of the numbers on my phone and he sold me the chains. When I got home and my husband attempted to put them on we realized they didn't fit. I took them back to the store around 4:30 and informed them that they had sold me the wrong size. Julio (whom I'm assuming he was a manager) came and told me he would not give me a refund because there were no returns or exchanges on tire chains and that sales were final. I showed him my receipt, let him know that his associate had sold me the wrong size after I had given him the tire size, did not tell me anything about the sale being final and that I just wanted them exchanged for the correct size. I asked why it was my fault that his cashier grabbed me the wrong size, again showed him the receipt letting him know I had just been in the store and that I just wanted the correct chains. At this point he told me he would be willing to give me an exchange but just this one time because he was "really bending the rules". He exchanged them out and told me that he would just assume I wasn't given the whole "schpeal" the first time and proceeded to tell me tire chain sales were final and finished it off with telling me not to come back into the store. I felt very disrespected. It was not my fault the cashier sold me the wrong size after I showed him the tire size. I was simply there picking the chains up for my husband, I didn't know what I was looking for. The fact that he sold me the wrong size was not even the issue, it was the fact that Julio treated me like a customer who wasn't worthy of his time and then told me I wasn't welcome back in the store. Not happy with the level of understanding these workers have with auto parts. I trusted these guys to make sure I was taken cared of and I was highly disappointed. 1. Went home with a wrong part because the worker was careless and grabbed me the wrong box for a radiator cap. I'm mean, how can you get a radiator cap wrong??? The box shows the cap I needed and when I came home to open the box, it was a completely wrong part. 2. I had to educate the worker on the correct coolant I needed. It's really not that hard to read labels guys. Rather than helping me, I had to help them. I don't trust this store to provide good customer service. read more

I usually go to the one close to my house, but they told me the guy who usually checks the car battery isn't there and the machine they use to check it isn't working. They told me to go to the one across the mall. So I did. It was my first time going to that store and the experience that I received was that the costumer service is great. So I lined up, told the cashier to have my battery percentage checked bc I thought I needed a new battery. Sure enough I did and the guy pulled out a new one. While I was talking to the guy, he told me to wait so he could help out other customers that came in. I looked back and there was a long line of them. I don't know how long I waited but it seemed like an hr bc people kept coming in. It seemed like that day they were short staff, but luckily the line died down to where they could take care of installing the car battery for me. One of the nicest compliments I got from them was that I was very patient. They kept telling me if they only give out awards for people who are patient, I would get it. Well, can't complain bc my car battery had a warranty. Therefore, it's FREE! So, finally, after a long wait, they put the car battery w/o any complaints. Well, I didn't complain bc I know how hard all of them had been working and it tested my patience as a customer. I told the guy I have a lot of patience and he was very thankful about that. Not only that, they were all very apologetic how they made me wait. Customer service is very hard and I've been there before. So in the end, I got my free new car battery installed w/ great customer service. read more

I have to say, I don't understand how this brick and mortar location stays open when you can find everything you need online, AND receive a better deal. My wife's car is at the point where it's going to be needing more routine maintenance and it would be nice to know I had a local place to turn to. Unfortunately, this is NOT that place. I went in on a Friday to order a bunch of parts for her car. Of the 6 things I needed, only 1 was in stock. But hey, don't worry right? They can just place an order, and the parts will arrive next day. I was told they receive a morning and an afternoon delivery, and that ALL the remaining parts would be in no later than 3:30 the next day. I get a call letting me know my rotors have come in, and I decide to wait until after 3:30 to see if my other parts had arrived. Well, I called at 4, and was told that they weren't there but that the afternoon shipment arrives at 5. OK. So it's now an hour and a half later than it should have been, but I wasn't planning on doing any of the work until sunday so no big deal. I was told I'd receive a call when the parts came in, but that wasn't the case. Sunday came and went, as did Monday. Now it's Tuesday, I call to see if they're in, and the guy on the phone tells me he doesn't see them. To top it all off, he tells me the computers are down and to call back in ten or fifteen minutes. Why don't you do your job, take my information down and call me back? These people need to get their stuff together when it comes to the customer service front. I suppose if all you needed was a can of seafoam, or something they stock, you wouldn't run into this issue and it might be worth the trip, but for me, not so much. read more

Never go to this place! Jon R had the worst attitude I've ever experienced. My wife's battery died and I took the van to this Autozone. The way they ignored me and made me wait while was ridiculous. At one point, he asked me what kind of engine it was and I dint know the answer. When I asked him to come outside and look w me he made a huge deal apologizing to his customers for me needing his service! This place was awful. It was not just Jon R.
