NAPA batteries are not the quality they once were. This was a premium battery, it should have lasted a few more years. Beware purchasing NAPA brand batteries, had i read the comments I would have went elsewhere. NAPA responded to my complaint and said basically tough luck.

Went here for years. Dale was always gr8 with a hello, kind word and quick to help me find what I…read moreneed. Dale is part time now as hes semi (mostly) retired. I walk in the other day. Hoping to exchange my wipers, I discover I didnt have my receipt. Muttering to myself " oh crap!" I run into Matt a pleasant young guy, who asks me whats wrong? I told him.. my dumbass thought I had receipts for these wipers.... but apparently left them at home. He smiles and motions me over to the register. Just like Dale used to: he looks up my transactions with a smile and takes care of me with air of wanting to help make my day better. I said would be too much to swap out the new wipers with the old? Matt says: no problem at all. A short while later I was on my way. After my discussion about wipers, I mentioned in the beginning about my wifes car which needed wipers replaced. Matt says: Cmon in when you want those wipers replaced. I went in the next day. Saw Matt and he took care of me again. Great guy! Im in good hands! As a bonus, Dale happened to be there as a it was a Saturday, he works occasionally. He recognized me. Its been a couple of years since I saw him. We caught up for a bit . Nice to see that people care about you as a consumer and acquaintance. They are good men . Go see them . They'll help you out.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND PUT YOUR SAFETY AT RISK AT THIS STORE. I visited O'Reilly's in Sycamore…read more(1621 DeKalb Ave.) two days ago (7/6/21) to have my car battery replaced. I called ahead of time to provide them with my vehicle information and ask if this was a service they provided, and was assured that it could be taken care of. I was told to head over right away. The individual who assisted us clearly lacked the appropriate training to perform the service that was promised and paid for. While trying to remove my old battery, he was unable to remove the bolts securing it in place and had to ask my partner, who has no automotive training, to help him. He then he dropped an essential component of the battery terminal into the hood of the car. After attempting to remove it with a stick from a nearby tree, he went inside the store to retrieve another terminal. After installing it, he stated that the terminal was different than what was really needed for the car but "should be ok". When I asked if it was safe to use this alternative piece, he replied with "Well I don't think it's dangerous". When trying to secure the new terminal, he AGAIN dropped the bolt into the hood of the car. I was asked to pay for a NEW package of bolts to replace what he had dropped. After paying for the bolts, the employee asked my partner to secure it. After the battery was installed, it became apparent that the metal structures that held the original battery in place would not fit over the new battery. I was told that there was "nothing he could do" and again that "it should be fine". The employee then stated that "the store was closing so he couldn't help put the car back together" and he walked back into the store. I had been there for hours at that point, and I stood in the O'Reilly parking lot for an extra 30 minutes trying to secure the rest of the plastic pieces that covered the hardware in the hood. Throughout this process, the employee repeatedly stated how much he "hates cars" and asked that his boss not be informed about any element of the service. I called the store to speak to the manager, Brayden (he refused to give out his last name) today (7/8/21) about my concerns. I was even more appalled at his response than I was the original incident. After recounting the entirety of the story described above, Brayden told me he would "have a talk with the employee," and then tried to justify my experience there by saying "there is no one person who does battery changes, everyone just gets basic training" and "he cant be sure if what I'm saying is true". While I understand the desire to know all sides of a story, at the very least, store records could conclusively determine that I was asked to pay for additional bolts. This would be entirely unnecessary if what I told him was not true. I feel completely dismissed and I am unsure as to whether it is appropriate to leave the battery in its current state, entirely unsecured. Also- if there is no fault on O'Reilly's part- why refuse to provide your name? I was told by Brayden that I could direct my complaints to his boss, Ansar. I am hoping to get in contact soon but SINCERELY REGRET ever involving myself with this company.

She really wanted an Alfa Romeo, and this dealership had a car with everything she wanted. First off, the staff was nice, but the saleswoman (Yaeli) was grossly misinformed about the selling process, and she didn't know what she was doing. The finance manager (Steven) helped her out and he was lovely, admittedly. He did his best to help her with the sale, but she messed up so many times that were just ready to get out of there. She tried to drill, yes DRILL, holes in my wife's bumper to add a license place holder. I had to tell her that the car provided a space for that, so she backed off. Another problem was that my wife's DNA system NEVER worked. It was reported to them before we left the lot. Yaeli told us that the part would be ordered, and this problem would be fixed. It's been over 6 months and they have not fixed the DNA knob, in fact, my wife was told that they didn't even order the part. They sold my wife this car and then completely forgot about us. If it were me, I probably would ignore it, but I have to hear about this almost daily. To add a little insult to injury, her electrical system is faulty, and her Bluetooth disconnects all the time. I had to convince her to pick her battles and only focus on the DNA problem for now. The saleswoman (Yaeli) is no longer with the dealership (no surprise at all). I will be looking to change my original review I made with this dealership and will report them to the BBB. After almost losing her life and being thankful she had a reliable car, my wife no has to deal with a car that has problems, and the dealership has done nothing to make this right. They made me a cash deal however were having issues with the computers and would send me a receipt. Several calls until they were disconnected got me no receipt. My battery went belly up this year and I ordered a new one at NAPA. I actually forgot it was a NAPA in there until I went to grab it for the core. I asked if on the off chance they could see if there was warranty, if not, no problem as I knew I had no receipt. He did some checking and my $160 purchase ended up being $33. Yep, good customer service and way to stand behind what you sell. I would recommend.
