hi there, I'd like to leave a review about a gentleman named Lance at your SONORA store, I went in with a check engine light yesterday on August 23 and he took the little machine out there to do diagnostics on my car and it said it was my Cadillac converter and instead of just letting me walk away, he told me about a catalytic converter cleaner that he used on his car and it worked for my car. My car is running like a new car and I'm really appreciative of it ,because I could've gone to a mechanic and they might've charged me a good chunkof money. So I really appreciate him. I brought him in a gift card from Starbucks and I just wanted to leave a good review. He definitely went above and beyond, thank you very much Susan Fountain read more

This place used to have the best customer service for many years. I don't know what happened, but it has gone down hill. My wife bought a new battery (one of several) and the kid at the counter just said "ok, thanks". He didn't offer to install it, take it to the car or even open the door!!! There were 6 or 7 employees and not one of them offered to help. They were standing around talking about a party they went to. I called and spoke to the manager "Zach" and told him about our recent experience. Instead of listening, he just kept making excuses and cutting me off. Come on guys, you're in "customer service" please act like it. read more

Anthony was such a huge help for us when we discovered our car battery was dead after grocery shopping. Several trips back and forth from our car to the store and he finally was able to wrangle the battery out of our car and replace it with a new one. Excellent service indeed. Thank you Auto Zone in Sonora. This young man deserves a raise! read more

Chase B helped me today. He offered insight that saved me a lot of money. He also gave me insight about diesel fuel and was very friendly and professional. Additionally, he gave me a 10% discount against the competitor's price. Very good store to shop in! read more

Auto Zone Store 5711, Sonora, CA I hate to admit it, but as a guy I no nothing about auto repairs, the amount of cylinders under my hood, I don't change my own oil and I have been driving for 40 plus years. I'm sure my DNA does not include autoshop 101 I take care of my car, change my oil on a regular basis and work with several great repair shops. I have a confession, I'm a big fan of Auto Zone, why, because every time I have trouble. Such as a dead battery, wipers, wax, the men and woman of Autozone have offered outstanding service, they are polite and go out of there way to help. When it comes to auto parts, AutoZone in Sonora or other store locations, will get my business. read more

I walked into this store for the first time and was fortunate to have Mike M, a manger, and he really filled that role. Knowledgable, while also humble enough to ask if he doesn't know something and he is extremely good at searching for further information when required. I had brought two car items with me and wanted an answer for how long each is good for. Not only did he get me the answers, which were that both remain fine and I don't need to buy more now, but he also taught how to use one of them! read more

I found myself with a dead battery on the 4th of July. Greg was super helpful in making the transaction as smooth as possible! So thankful for the positive experience! read more

We were in the area from out of town. Some sensor in our car started to intermittently fail, which could have been a disaster. This shop had the part in stock, saved our vacation. read more

Was at this store to return something that I purchased in Los Angeles. The LA store put in a different phone number for my purchase (and I could not find the receipt). Jeff searched online for a few minutes and found the purchase and I got the refund. Seems to me that everyone in the store are very polite and helpful. read more

Okay I've been using your branch for many years and I know mistakes happen but my last three visits have been un unpleasant. First wrong motor mount, then the box was right wrong size brakes. I live of mountain misery just past goaway on stayaway. I spend good money at your store. So when I opened the u joints no clips so I call to find out if the clips were included. Of coarse the are but I'm clipless. Now if you know where I'm located a trip to town takes all day. So I asked for a little discount for my troubles but I guess customer service isn't procedure. I've been loyal to you guys but looks like I'm going to just order parts and have the delivered. I really enjoined the social interactions but this was uncalled for G.C.H 2094590638 MY PRIVATE NUMBER IF ANYONE CARES HAVE A BLESSED NIGHT read more

Too pricey!!! 25%+ higher than O'Reilys. Mothers back to black was $9.99, only $6.99 at O'Reilys. Refrigerant was $45.99 and only $32.99 at O'Reilys. You need to check pricing at other stores. read more

Shame on The OLDER GENTLEMEN for being a jerk! My niece who was traveling through Sonora, on her way to spend the next three months working at a camp in the area, had some issues with a tire. As she was nervous and scared from the experience, my husband and I sent her to your store to buy a tire gage to check the air pressure. I was certain that Auto Zone would take care of her since every Auto Zone that we've been to has been of great help. NOPE! At approximately 6:00 p.m. May 22, the jerk who was too lazy to even explain to her how to check the pressure and ripped into her that she needed to purchase a tire gage, SHAME ON YOU! Her purpose for us sending her to this store was to purchase a tire pressure gage. Whatever your reason for being ass is all on you. read more

My car was running hot and the staff helped me get the car running nice. I wAy happy Thanks Guys!

Nice job AutoZone. I needed a part for "sporty" 2004 Mazda MPV Granny-Van - I did my homework online and found that the part has more than one name. i.e. IAC valve (idle-air-control) and also a TV281 BYPASS Valve. After calling other auto-part stores, I found that this was not a common solution and in fact the other guys simply had no idea. I called the Sonora, Ca store - Told them I had a challenge. Bing! - they nailed the part out of their system on the first pass. Nice. This was important due to the fact my wifes car stalls out at speeds between 20-50MPH :(~ 5 Stars this time guys. read more

Unexpected tire fiasco between Yosemite NP and Lake Tahoe. Hellish heat wasn't exactly helping. Luckily this store was not a mirage. Staff got me back on track in no time, taught me how to repair a puncture in the future, even set me up with an air pump after fix o cans were a joke on a g500 tire. All while interrupting/annoying the hell out of them on a busy day -- NICEST guys you'll ever meet!, Seriously, a million times over, THANK YOU!!!!! read more

And they've changed a few things since I first reviewed this place. Nobody argues with me anymore, and part numbers seem to be appreciated.

When it comes to customer service Aaron at Auto Zone just flat out gets it. Our truck broke down on a weekend getaway with my husband and kids and it just so happen to die in the parking lot in front of Auto Zone. Aaron went above and beyond what I would ever expect someone to do to get our truck running. The almost 100 degree heat did not stop him from running in and out of the store trying one thing after another. Did I mention he held the door open for me each time! Is the truck fixed, no but is should hopefully get us back to the Bay Area. Thank you Auto Zone for picking someone who understands what customer service is about to manage the store! read more

Great inventory, prices and customer service! Thank you for your expertise and helpful attitude!

We recently went in to purchase a battery for our truck. Before arriving, we called to see if they can recycle an old battery and the man who answered was very helpful and polite letting us know that we can receive $5 for letting them recycle it. When we did go in they asked us questions to make sure that we could not use it anymore to save us as much money as possible and also asked how long we had it to see if a warranty still existed on it. Customer service is important and they certainly have it. We are grateful that they are near by and always caring about our needs. read more
