After all, my friendly neighborhood Kia dealer told me I needed new tires and probably new rear brakes. Of course, dealer prices are through the roof, so I went to Firestone to get a second opinion. If they had agreed with the dealership, I'd have let them do the work in hopes of getting a better price. Grand total spent? $0. I know nothing about cars, and it probably shows. So they could have easily recommended lots of repair work that I probably would've agreed to. But they told me the truth--my tires and brakes are fine for now. And I really appreciated the honesty and courtesy. So will I go back to them when things do need fixing? Absolutely. It's hard to find an honest repair shop. I'm glad I found one.
