My 18 month old battery was not keeping charge, I went back to Auto Zone and Johnothan checked it and it showed it was fully charged. I explained that twice that day after car sitting for a bit it was straining to start both times so I feared car sitting overnight would be dead. He said it was still early in the day take it home and let it sit and then try starting it. He checked cables, etc. if it had a strained start bring it back and he'd take care of it. 3 hours later the car barely turned over and I got it to Auto Zone. He made good with his promise and replaced the battery. Johnathon was helpful, pleasant and felt my concerns about having a car not start and be stranded. I DO NOT like giving bad reviews. Before I say anything I try to make sure I consider that at times we ALL have an "one off" day so I try to find SOMETHING positive. However I am so upset about my recent experience here. I know NOTHING about cars and am single so I rely heavily on expert opinion. My car died on me a couple weeks ago...i got a jump start and my car ran fine after that. Yesterday my car hesitated in starting again so my brother told me to go get the battery tested. The rep came out...looked at my battery and said he COULD NOT afix the cables to my battery considering its position. Now ME not knowing ANYTHING. about cars had to show him where the +/- signs were. He looked at it and told me three times that he couldn't afix the cable. A second later he leans in and "said" he got it to afix and that my battery was in great condition and that my problem wasn't the battery. Go home, next morning try to start car, it barely starts. Rather than take a chance I drove it directly to an auto shop and my car DIED in the parking lot. THANK YOU JESUS I MADE IT At this point I'm believing the problem must be worst than I thought and fixing it would be costly. I told the repair man that the AUTOZONE rep said the battery was good so we assumed it would be a costly alternator repair. An hour and a half later the repair man calls and asks. "Who did you go to, to get your battery checked because your alternator is at optimum performance and we tested your battery and your battery is EXTREMELY WEAK." ALL YOU NEED IS A NEW BATTERY! I was so upset by this that I couldn't let the opportunity pass for me to mention this in hopes that a lesson can be learned or AUTOZONE retrains there workers. Had I not decided to NOT DRIVE TO WORK and go to a repair shop instead I would have got off work today only to get into a car that wasn't going to start. Having said all of this...im still going to believe that this was just a "one off" day. It was EXTREMELY hot maybe the heat prevented the rep from being more efficient. read more

I went to the front desk to ask where I could find an engine air filter. As we walked to where the filters are shelved, he asked me for the make and model of my vehicle. He got the filter for me and I checked out. I tried to install the filter at my house, but one of the four bolts wouldn't break loose. I went back to AutoZone and asked him if he could install it for me. It only took him 5 minutes to install it for me. I offered a tip and he wouldn't take the tip. I am a very happy customer. All of the employees at this location were very helpful. read more

I HATE bad customer service. I walk in, stand in line behind a man being checked out. He leaves and I'm standing there. The employee looks at me and walks away. All it takes is a "hey gimme a min" or "I'll be right back". 15 minutes later and I'm still standing here and he's helped 2 other guys. I came here because my car battery was dead. The person went to my car to test it and verified the battery was dead, but then noticed the battery was fairly new and should still be under warranty where it was purchased from. The person recommended I check with the company to get the battery replaced for free. While I did not purchase anything, the staff was friendly and saved me lots of money by being honest. This location needs to consider training in customer service and peer empowerment. I went for windshield wiper purchases and install. I have had this done before at Autozone with no problem. The male rep working did not seem to want to assist me as I looked on the computer for the wipers. The female rep had started me on my search, and asked the male rep who later arrived in the morning as she was in the store by herself. The male rep reluctantly looked at the screen not saying much. I basically found the wipers on my own. I asked if he could install the front and back wipers. He said that he could only install the front, but not the back because it was difficult to put on. Another customer came in and the male rep left me to help the customer. He then told the female rep to go install the wipers. We went outside and she was unable to install. She said that she was new and not familiar with installing. We then went back inside to the unhelpful male rep, who went out, installed the wipers and talked negatively about the female rep stating that she did not want it learn. My reply to him was that some people need to be shown more than once as I thought to myself, "You don't even know how to put on the back blade." I will not return to that location if that rep is at the counter. He is not only unhelpful, but disrespectful to his co-workers. read more
