DO NOT HAVE YOU'RE CARS SERVICED HERE !!!! My vehicle was serviced for an oil change and I was…read morethere for 3.5 hrs for them to then tell me I needed a new oil pan because the plug was stripped ! That was told to me 2 hours into the service. I attempted to have the incident Investigated through their corporate dept and it was a total failuer from start to finish, just like the oil change !!! If you value your vehicle and want good service and repair, NEVER take it to PEP BOYS in Orland Park or any PEP BOYS for that matter. Look them up on the BBB website and it will explain it ALL !!! The Investigation by the way was a JOKE and poorly conducted !! You definately will not win with this company ! Horrible Service !

Pep Boys on 159th and Lagrange...I've gone to them for oil changes for several years only because…read morethey are near my home. Mike is the most condescending service person I have ever encountered. Immediately after leaving every service visit to this location, and putting up with his BS attitude, I tell myself it was the last. Totally my fault for continuing to go back but that has ended now. My most recent experience (today) occurred after I scheduled an oil change online indicating that I would be waiting at the facility while car was being serviced. Apparently, my telling him I was going to wait, which is what I previously indicated when I submitted my request online, wasn't going to work for him. With a disgusted eye roll he told me it would be "a while" until it was ready. After asking multiple times how long was "a while" he said 2-3 hours. This was after he told the women in front of me hers would be 30-40 minutes. This is just the latest, and not the worst, experience I have had with Mike. I will never waste my time with Pep Boys again.

Unfortunately my Toyota Corolla got totaled in a recent crash. I go back and forth between Honda…read moreand Toyota due to their reliability. I bought a CR-V years ago from this location and I got 190k out of her before she retired. I had hoped, prayed this wouldn't be a lengthy, horrible process. Actually it was not!! Started glancing at cars on lot, knew I wanted a suv. A lady named Melissa was the only sales rep who came out and greeted me. We went over what I wanted, needed...she found a car just for me...a black HRV with a moonroof(A MUST!!!!!!!). The transaction was smooth, seamless. Numbers made sense. Melissa was professional but also gave a friendly vibe. They totally gutted the place since the last time I was here in 2020. Very nice!!!! Thanks Melissa and Community Honda.

Community Honda would not perform the required repair for a manufacturer issued warranty extension…read moreunless I agreed to pay for a $220 diagnostic fee, a $200 plus transmission fluid flush, and $700 plus dollars for other parts that may need to be replaced in order for them to replace my torque converter. P0741 is the code that requires the torque converter to be replaced. Per the Honda issued notice it states "Honda will replace the torque converter for free". The word free is in bold characters. The General Manager instructed the Sales Manager Dan to inform me to pick up my vehicle since I wouldn't agree to paying for the miscellaneous parts after I request a written denial of repair. The service representative Randy also flat out lied to me and said the diagnostic fee would be refunded once the code was confirmed that the torque converter needed to be replaced. I have filed a case with Honda and the Attorney General of Illinois. At this point I do not even trust this dealership. I also paid for a tire rotation and the very next day I noticed my front passenger tire was low. I put a gauge on it and confirmed that the tire was 4 psi below the other 3 tires. How does a technician rotate tires and not top of the air in the tires. I'm currently trying to get my diagnostic fee and transmission oil charges refunded. I'm speaking up for those that have already been victimized and those who intend to do business with this dealership. Dan the service manager mentioned that they get paid time and a half for warranty extensions verses regular straight pay for extended warranties. Volunteered that useless information. He kept stating that they will not get reimbursed from Honda for anything other the torque converter kit. The notice does not mention anything about potential fees that may be incurred.
