    Ocean Breeze RV

    Ocean Breeze RV

    (1 review)

I had a slide repaired at the shop. After getting my RV back the bill was $6800, much higher than…read morethe $5000 I was told the repair would be. After picking it up and driving down to Key West, upon opening the slide, I could see it was separating from the trailer. In fact there were screws missing from the bottom of the slide frame that attaches to the RV. I had instructed Keith, the tech at Ocean Breeze, that he needed to replace the bottom screws with thru bolts to keep the slide frame securely attached to the unit. He told me " We will definitely do something different to secure the frame to the trailer. Obviously, he did not. I had to spend an additional $300 to have a tech come out and repair the slide correctly, by placing thru bolts on the bottom of the slide frame.Once I hooked up the water, there was a leak directly under the slide where Keith and his crew had been working on the slide. I used the unit without water until I got back to NH. I returned to Ocean Breeze and explained to Keith what had happened. He asked, " What do you want some money from me?" I asked if he could knock off $300 from the bill to repair the water leak. He became indignant and started screaming at me that they had rebuilt the slide to factory specs. He then abruptly turned and walked away from me not interested in anything else I had to say. In five years of owni g the camper I've never had a leak, bit it leaked after I got it back from Ocean Breeze, and the leak was I the same location where they had been working on the slide. I suspect them of crating the leak while repairing the slide. I do not recommend them at all for any repair work. They Don not stand by their work. It is quite possible that you will get your RV back in worse shape than when it went into their shop.
