We are from WV, so when a check engine light came on I searched for the nearest AutoZone. Being 7 hours from home, and having worried myself sick for two days of our vacation, I was so thankful for the kind and courteous treatment I received here! I can't recall his name but my receipt says the customer service guy was #11. He tested our vehicle and helped to give me advice and reassure me that we were safe. He also was nice enough to answer a tip for a great dinner location when I asked him. This guy was the total package as far as costumer service goes!! He saved our vacation! Went in to buy 5 or 10 gallons of diesel oil. Ask the salesperson that was at the oil items in the store and he advised me that they did not have 5 gallon buckets of diesel oil and he didn't know when they would be getting any in because they was hard to even get anymore. So I walked up front and asked the salesperson if he could look and see if some might be coming in and he was very nice. He went out of his way to find out. And he walked and asked the manager and the manager showed him where two 5 gallon buckets of oil was. So then I made the comment to the one that advised me that they didn't have any if he would have looked that we wouldn't have had to went through all that and I'm pretty sure his supervisors do not want him telling people they do not have items whenever they do because that's how that company makes it sales. He just acted like he didn't have time to even check and that's what really got me customer service should be one of your top priorities even if you can't get stuff make sure that you don't have any in the back before you tell somebody that you cannot get it for them. The manager did tell me that he would take care of the matter but I'm unsure because the one that didn't want to look for it whenever I was talking to the manager he had a silly stupid smirk on his face looking at another employee. I will try to find another company that wants my business next time. And I own the transporting company that transports autos for dealers and auctions. Stop in AutoZone to pick-up a pair of Windshield Wipers for the daughters car and was greeted by the Gentleman behind the counter, who help me pick out the wipers and then installed them on the car all within 10 minutes!
