Let me tell you about my last visit to the Autozone in Griffin Georgia and by last I mean my final visit. To them I'm just some guy of a many that walks through the door to get parts. What they don't realize is how many people I work on cars with and for. Just because I wasn't the one who walked in for the parts doesn't mean I don't control where customers buy parts from. Two of the families I work on cars for own most of the restaurants and hotels in Griffin. The other owns a mechanical contracting company, which combined adds up to a crap load of vehicles that get worked on by me and my friends. We had been buying and sending people to buy parts at the AutoZone in Griffin Georgia, which ended tonight. At 530 pm I orders parts online and payed for them, all showing in stock. I waited two hours and still had no order ready email. I called the store and a female answered, who I asked if my order was ready and she placed me on hold saying, "I'll get right back to you". Five minutes later another female picked up the phone asking if she could help me. I again advised I needed to see if my order was pulled and ready for pickup and again was told, "Hold on and I'll be back with you". After being on hold for 20 minutes I jumped in my car and drove to the store. Inside the store were two male customers and one female on a register. I recognized the voice of this female as the second one who had placed me on hold. Inside the store isle was another female playing with a child, that was her daughter and talking to another female who was neither a customer nor employee. This female advised the other female she was talking to "not to worry, she was off the clock". The female was sloppy in her dress and definitely not presenting a professional appearance. Another female came in from outside that had been helping a customer outside. During this time the phones were ringing and ringing, and I was still on hold. The female who advised she was off the clock told her daughter to go with the other female and told the female she would poick her up later tonight. The female then walked to a register and looked at me and said how can I help you? I advised her that I needed to see the store manager and she said I am the store manager. I walked to the register and stated you're the general manager of this store? She pulled out her ID card which had the name Jasmine or something like that which had the word manager on it and the stuck it back in her pocket. I advised her that I had been on hold for over 25 minutes (showing that I was still on hold on my phone) and that all I had asked was to see if my order was ready. The female said well as you can see we are very busy (now a third person in the store) and there are only two of them trying to help everyone and they can only answer the phone when they can. I advised her that they had in fact answered the phone and couldn't answer a simple question, instead placing me on hold for over 25 minutes. I stated that also the phone had been ringing off the hook while I was there and not once had they answered it. I asked her if it was okay to leave a customer on hold for that time and she said no. She then said give me your name and I'll pull your order (which meant that it hadn't been pulled). I gave her my last name and pulled up the order number which she said she didn't need. She then left and gathered the parts and came back placing the parts on the counter and printed out a receipt. She asked if I wanted my parts placed in a bag and I said no, just give me the parts. She asked if there was anything else that I wanted and I stated I would've liked to have an apology for the way I was treated as a customer, but evidently that was too much to ask for. The female just smirked and said nothing, and I told her that it would be the last time I would be getting parts from there and started walking away. I advised her I would make sure I advised corporate of how professional they were. She then stated I'm sorry for your inconvenience. I advised her that it was way too late to try that and walked out. I called corporate while sitting in the parking lot and left a message at the regional office for a call back, let's see if they are more prompt and professional. I immediately came home; got on my computer and ordered the parts I had just purchased from Summit Racing in McDonough and paid for them. I will hold onto these parts for a few days, thus preventing AutoZone from selling them and then I will return them and get all my money back so they have to restock them. So now Jasmine or whatever your name is, I hope you enjoyed your minute of fame and bad attitude, let's see if corporate thinks your smirk is cute.
