Usually come here for the advice and great customer service, especially when it's not convenient to visit the dealership. Had a tire service light show up on the dashboard and asked if they would check it out. Unfortunately, they only service check engine lights. Thought that was odd but whatever! would do 0 stars if i could. sold me a battery i guess they saw they would have to take off a couple screws to install the new one might have been too much work for them. my boyfriend was able to do it in less than 5 minutes only to realize i was sold the wrong size battery. got the correct one at a different autozone and returned the battery back to this location. Won't be returning here job was not difficult could have helped me out at the very least by selling me the correct things. read more

I'd attempt to give this place a zero if I could. Sent my son, who is an above the knee amputee, on crutches. Obviously it's difficult to carry heavy stuff. No handle, this battery was small and weighed about (seemed to me 50 lbs). So their excuse for not carrying it out for him, COVID! Really! Sad, can't put a mask on Huh? One hundred and thirteen degrees. Celsius. Just kidding about that last part, but it was hot out today, damn hot, and when I eased back into my car, which, conveniently sports black pseudo-leather interior (otherwise known as 'not leather but still prone to heat'), I noticed that the aforementioned temperature was the current read, and that meant I found myself spent but still jazzed to solve today's problem. Or at least so I thought at the time. Enter Auto Zone, a chain where I've had some luck in other cities and, as such, the very spot I sought out today to figure out the latest calamity: in this case, a battery, corroded, heartbroken, and, minus some coaxing from a hearty jump start, rudderless. Seems like there's not a universal playbook among Autozones, which was news to me, because the general M.O. of this one was to a) point you to what you needed and b) suggest that you go install it. Who knows, perhaps this is the way that the rest of the world works and I just lucked into an Autozone relationship in Austin that housed a staff as ready to help you remedy a problem as they were to diagnose it. Or, perhaps, this Autozone is situated in a part of town where everyone knows how to do their own automotive repair (a possibility), and I'm the luddite who needed a hand. At any rate, my ride's a little quirky, so I tend to have to break out the manual often. And I'm not averse to paying a little extra to have someone else help me through some regular maintenance, in this case, a surprisingly corroded battery. Not open heart surgery, I grant you. But after dropping my existing battery for recharge and buying (and extracting and reinstalling the new one myself in their parking lot), I got home tonight and the new battery flat won't start. That means that either A) they sold me a bum battery, which I believe is less likely (but not impossible) or B) my car wasn't put back together correctly and there's something not connecting since I got it home. I'll definitely check it all out in the AM. But the fact that the local staff seemed so foreign to the idea of a helping hand took my by surprise. I don't have another half day to burn tomorrow. All the managers are great seriously , the whole staff is phenomenal. They all work together when completing a big task or even if the store gets full , they do a great job at helping everyone with a big smile. My daughter bought a car battery here yesterday and took it back to her car. AAA showed up and wouldn't install it but would tow her to this AutoZone. The kind folks not only installed it for her, but they filled her wiper fluid and made sure to hang with her to make sure the car continued running. Yesterday I went into this store to get a replacement headlamp bulb for a 2007 Honda Civic. Pretty straightforward. After 20 minutes of trying to ring up the sale, and several managers involved, they managed to figure out how to process the transaction. When i got back to my car, I realized that they had sold me the wrong part number. It took another 15 minutes for them to figure out how to return the item and credit back my Visa. Ouch. read more
