    Chad's Automotive

First off, I rarely post reviews, but people need to know about this one. My Nissan Juke broke down…read morein Evanston Wyoming and this shop had the best reviews so I had it towed there. The receptionist lady told me that the entire engine needed to be replaced and that I could either pay them $10,000 for them to fix it, or just scrap the car and get something new. I spoke to Chad, the automotive technician and he told me he ran a compression test to confirm and that my car was only giving 30 pounds instead of the expected 160 pounds, and confirmed that it did indeed need a full new engine. He said I was looking at several months for them to be able to order the parts and the engine, wait for shipping, and complete the installation. I still owed $10,000 on my car since I was financing it and I had only driven it 22,000 miles in my entire 4 year ownership of it, so it was hard for me to believe that it needed a full new engine. I gave them my auto warranty company information and Chad told me he would reach out to them on Friday, but when I spoke to the receptionist lady on Tuesday for an update, she got super defensive and told me that she has a hard time believing that Chad told me he would contact my warrantee company because he doesn't submit claims to warranty companies. She said she needed to order all of the parts brand new so that they would be covered by their own warranty. Something felt very off so I called AAA, and I had my car towed to Auto Pro in Utah. The mechanic there was able to fix my car same day and it only really needed new spark plugs. I sold my car to Carvana the very next day, and they said there were no mechanical issues at all when they did their full inspection. Chad's Automotive was clearly trying to take advantage of me (maybe because they're in Evanston and don't get a lot of business, or maybe I'm a woman and don't know much about cars?). Just sharing my experience, proceed with caution and make sure you get a second opinion. If you have AAA premium, they will tow your car for free to someone more reliable.

Well, long story short, the thermostat was wonking out and we wanted to have it looked at. Chad was backed up for a week but said he'd take a quick look at it. Well he fiddled with some hoses and switches, answered all of our questions, told us to track the engine oil and assessed that we were probably good to go. He gave us a grin and said "I'd go for it". So, 15 minutes later we are rolling down the road with our fingers crossed and incredibly grateful to Chad for taking some time out of his busy schedule to help out a few dudes...Seriously, it's all about the humanity man. Update from 1,000 miles later: the truck is running great and we have not had any more troubles with the thermostat. Also it appears that Chad secretly fixed the heater and seatbelt alarm. This truck is running like a youngster again!

We were driving from California to the Midwest when our change oil came on in our Jeep Wrangler…read more Luckily, we were driving right past the Evanston Jiffy Lube right off I-80. We pulled in, told them our issue, and they checked it out. They changed the oil and air filter (which was filthy from our drive), topped off the other fluids, and checked the tire pressure. The whole process took less than 30 minutes during which they also had a new air filter delivered from NAPA. The cost was about $140 for everything. Our Jeep runs much better than before. The staff were courteous, friendly, and made sure that we were taken care of.

Our way there we got a flat on the trailer in the middle of the road. We had so much trouble finding any shops to purchase and mount a new tire after we changed it. We had to go through several to find any that had even the tiniest bit of customer services and decency. On the way back, the check engine light came on. We needed both fuel filters replaced on the truck. It was 4:45 pm and we were still 15 minutes outside of Evanston. We needed to get a hotel room, the little kids out of the truck and drop the trailer for service. The staff at Jiffy Lube could not have been friendlier, kinder, more helpful, more efficient or shown more hospitality than they did. They even recommended a great place fir dinner that we really enjoyed. Thank you so much. We're back on the road and getting closer to home.

If there is a way to give a 10-Star rating, I would. I cannot thank everyone at Southern Tire Mart…read morein Evanston WY enough for their care, their expertise, their professionalism, and their beyond excellent work. I was driving from Alabama to Utah and was 70 miles from my destination when my 20ft. cargo trailer blew a tire on I-80. I was towing it behind my 40 foot motorhome. As a widow driving by myself, this was my first solo tire experience. From my first phone call to them to my final exit, I knew I was in excellent, trustworthy hands! Never once did I feel like I was "handling" this on my own or that their recommendations were anything short of exactly what was needed, with nothing added. A road unit was dispatched within 10 minutes of my call for help. That gentleman was able to put on my spare tire quickly, despite the dangerous location, in order for me to drive to their location at the Pilot/Flying J. Their bays were plenty big and easy to pull my entire rig in. There had been damage to the other tire and the shredded tire wiring was pretty much entangled underneath the trailer. So, there was significant amount of "clean up" as well as the two new tires needed. Their work was clean, thorough, reasonable, honest, and complete. Their kindness extended to offering me every discount they could, desiring to help just an everyday person trying to make their way moving states. Often feeling quite alone, I never had that feeling when in their capable care. They had me back on the road again, within 60 minutes, and with no concerns there would be any other problems or damage from the incident. WELL DONE! Even just thinking about that evening makes be well-up with gratitude for you all! Thanks, Linda K

I lost the alternator on my bus in the middle of nowhere Wyoming. I talked to John first thing in…read morethe morning and he manages to track down the part I needed so that when I finally got to the shop and he verified that it was, in fact the problem, he could get it coming ASAP. As a customer with some mechanical ability and as an owner of a small mechanical shop I truly appreciate that he was able to source the part but didn't just load the parts cannon before confirming the problem. That right there is the sign of a GOTDANG PROFESSIONAL!!! They managed to get me right in and get the diagnostic done, part ordered and delivery arranged and work done in one day. That's amazing service. Thanks to John and the whole team at STM
