This older Maverick gas station has an disgusting and stainedparking lot and small, dirty bathrooms. I'd suggest going someplace else.

We got here on Wednesday, December 7th around 6:15pm. While here, I took the opportunity to get some snacks. It was the last game night with the roommate's family before they left, so we needed snacks. Got some candy: Mike and Ike Sour-licious ($1.99), Milk Duds ($1.99), Whoppers ($1.99), Haribo Sour Gold Bears ($1.99). I also picked up some salty snacks: Fritos Jalapeno & Cheddar Dip ($2.99), Tostitos Medium Salsa ($3.XX - not sure of the price), Fritos Chili Cheese Chips ($1.49). We had a bunch of chips from a prior lunch, so we needed dip. I did wish they had spicy salsa as the hottest level offered was only medium. Convenient if you're staying at one of the hotels up the street. It was nice not having to drive far.

We were in the area at a family reunion and I was confused on the cups for the slurpees because they have all sorts. I went to the cashier and asked what each one was priced... The lids didn't match the cup size she had said they were. Upon asking if it was labeled wrong they processed to argue with me even though I was just asking if it was mislabeled. A coworker then came over and proceeded to be confrontational and I said, whatever, charge the large price. Went to pay and they rung them up at an even higher price... So I asked them to adjust the price since I asked the price before even filling our families slurpees. After 5 minutes of me actually arguing back they did. By this point the slurpees were liquidy in the car. Should have just left all 6 on the counter and walked out.

My co-worker and I stopped by this place looking for a light lunch while on our way to Salt Lake…read moreCity. We got chips and salsa, a side of queso, an order of 2 street tacos and an order of flautas. Overall the food was average. While the salsa was fresh and flavorful, the queso dip was obviously out of a can, bright orange and tasteless. The street tacos were shredded beef and carnitas; both were served with double-corn tortillas, fresh chopped onion and fresh cilantro, but the meat fillings were bland, and the carnitas were not as crispy as I like. My co-worker had the flautas (rolled and deep-fried tortillas stuffed with meat and cheese) - she said they were ok but a little greasy. I probably would not eat here again, but will say that the menu is large and it could be we just ordered 'wrong'. Our server was very nice, the interior was clean, and I did enjoy the murals painted on the walls too. This place is located in a strip mall just off the highway in Evanston. Very convenient location with plenty of parking.

We came from out of state hoping to have a good experience. Barely any people inside but wasn't given chips and salsa I had to ask and wasn't checked on at all during our meal, felt maybe only selected people get good service. Also, can't believe that they charge for refills when the cups are so tiny.
