I went in planning to get one of their classic roast beef sandwiches, which I've always enjoyed, but after looking over the menu, I decided to switch it up and try their classic hamburger instead. I'm glad I did--it did not disappoint. The burger was fresh, with crisp shredded lettuce, tomato, and their signature sauce, which I usually associate with the roast beef. It worked surprisingly well on the burger and added a nice flavor. The curly fries were a big highlight for me. I've always been a fan, and they were every bit as good as I remembered--even though it's been a couple of years since I last had them. The restaurant itself was clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient, which made it an easy and pleasant stop before getting back on the road. Overall, a solid experience. We switched our previous decisions as to what we may have ordered, and looked at what was available currently. (They apparently have had a change of ownership/management) We ordered a pepperoni, with olives, mushrooms and fresh garlic. It was a really good pizza! The toppings were generous, and the sauce and cheese were delicious! it was the kind of slice that's difficult to get to your plate without leaving a string of yummy mozzarella that refuses to let get of the pie! The crust was really tasty too. They rub the outer crust with garlic butter for a really nice golden and garlicky finish, and although it was close to being a little too brown on the bottom, it still had a really nice crunch and chewy nature. It was a wonderful way to end the day! The folks at the full bar were very sweet and friendly, as was the bartender/manager/owner/chef (?). We will definitely go out of our way to visit again when driving through, maybe we'll even have time to bowl!
