This is my first time in Napa and what a great store - as far as auto parts stores go. The people who work there ( there were two and they were good with masks and distancing ) are super friendly and helpful and made the experience so easy. Sure, it is jam packed with stuff but that is to be expected. The prices are better than some other places nearby and even compete with online retailers. Clean store and very good experience.

After researching the issue, I found countless reports from other owners describing transmission failures occurring between 60,000 and 100,000 miles on this model. That sounds like it should considered a recall. I reached out to my local Ford dealership to ask about financial assistance through Ford's "Goodwill Assistance" program. My vehicle meets the program's general eligibility criteria--it's under 100,000 miles and less than seven years old. However, I was quoted $9,492.50 for the repair. Without any financial assistance, a repair of that cost is simply out of reach for many people with a median income. At just 94,000 miles and six years old, I never expected to be without a working vehicle due to a major transmission failure. It's incredibly disappointing, especially after learning how many other owners have experienced similar problems. Because of this experience, I've made the decision that my next vehicle will not be a Ford. That decision isn't one I make lightly. I grew up in a Ford family. I've owned and driven Ford vehicles my entire life because I trusted the brand and believed in the quality of its products. I had genuine brand loyalty. Unfortunately, this experience has completely changed my confidence in Ford.

I realized this NTB was right next door, so I wheeled my car over there out of total desperation. Those of you that know anything about german cars know that they are finicky, and most shops refuse to touch them. This was not the case at this NTB location. Mike (that name might be wrong) and his team took on the challenge, and executed the repair flawlessly. They even set me up with a shuttle, and a rental car because my car needed to stay overnight. The team at this location is truly outstanding, and I would never hesitate to return.
