Akeem handled everything with a high level of professionalism while also showing kindness and empathy, which made the entire experience much more comfortable and reassuring. It's clear that he values customer satisfaction and goes above and beyond to make sure customers feel heard and supported. I took my car in for an oil change and oil leak. They determined it was the vacuum pump. They said they'd order the part and charge around 900 bucks. I dropped the car off a few days later and it sat there all day. When I called for an update, they told me the part hadn't arrived and never decided to call me and let me know that. They said they'd call me when the part arrived. I had put down 200 dollars deposit and they never called me at any point to let me know the part arrived. They called me about a tire special, but never even acknowledged that they never followed up with the oil leak. Then I was told they'd call me back again and it never happened. I asked to make an appointment for a tire repair and I was told to 9:30 am the following day. I arrived at 9:20 , not to be late. 3 hours later my car was finally taken back ! I waited in the lobby since it's my only car n I needed to get to work , was not told I would be waiting this long ! They obviously don't take appointments ... Giving one star because I can't give zero. This place should be permanently closed. The staff was rude and unhelpful. I believe they didn't change my oil or they forgot to add the oil back in. Only four months after receiving the oil change my engine had less than half a quart of oil. My engine now has complete engine failure and is completely destroyed. I now need to either pay $13,000 for a new engine or scrap my 2017 car. Please go literally anywhere else!! read more

Two stars right now. My son brought his car home from school and it was making a front end rattling sound. He was told to bring it right in. After they did a diagnostic, they told him he was "lucky to have made it home" (a 324 mile drive). He was told he needed 4 new tires, brakes and a front left axel totalling $2500. It's a high mileage car and It's been a while on the tires and brakes, so we went ahead. 5 hours later he drove the car away and it was still making the noise, so he brought it back and was told "Oh yeah, the struts needed to be replaced, but since it's not critical we didn't do it." Mind you, the struts sound was the reason for the visit. So they sold us a ton of stuff, and didn't fix the problem until it was pointed out. Credit to them, they did the struts for free. Honestly, it makes me wonder if the car actually needed the work they said it did, they showed us pictures, but didn't show us the parts that were replaced. He got in the car, drove back to school 324 miles, and when he pulled into his apartment parking lot, the car was making a screeching sound. So now he's taking it to ANOTHER Firestone place. This is why I usually go to privately owned mechanic shops, but it was Saturday. Super disappointed because this place got good reviews on Google and I trusted them. Now I'm wondering if it even needed all the other stuff or if I got sold a bill of goods. I will say that the staff was great, the manager Jonathan was really good. It was amazing that they got it in and got whatever was needed done. Nuri had me laughing the entire time I was waiting for my two tires to be replaced. I came in on a Sunday with two bad tires and they got me right in and had them fixed in under two hours. Firestone Auto on Pearl Rd. in Strongsville is ridiculous. We brought our 2016 GMC Acadia in for an oil change on December 3rd. they called that evening to inform us our engine seized and it was our responsibility to cover the cost. we had all documentation of regular maintenance that we provided to Firestone. our car had no warning lights when we brought it in. Firestone escalated this to their claims department, an investigation was completed prior to Christmas and as of Friday, January 5th, we have had no word on a report or a status of our car. no one is answering our calls and when we do get a person on the phone, they can't tell us anything. I took my car into this particular shop for regular service: an oil change and tire rotation.  The following morning, my husband took the same car on a road trip to Washington D.C.   Outside of Somerset, Pennsylvania, the car developed a terrible vibration. He also smelled burning rubber.  He was able to pull off the highway and find a service station.  There it was discovered that only one of the four lug nuts on the front left tire had been tightened.  Fortunately, no one was injured.  I keep thinking about what could have happened, especially if my small child had been in the car. after the incident, I went in to inform the manager about this extreme negligence.  He offered no apology or refund for the botched service.  He only stated that he had not been in the shop the day before.  It's a tire center--they should be able to put tires on properly and safely. Came in for a flat tire change. They told me they could have it ready by the end of the day. Called them and they tell me come by tomorrow morning. Tomorrow morning comes and they said early afternoon. I called them at least 3 more times that day, and eventually had to go in person 15 min before their closing time because they wouldn't call me. Then I sat in the lobby for another 15 min. I am still waiting in their lobby as I'm writing this.... Update: they told me they can't fix it after I waited in the lobby for an hour and told me they would order me a new tire. It should arrive by end of Tuesday. I scheduled an appointment for getting the tyres checked and possible replaced on my 2012 Honda Civic. I dropped off my car at 8AM. They told me the car would be ready for pickup at 5PM - 'if not sooner'. They rang me at 2.30PM (what were they doing in the meantime, since 8AM??) and told me that the car needed 3 tyres and a tie rod. I authorised the repairs, and they PROMISED the car would be ready at 5PM. When I arrived at 5PM, I was told that it would be a little longer - I had to wait until 7.30PM for them to get the correct part and FINALLY finish the repair. The mechanic was surly and refused to explain what she was doing. I had to miss a desperately needed doctor appointment because of this store's incompetence and lack of communication. The only decent person in this store was the counter person, who clearly felt bad about the situation. We visited here to have an oil change on a Sunday. We made an appointment the day before and had to change it, and the manager was very nice about our change. The location is in "downtown" Cleveland heights. When we visited, we dropped off our car and waited for a while. When they called us, they let us know that there would be a delay, which I felt was very courteous. The delay ended up being more than expected, and because of that, the manager ended up giving us our oil change for free, which I felt was extremely kind; we weren't hugely inconvenienced by the event, but he really went out of his way to make us feel welcome. We will almost definitely return here for future oil changes and maintenance, and I would recommend this Firestone based on the service I received here today. read more

I got the spark XP6203 Iridium spark plugs, online they're are $7-$9, they charged me $20.99 for 4 of them, charged me $86.80 just to REMOVE/REPLACE the spark plugs. Charged me $57.98 for 2 coolant fluid bottles, when it cost $13 online. Then charges me $71 for the labor of exchanging my coolant fluid. To sum it all up, if you don't want to be overcharged for parts, and charged for labor that cost more than the actual part, then don't come here read more

I really appreciate the work these folks did last minute for me. My power steering lines got chewed by a rodent and they fixed it within four hours of diagnosing it. Although the costs were a little higher than I thought, it was worth it to get my vehicle back within such a short period of time. The staff was super chill on the phone and in person as well. I prefer going to locally owned garages but when you have no other option, this place will help you in a reliable amount of time, which is most important. read more

I was begged to NOT post a review as "it would effect my store" stated Jordan the store manager. On September 25, I purchased 4 new Firestone/Bridgestone Weatherguard tires. 10 days later, on October 4th, the back driver side tire exploded, dropping the car to the rim while traveling 20 mph in downtown Cleveland. The tire was replaced, and feeling future issues with the rermaining tires I felt pressured into purchasing "Resolv" Tire Protection Membership" to protect my vehicle of any additional tire issues. The service manager at Firestone Cedar Road(Logan) stated no problems had been reported with the tires as they were a new tire and ONLY a few months old. Denying any defective problems. 3-DAYS LATER...the two passenger Firestone/ Bridgestone Weatherguard tires also exploded. Again, I was driving inter-city, at 30 mph and vehicle now stranded dangerously in traffic. I HAD TO PURCHASE THE TOW TO FIRESTONE! Jordan, the Cedar Road Manager, Firestone store, appeared shocked that two additional tires on the same vehicle and stated he needed to contact Corporate to work the "issue". The comment made was that "corporate was accusing me of popping my tires because no defects, and no other problems with the Bridgestone Weatherguard tires had been reported". What a lame and absurd comment. 1) what individual would pop 3 tires on their vehicle. Their only transportation? You are very fortunate I was not on the highway driving 65 mpg. Rolled the vehicle causing harm to my passenger or even death to myself and others. 2) I had used Firestone for over 10 years in Colorado. To be man handled by this store only represents the kind of attitude towards ANY TYPE OF PROBLEM RESOLUTION. 3) this store Manager's attitude was a "shut up and put up ... we did our job demeanor"... talk about a sexual bias towards females!! 4) I'm still waiting for Corporate to contact me regarding reimbursement for the tow due to their negligence and defective tires. 5) i was told by Service Manager LOGANthey would charge resolv membership (I PAID FOR UNDER PRESSURE) FOR A 4-WHEEL ALIGNMENT. Brought my brand new aftermarket wheels here to be mounted on tires and installed on my vehicle. During the process all four of my wheels were scratched on their faces. Bought my car in on a Wednesday, because they said i needed an appointment. They didn't look at my vehicle until Thursday night because i kept calling for status update since they said it shouldn't take long. Thursday nights update, they said they have to order a cooling fan module which will take until the following Monday to arrive. Waited until Monday and they said they couldn't do the job because of my bumper. I weent somewhere else and they fixed the bumper AND cooling fan module for about the same they quoted me to just put the module on which was $450.00. 0/10 will never come again. read more

This Firestone was my go to place for tires and service for more than 30 years. Not any more. New staff is completely clueless. Had my car dropped off by AAA for a flat tire. First they claimed it was never dropped off until we made them get off their butts and go out and look for it. It was there. The next day they never call so we called to check. Now they tell us they didn't get the keys for the car. Wrong again. They were in the visor. Then they sent an estimate for $30 dollars to repair. But oh wait, now they need to replace the one tire...$400 bucks. We said no way, we want a cheap tire. Oh well, now they tell us they do have cheaper tires but they have to order it and it will take days. Never going back here again. They had a loyal customer with 8 cars over the years. i took my car in for front brake repair. i was told $419 when i got there it was $479. so of course i paid it. the next day my brakes squealed when i stopped. i thought it was because they are newly repaired. it continued 5 days later. i called and of course they gave me the old your rear brakes need work also that must be the noise. what!! so its making a completely different noise from the reason i took it in originally (grinding and squealing are 2 different noises. avoid this place do not go there. read more

This should be a 0 star because I ultimately didn't receive service. I scheduled to have an oil change and planned to wait for it to be completed. When I called to schedule it, I was told it'd take about an hour. I also made it clear I would be planning to wait. Dropped my car off for the appointment. Two people sitting around chatting in the work area (not working). Walked to a coffee shop nearby since their waiting area is being redone. Almost 2 hours go by and I call for an update. They hadn't even started on my car. They said they had someone recently quit. Honestly - I get that stuff happens, but don't lie when you give time estimates/don't offer people to wait for service to be completed. I cancelled the appointment 2 hours in since no one had touched my car and came and picked it up where it was still sitting in the lot. Worker who handed me my keys didn't even apologize. I remember at least a few years ago, there was an older gentleman who ran this place. It was pretty good back then. He always called - never later than expected - with updates. I called to schedule an appointment to have a blinker light replaced and a heat shield looked at as it had come loose. I left my car overnight to have it looked at the next day. Nobody called me to update me or give me an estimate. I finally called at 2 pm. I was told that they had problems with technicians calling off and that they may not be able to look at it. I picked up the car and scheduled another appointment for the next day. When I arrived, they told me they were "just about" to call me to tell me that they did not have enough technicians. I took it to another establishment who fit me in and resolved my problem in 15 minutes. Although I have patronized this business for years, I will never be going back. I live in the neighborhood, but the poor service far outweighs the convenience. More than one of my friends have also had the same sad experience. Brought my new vehicle in to replace a tire due to running over a nail. The spare tire was not put back under the car after the technician completed his work. Firestone also damaged my car and will not accept responsibility. It's very clear the damage was caused by a tool. Long story short: they tried to take advantage of my girlfriend because she didn't know much about cars. When confronted, they refused to do any work at the quoted price citing safety concerns but offered to do the work if I bought the more expensive (4x) 'lifetime warranty' on the brakes. Details below. My girlfriend went in for a brake job which was quoted at $115, they call her a few hours later telling her she needs to replace the rotors and the calipers and it'll cost $785. She calls me and I head over to Firestone to see how a $115 job turned into a $785 job. They tell me that the calipers are frozen, I ask them how they diagnosed this, they tell me they did a visual inspection but offered no real diagnostic test. To show me, they place a tool on the steering wheel that depresses brakes and spins the rotors. Unconvinced, I decide to depress the brake myself, lo and behold, the rotors did not move and the calipers are engaged. So I ask them to do the brakes for the quoted price and leave the calipers alone. They offer to replace the brakes and rotors for $465 and give me a lifetime warranty. I decline and ask them to do the brakes for the quoted price and they tell me they are unable to do so citing safety concerns, even though they just offered to do them if I paid for the more expensive package. They clearly just advertised a price to entice customers and then choose to screw them over to make extra cash. I took it down to another shop without telling them what happened at Firestone. They replaced the rotors and brakes for $235 with no hassle. When we pick up the car I ask them if there was anything wrong with the calipers, they told me they were in great condition. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a company. read more

When I called to make an appointment for the same day for an oil change, he told me that he doesn't have any openings, so he can't give me an estimate of when the job would be done, but he'd help me out and get it done that day. Given that I desperately needed an oil change, I took my car to the shop. To my delight, he called me within an hour, just as I was finishing up with my breakfast, and told me my car was ready! They were so speedy and friendly. They check your tires, your wind shield wiper fluid levels, etc. free of charge! They did all this even though I had a coupon for my oil change! I was so pleased with the service. I will definitely be coming back for all of my other car needs. They just make me feel like they won't take advantage of me. The sense of being taken advantage of is the reason why I am relunctant to go to most auto shops. Here, I feel right at home! read more

Agree with above. Had decent luck with things like oil change and brake repairs, but they generally charge 2-3 x retail for parts, labor is pretty standard. I might be off on HOW honest these guys are, as I come from Los Angeles where getting ripped off is too common. That said I love these guys. Yeah they aren't the cheapest in town - you're gonna get Firestone prices - but these guys stand by their work! Twice on two different occasions I had work done that needed me to return to them with issues. Both times they took care of the issues without argument and free of charge. And my last visit they had the opportunity to cheat me and say its something different so they could charge me. But they didn't do that. Rude so and so at the service counter. This is the store on Cedar across from Starbucks. Went in there the morning of 10/6/18 around 10:30 ish. 30 something person tall with black hair came to register. I told him we had purchased tires there in the past and asked if he could look at space saver spare tire. He said we don't do anything with space saver spares. I said it might just need air- which is eventually all that it needed. He basically told me to leave the store because he was too busy. Guy was absolute- you fill in the blank. Went to another local tire dealer bought 4 new tires and they put air in the spare. In my personal opinion stay far away from the rude customer-service less counter people at this Firestone. They claimed that I never said several things that I was very clear about, then yelled at me because I told them to remove the tires that I didn't want. Service is exceptional! I came here for a brake inspection, and Mike was the one who helped me out. He was very friendly and explained clearly all the things that need to be done to my car. I was recently told by another auto care place (I will not drop any names) that my brake pads need to be changed, but Mike kindly told me that my brake pads were fine and do not need to be changed for another year or so; he also jokingly warned me to not go back to the other auto care. Instead of doing anything to my brakes, Mike inspected my tires and did some sort of rotation and alignment because those were overdue. Although the service was great, I was disappointed by their carelessness. After inspecting my brakes, they did not check to see if they installed my brakes back in place. It was after some time when I realized that my brakes were not aligned properly and I essentially could not pull my brake up. Yikes. Mike said that he would fix the problem, but it just sucks to have to go back again and wait for them to fix something that shouldn't have happened in the first place :( read more

Let me start off by saying that I only started a yelp account because of how absolutely rediculous my experience at this place was. I brought my car in because my headlight was out -- not a big deal. I dropped the car off and was told to come back around 5pm to pick it up. So i get there at 5pm and wait 3 hours before the manager comes up to me and explains that they had lost a $300 part that is essentil for the headlight to work properly. I was told to comeback the following monday and they would fix it for free (mind you that my headlight is STILL NOT WORKING). I brought my car back on monday but when I came back to pick it up the manager said that they still couldnt find the part they needed to fix it properly but that he rigged it with another part so that the light would work properly. He basically told me that he had ghetto rigged it, but that it should still work. WRONG! A couple nights later I looked at my headlights and noticed that the light they had "fixed" was less than half as bright as the other headlight. I brought my car to another mechanic (a trustworthy mechanic that I should have brought my car to in the first place -- thats my own fault) just to get a second opinion. He told me that whoever tried to fix the headlight had absolutely no idea what they were doing and caused $1000 in damage to my car. Basically, instead of ordering the $300 piece that they had lost doing what should have been a $75 headlight fix, the GM decided to do $1000 in damages by not fixing their own mistake.
