Horrible service. Had a breakdown while on vacation. Made it clear that I had to rent a car while…read moremy vehicle was being serviced. Scheduled one month out while my vehicle sat on their lot. One month later they told me that I needed a new starter. They then told me that they might be able to squeeze me in two more weeks down the road. The woman at the desk really acted like I was an inconvenience. I was told by an employee that they are primarily a Toyota dealer and only have one mechanic for Chrysler. Do yourself a favor and take your vehicles to Petoskey.

Rude, lazy and not wanting business? I went here last week because the Service Transmission…read morelights/warnings in my 2014 Jeep Cherokee came on as I was leaving Cheboygan to head home. I made it to the dealership and the young guy in the service pay was polite and directed me to speak to a lady in the office. I knew that it wasn't likely they would have time to work on it but I was hoping they could took a quick look and let me know if I could keep driving or if it needed repair. The lady informed me "all my guys are at lunch and I can't help you today." I tried to ask that I wanted to just know if it was safe to drive it and got a snide response. I left and called the Jeep dealership in Ypsilantii and the guy I talked to couldn't believe they wouldn't take 5 minutes to get a diagnostic code to determine if it was okay to drive or not. I was afraid of causing damage to my vehicle if I kept going but it was just a sensor issue and could have been resolved in minutes.

Fernelius Toyota - The snack bar is open and the TV is on, but you can't hear a thing. It's a little cold in here not bad.

The customer service here is excellent! I was supposed to be scheduled for an electronic dashboard…read morerecall but unfortunately this was not scheduled correctly so I will need to return next week for that. The semi-synthetic oil change was half $$ the cost quoted from 2 local shops. The shop performed a 12 point engine inspection and everything was fine. I shall return for a tire check because their 'sink tank' wasn't in service also returning for the recall. It's such a relaxing place with a large updated coffee shop with excellent prices on meals and snack as well as all of the foo foo coffees to choose from. French fries are only $2 for a box of string fries. Minus -1 point because the ketchup was really cold and sorta ruined to hot fries. I would have asked for a warm up but don't want to complain...much. Because this is a great place. Thank you Toyota!!

Sales and delivery were quite satisfactory. What's up with the maintenance department? Numerous…read morerecent telephonic attempts were unanswered by maintenance after extended waiting periods. Ultimately went to the dealership and got the earliest appointment available...SIX WEEKS AWAY! I bought this vehicle brand new at Fernelius Toyota. The absence of available service will undoubtedly influence my next choice of dealerships. You'll sell it to me, Fernelius, but 30 months later you're unable to find the time to repair it? Systemic maintenance issues are not particularly reassuring to the car-buying public.

When I called Chad at Patriot Auto Repair he said he was busy but thought he could take the time to take a look. I've been taking my $40k Ford SuperDuty to Dan Fein since 2004. He's a great guy--honest and…read moreknowledgeable. I've since moved out of town and so I am no longer a regular patron, but thought I'd log a 'historical' review since no reviews exist. Note: I used to take my truck to the local Ford dealership that sold me the truck--Krug Rivertown Ford--but their Sales, Service, Management, Bodyshop personnel were all rude, incompetent, unknowledgeble, arrogant, and overpriced. They were purchased by Fernelius recently, so I hope improvements are in store for them. Fein's Auto Repair is great at diagnosis and explaining problems. They work diligently and deliver as promised, always. Examples of work they've done for me: HVAC vacuum; complete front end; u-joints; 4WD lockable hubs (WARN brand); starter motor; glowplug relay solenoid (Note: the old local Ford 'stealership' recommended replacing the glowplugs themselves @ almost $2k, including diagnostic--Fein's solution cost me about $50 and took 15 minutes!); Zerk fittings for all my grease points; et cetera. The only small drawbacks are that (1) his shop and parking lot are very small, so he his a busy man and you may have to wait a few days to get work done. This is also a good thing, b/c his capital investment is smaller than a big, fat, rigid dealership and he can keep his costs down. Also, (2) he deals almost exclusively with the local CarQuest to manage his parts supply, though I'm sure they give him a good discount. I wonder, however, if my WARN lockable front hubs were his only choice to recommend. (After a few years most of the chrome has corroded and they are difficult to turn, despite keeping them clean. Was this brand the the best option?) I've traveled A LOT in my middle-aged lifetime. Very rarely have I come across a repair shop at which I felt so good about spending money. His wife also works there in reception, and his son is often there too. They are a good family, and that character and integrity shine through to their business. In a nutshell: I trust Dan Fein, and respect his knowledge and forthrightness. If I ever move back to Cheboygan, he's the only person I'll see when it comes to my vehicles.
