Coming in to any male dominated space is a bit intimidating as a women so I was a bit nervous to come here but I'm so glad I did! I had an amazing experience here. Jay and everyone in the team had such an inviting warm welcoming energy and made me feel right at home. The customer service was excellent the advice and even the way they explained the different functions of my vehicle. Auto zone on south Tryon by the hospital by steele creek is horrible. The young black man asked me to look through the computer for the part I wanted, wouldn't write down the information I needed, wouldn't walk me to the item. I told him that's why this place is empty because of your horrible customer service. He said they don't pay him enough. I told him that his attitude is the reason. My son was getting paid less at target and in 3 months became employee of the month. I told him to work hard, don't complain and treat your customers with respect and he'll go places. Insert lots of expletives here. I was unloading my nice shiny new balcony furniture and managed to put a nice four inch scratch on the hatch of my car. Completely in a spot that can't be ignored. Argh! I popped in to Autozone hoping for the right touch up paint. They have a good sized display with a rainbow of colors and there is even a booklet there that tells you what type of paint to use with your manufacturer, year and model of car. All good so far. But... the booklet doesn't list my model. What's up with that? The tech in the shop was unable to help. After waiting until Monday morning to call tollfree number for the paint company, it turns out that for my 2007 vehicle the only color that they sell is black. My car is not black. Not a good experience. I have been to other auto stores including Autozone and they will always help install lights, batteries, etc, but today I came in to get a low beam headlight bulb replaced and asked if they would install it and was told they don't come out after 8pm even though they close at 9pm. While I was attempting to do it myself I watched the same guy come out to help a young woman install something in her car. I have gone to another Autozone before and got them to help me install a brake light after 8pm before so it is absolutely ridiculous that they would refuse to help me with my headlight. read more

Great experience today from Michaela. As soon as I entered she approached me offering to help. I only needed some filters but she offered looking them up for me on line. She had one but not the other filter one I needed but was able to arrange shipment to my home, and hopefully it does arrive tomorrow. Could not do a five star because of price, but that is not something Michaela has control over. read more

Mannn!! 4 people can handle this ! I was there for 5 minuets and can't check out the lady is kind of annoying person I can't believe it!!

I will never go to this location again. I went there to have my battery tested. They were unable to check the battery because they were unable to reach the negative charge to test it. Then, I was told that they did not have a battery charger at their location. I then went into the store approx. 20 minutes prior to close to ask for the battery to be replaced and was told "We are about to close in 20 minutes. We can't do that tonight." So, Here I am a single lady in a dark parking lot with a dead battery in a not so great area. Thank goodness for the gentlemen and my friend that showed up to help jump me. Poor customer service. I would never recommend this store and will report this to their corporate. read more

I'm shooketh of the experience I encountered. I was in need of a turn signal bulb for my vehicle, something very simple. It took quite some time to find anyone to assist, then was mocked when I explained what I needed. The mocking, eye rolling, and under breath comments continued as I was asked my vehicle's make and model. When the staff member located the bulbs, he threw them on the counter and walked away. Once he returned... so I could pay... he continued to be extremely rude and disrespectful. I left feeling so belittled. When I returned home to change the bulb, I realized he had given me a brake light bulb... after making fun of me for saying "blinker" instead of "turn signal". I refused to return and went to the Autozone in Sedgefield (south blvd) which was an amazing experience. I'm happy to know just this particular location is bad news. Save yourself the hassle and self esteem by going elsewhere. read more

I'm not sure why the poor reviews but I noticed that they are from more than 3 years ago and with one, one star review it was something that should have been directed to the maker of a paint supplier and not Autozone. Autozone shouldn't get a poor rating because a supplier doesn't make a particular paint color. I live a half mile from here so I am in the store often and the employees have always been helpful and polite read more
