I've been coming to this location since they opened, and they usually have what I need in stock, and if they don't have it, they can order it and have it on hand within a day. It's pretty convenient when you need parts.
The staff is hit and miss, depending on when you're there and who you're talking to. Once in a while they're pretty friendly and helpful, but the majority of the time they seem to act like you're an inconvenience, and can at times be downright rude. As an example, I was in there last night and a US Air Force Senior Airman in uniform came in asking for help with something (I didn't hear what he was asking for). The clerk that he was talking to all but blew up at him, saying "I don't have time for that right now. I'm too busy. If you want me to do it, come back during the week, or come back at 8 O'clock tonight, I MIGHT have time then."
Sorry, AutoZone, but that behavior is unacceptable, especially to a member of the armed forces. Learn a little respect. Wish I had written the guys name down...
The organization and flow at the checkout counter is pure chaos, too. There is absolutely no rhyme nor reason to the checkout process. Customers tend to just mill around at the front of the store, nervously glancing back and forth at the other customers and the registers because there are no clear lines, and you never really know who's supposed to go next when a clerk finally does call a customer up to the counter. You can also never tell who is actually running a register and who is not, and the staff does nothing to help ease the confusion. Once you finally get to a register, you may or may not end up actually paying at that register. Half the time, after your purchase has been rung up they send you to another register to complete the transaction. It's 2016, AutoZone. We have the technology to take credit cards at all registers, and all kinds of other cool, convenient things. You should give it a try.
All in all, this place is far below average as far as customer service is concerned, but is pretty good when it comes to parts availability. Convenient location, and it's the better of the 2 auto parts stores in Browns Mills (yes, there is one that is actually WORSE). read more
