We went to GW for oil changes, tires, and everything else that popped up with our vehicles while stationed at JB MDL. They are an honest shop -- I thought something was wrong with my vehicle a few years ago and brought it in TWICE for the issue and both times they could find nothing wrong with it. (Of course my car wasn't acting up when I took it in)! Now we have moved away and I'm looking for a new oil change spot and wanted to give GW a shoutout. By far worst experience I've had at a locally privately owned auto/tire center. If I could give no stars at all I would. First off, went here for a synthetic oil change that was vastly over priced @ $80, a dealer charges less so I'd recommend going there first. I came back when my car was finished and GW proceeded to tell me the door handle on drivers side was broken off when they went to pull my car into the shop. Told me they would call me with a price which was priced more than the dealer, two days later price was $100 for the part coming out to $214 total after tax and labor. They offered to fix it but not replace it themselves or even meet me halfway on the price and stated it was not his fault it had broken off and that something must've been loose so he doesn't feel responsible for breaking the handle off or feel responsible to pay any at all towards the fix. I ended up taking it elsewhere because I didn't want them fixing it, charging me more than the dealer and potentially breaking something else on my car. It's not worth the headache if you can do it yourself or take it somewhere else, definitely do that I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I was recommended to this establishment by a long time friend, so I thought it'd be ok to try an independently owned shop as opposed to going to the dealer, which is what I normally do. I couldn't be further mistaken... The folks at GW tire did several things for me: 1.) Tires 2.) Brakes 3.) Serpentine belt 4.) Spark plugs The tires? Nothing out of the ordinary, just new tires. The brakes? Cheapest possible metallic pads. Won't stop squealing! The belt? Ditto! Squeals like a pig. ...I'm starting to wonder if they even replaced the plugs... I called the shop up and asked them to make it right and they agreed, scheduled me, so I sat in their waiting room for an hour and a half only to be told that there's nothing wrong with the brakes and that the belt service was going to cost me well over $200. Came up with a bunch of BS excuses as to why they had to charge this, none of which seemed logical. Learned my lesson - got burned by a shop looking to make a quick buck off of someone. Well, shame on me, and shame on GW Tire for running their business like that. And on a laughable side note? The dealership is coming in at a good $85 lower than GW's quote! read more

I highly recommend GW tire! When you're not an expert in mechanics it's good to know you have people you can trust. I came to GW with an issue with my car just out of warranty. At their recommendation I went back to the dealership and was able to have the work done at no cost. GW could've done the work and took my money but instead did the right thing and guided me in the right direction. Went there today to get my tires replaced with great customer service. This started off good. I had a pretty bad shake in the steering wheel so I brought it to GW to get the front tires road force balanced. 106ish dollars later and all was perfect, or so I thought. I went to do my brakes this weekend and to my surprise I discovered they used a grinder to remove the wheel weight adhesive, and ground portions of my 19x9.5" gloss black wheels down to bare metal. Multiple spots on both front wheels. Originally Corey at GW offered to have the insides of the wheels redone at ACR and at first I agreed to that. After thinking about it, that sounded like it would look terrible. The insides of two wheels being new, the outside having 65k on them and the other two wheels just 65k all around, so basic wear. I then asked to take them to a shop I prefer instead of ACR and he refused. So I wasn't willing to risk a half a$$ job on half of my wheels like GW did by using " their guy ". I then politely asked for a refund and was told that's not what we agreed too, and that's true. But then I would have a little towards getting them to look uniform. Since then they've just ignored me. Please avoid a place that's too lazy and dumb to use brake cleaner and a non metallic scraper to remove double sided tape on expensive wheels. read more

My husband always brings his truck here, upon the recommendation of a friend. ALL of the folks who work here are professional, kind and honest! I have had to bring the truck in a couple of times since my husband is serving out of the country for a year and while I hate to make my problems other peoples', I am doing the single mom thing with a 4 year old in tow, so waiting and rides can be tricky. The friendly folks at GW are considerate of my circumstances, are always quick to respond to my emails, and even answered the phone 2 minutes before closing time to help me in my time of desperation. During my most recent trip to GW the truck had a code that ended up presenting a $2k issue that was actually warrantied by Toyota and the technician, Sean, was honest in directing me to Toyota and apologetic for having to charge me a diagnostic fee. I was more than happy to pay the fee for the honest and QUICK diagnostic. I am always a bit skeptical when it comes to finding a good, honest local mom and pop shop, but GW has definitely earned my trust and future business! Oh, and bonus - they offer a military discount! weve used this business for over 15 years it's getting worse i feel as if i was robbed priced tires out with certain stipulations: ~date codes to be within 6 months ~easy to access valve stems ~out the door price settled on tires setup appointment went to pick up rv date on tires 2 years old cant reach valve stems with out extenders charged extra to balance tires told that they never looked at date codes it would be 2 weeks before they could get another set. so the option was to take off tires and have them put old tires back on didnt think this was a good solution having pissed off people working on it . have my first vacation in 10 years scheduled for next week read more
