Ordered a rear muffler bypass for my 928 online and installed it. Quality was great and it sounded nice. Would definitely recommend.

This place installed some FlowFx mufflers on my Mustang, and sloppily cut up the paneling under my car with a hacksaw and didn't tell me. I didn't realize until months later. I will never return to this pathetic, shitty little shop. I now have problems with shit on the road getting stuck inside my bumper. They also welded on my clamp-on exhaust tips without telling me. read more

I was told that it would take an hour and a half to fix my car. It would cost $300. I thought it was a bit high but I decided to get it done. 30 minutes later the car was done. Clearly he knew it would only take 30 minutes so he justified overcharging me by telling me it would take 1 1/2 hours I asked him about the price. Arrogant and rude. Beware!!! Ripped off in Hamilton! Small, 2 bay garage, no waiting area yet they aspire to charge dealership money. Their driveway is designed for monster trucks with a serious dip so beware anyone who has a stock or slightly lowered car that is not an SUV. The two 21 year old kids working there have a "that's not possible" attitude and proceeded to try and explain to me how what I was trying to get done was impossible and would cost 1600$. The only problem with that is that countless of other people had the exact same thing done at Meineke for roughly 300$. I thought I would get it done in stainless and supposed better quality at Mufflex but I guess not. Needless to say the work is being done at one of the more reputable shops in the area that owns and tunes some of the fastest European cars in the country. How much did they want for the exact same work? 700$. What was their attitude about the job? Oh yeah we can do that no problem. Don't waste your time with these lazy scammers. read more

Bought a cat-back system from online and brought it to mufflex to have it installed on my vehicle. The guy behind the counter takes one look at me and then glances outside at my car and says "we are on our lunch hour right now, come back in 30-45 minutes." I leave and return 45 minutes later and greet the same gentleman at the counter. I tell him what I would like done. He says "ok ill make you an appointment for next week, we will get you a quote then. Labor is $100+ per hour by the way." I found that very odd because he could've told me that 45 minutes prior and saved me a trip. And then the second comment was funny as well because it was said as if he figured I couldn't afford their labor rate The guy clearly had a problem with me personally, because the other 2 customers that were in the waiting area were treated with courtesy and respect, and I was treated like a second class citizen. So I set an appointment, he marks it on the calendar, and I head back to my vehicle. Right as im about to drive off, 2 very kind gentleman from inside the shop come outside and stop me. They say "We would like to pull your car into the shop and get you a quote." This was very confusing as the guy behind the counter had just told me it couldn't be done today. So I let them pull the car into the shop and go back into the waiting room to sit. The guy behind the counter asks "whats going on?" Basically asking why did I come back in the waiting room. I tell him that the guys in the shop pulled the car in and put it on the lift. He had no response. He seemed very bothered that I was there, and once he disappeared into the shop, one of the waiting customers pulled me to the side after noticing how i was treated. He said to me "The owners are really nice, they just hire the wrong people" 10-15 minutes go by and one of the kind gentlemen who stopped me from leaving comes into the waiting room. He goes over every thing that I need done and gives me a quote of $240 out door. This was great news, as I was prepared to spend 3 times that for a quality job. (I really needed the exhaust put on because I have a built turbo engine at home that will be installed in the car in a few weeks, and it was imperative that the exhaust system matched up to the turbo downpipe.) 1.5hrs goes by and they finish my car. I pay the $240. And tip both of the kind gentlemen who worked on my car $20 each. The welding is nicely done and it sounds great. Im very happy with the exhaust but not happy with the customer service I received from the first guy behind the counter. I started to ask about them possibly doing my intercooler piping for me, but then quickly reminded myself of how i was treated. First impressions are everything, and I had a very bad one. Probably will not come back. After leaving, I went out and bought my own welder so I never have to experience this again. The guys in the shop were great. But that one guy behind the counter ruined the experience for me. Im not bad mouthing or talking down on anyone. I am simply sharing the experience that I had with mufflex. read more

I was referred to Mufflex by my dealership, and boy was I glad that they suggested that I go here to get the hole in my muffler fixed! The cost of the work here was a fraction of the quote that the dealership gave me. They didn't try to overcharge me or sell me extra services that I didn't need. They were also able to service my car right away, they gave me a quote minutes after I dropped it off and had it fixed that day. Excellent service! Excellent..fast service..no hidden fees..very honest..30 mins was actually 30 mins..worked on it while we waited..welded the pipe while I waited..excellent and honest and REASONABLE price..excellent for exhaust work..they specialize in exhaust work..was very pleased..he even cleared the codes to reset the engine light..I forgot to mention I have passed this garage a million times..my boyfriend highly recommended them to me and I have been to many speciality shops such as Midas and Meineke,,they count on people being stupid especially women..the one quoted me such high prices on condensation on a head light and tacked on nonsense repairs..And the other one screwed up a brake job.. This shop wasn't rude like most shops when they see a woman coming..this was a pleasant experience..I would highly recommend them.. read more

The last post seems to be a little excessive, I' ve been using mufflex for a number of years now and have never seen that type of negative attitude with any of there help. Did you talk to Denny? He is the owner and a hell of a nice guy, trust me he would never treat a customer like that. As a matter of fact I'll be taking my ram R/T there on Saturday for a 24" manga flow set up .btw no way are they scammers ! I actually have gone to mufflex on a few occasions over the years. My first visit to the shop was relatively good, for a basic Muffler install. My next visit was for a set of headers. These headers were specifically designed for my vehicle. I was quoted approximately 2 hour install time. When I called to verify if the car would be ready they told me they had issues fitting the headers. I offered to have them call the manufacturer. They declined. When I went to pick up the car the bill was over four and a half hours. I inspected the work and noticed at the bottom of the header was bashed in with a hammer to make it fit. Basic install I guess they can do. I would not trust them on complicated work. Plus forget about estimates it will always be higher. read more

I have been dealing with Mufflex since 1995 and let me tell you that there is not a better bunch of guys nor is there a better bunch of techs to work on your exhaust. Granted, you can't please all the people all of the time, but if mufflex doesn't have a 5 star rating then they have a 4.9 I notice that the person complaining said that he wanted a specific service done but failed to state what the upgrade was. And, rest assured, if they said it couldn't be done the way he wanted it done. Then it couldn't be done. Denny is one of the most even tempered people I know and he bends over backwards to help his customers read more

I went to Mufflex about 3 years ago or so to have a custom cat-back exhaust be put on my car. First off, the quote they gave me was incorrect -I paid a lot more. Second, they ended up putting garbage piping on the car and what they called at the time as a "nice exhaust tip." Not even a year later the so called "nice exhaust tip" started to pit and rust like crazy, despite constant precautionary care. Three years later the exhaust system is basically rusted through and I find myself constantly doing patch-up jobs on it. Do yourself a favor and save some money and frustration... go somewhere else. read more
