AWARENESS: After purchasing my 5th Wheel earlier this year,…read moreI noticed, when attached to my truck, the nose of the 5th Wheel was approximately 7 inches too high from my trucks bed. I had several solutions to correct the issue; the first was to have the 5th Wheels king pin box raised up and the second, have have my trucks hitch rails lowered (flush mounted) to the bed of the truck. These two fixes would lower my trailers cap approximately 6 inches overall. When asking friends of a good place to have my trucks hitch done, Manteca Truck Accessories came up from each friend. NARRATIVE: Before my visit, I called ahead and explained my issue to Louis. He scheduled my appointment and a few days later, I took my truck in. After looking at my trucks hitch mounting, Louis told me they had several ways to drop the hitch. One was mounting an after market rail system which the manufacture offered. The other was to change out the hitch entirely which to me, wasn't an option. While still with Louis, he made numerous phone calls to the manufacture without luck. He also made calls to some of his other business partners who also count help. In fact, those people kept directing Louis back to my hitches manufacture for the answers. After about an hour with no luck on the phone calls, Louis told me he would email the company in hopes of getting a response and sent me home on his promise to find the solution. As I got on the freeway headed back home, I received a call from Louis telling me the manufacture called him back. He Asked about the parts needed. Was advised the company did have the parts but, they had to be ordered. Louis then set me up for a future appointment date but told me, he would call before the date with the cost of the parts and his labor. A fews days before my next appointment, Louis kept his promise and called me back. He gave me the price of the parts with the labor cost and asked if I wanted him to continue the work. I agreed and later dropped my truck off for service. SCENE: Manteca Truck Accessories is located in the city of Manteca on N. Main Street. The major cross streets are; W. Edison Street and W. Louise Ave. EVIDENCE: As you can see by the before and after pictures of my trucks 5th wheel hitch, the work performed was solid, well thought out and clean. From what Louis told me, one of the securing bolts was too hard to reach so, they actually had to drop the frame in order to secure the rails. RECOMMENDATION(S): I had no issues with the work Louis or his guys at Manteca Truck Accessories performed. In fact, I really appreciate the "above and beyond" Louis did finding the answers and keeping me informed about the solution. Well done!

For me it ALL about 3 points. And in my categories I would give it 1 point or 0. But with that said if it gets 1 point with me then it's already worth going to the business. And if it gets ALL 3 points then it's a gem and not to be missed. For me looks and aesthetics can be faked by making some thing look good even if it lacks good quality. Here's my 3 categories I do my ratings: Excellence = I give it 1 point for service Value = I give it 1 point Travel = I give it 1 point (worth the travel) 3 points is the maximum I give and it gets my maximum high score possible. I bought their single mass performance clutch for a Audi B8.5. Spoke with Johnathan during the…read moreentire process from purchasing to install to breaking it in. Just about to the 500 mile mark he gives me the okay to give it some beans. It doesn't hold. I air my concerns and immediately it became something wrong on my end. I show him the data log of it skipping/slipping and then the warranty issue gets brought up. He requested I send it back to them before its up. Clutch is out that night and I paid to send it across the country. They received it and day or so later I get a email with the shipping label. Umm, I already covered that. Few days goes by and I get a "nothing wrong with the clutch". Excuse me?? It didn't hold, but somehow its my fault.. I write a review on their page and it immediately gets taken down. Okay fine I make a YELP review in a effort to warn people. Next email I get Johnathan it telling me to take the YELP review down or the boss, wont send the clutch back. Umm I dont want it back, I did what you asked and want my money back. That was several months ago. In the mean time I put the old stock dual mass back in and it worked fine. Lemme back up and mention something else. I needed the performance clutch for the stage 1IE tune I installed, that ate the factory clutch. I even went so far as to remove the tune, set it back to stock, in a effort to get JHMs clutch to even hold. To which it DIDN'T. When I had both clutches I measured the finger pressures of the pressure plates in a press and hydraulic valve spring tester I had that works in a vice. It measures up to 1000lbs and have verified it. I port and flow test and set up big block chevy heads occasionally. Anyhoot JHMs pressure plate offered 10/20lbs more force than the LUK SAC pressure plate. Which SHOULD of been my clue not to even install it in the first place. But Johnathan was convincing and I couldn't find any any bad reviews about JHMs single mass clutch. Well now I know why, they actively do whatever they can to squash bad reviews of that clutch. But since I have managed to find some. So I do hope this review is found to save anyone the headache this company cause ME and of course the $2800.00 Im out. If any attorneys would like a copy of the email correspondence to get themselves some lunch money, let me know. As if now I hope you enjoyed the review. Cost me, again, $2800.00 to provide it. And considering they now refuse to answer any emails nor the phone. I suppose I'll just make it a habit to remind people now and then of just how shady JH"motorsports" conducts business. I've dealt with Monkey's for years, having had them service and repair the two Class A RVs I've…read moreowned. I've had over a dozen lube, oil, filter services. The repairs included a damaged exhaust system from road debris, a leaky transmission seal, an air conditioner compressor replacement, battery replacement, and a leaky rear end seal. I have yet to be unhappy with their service. Monkeys is very well equipped to service and repair RVs with their huge service area and their RV lift which is big enough for even the large Class A coaches. They limit their business to gas engines and do not service diesels. They repair chassis issues, but do not repair house related issues such as leveling jacks or other rv house components. They are an authorized smog station and I've had several smog certifications done by them. I have seen government agency vehicles at Monkeys, and I presume that such customers speak well of the shop and its abilities. I have no idea how those one star ratings can be justified. The three one star reviewers have a total of seven review among them, and that often means sour grapes. Some folks can't accept bad news about their car repair and because of their frustration, simply want to shoot the messenger. The one star review that advertises another repair shop is highly suspect on its face. Such reviews ought not be allowed. So... from years of experience with them, I highly recommend Monkey's.
