Have had nothing but positive experiences in the 25 years that I've been going to the store. Highly recommend.

Ok just got an email back from the place regarding my issues so gave the place an extra 2 more…read morestars for him actually trying ..... not bad

Disappointing Experience With Transmission Purchase and Return…read more I purchased a used transmission from Mendoza Auto Dismantling for my 2008 BMW 528i, paying a total of $911. The first transmission I received was incorrectly identified, which Mendoza acknowledged when I returned to address the issue. They allowed me to exchange that transmission without charging the original restocking fee. The replacement transmission was listed on the new invoice as coming from a 2006 BMW 330i. When I questioned whether it was appropriate for my vehicle, I was assured that it would work due to a model-year change. I relied on that explanation when accepting the replacement. After further reviewing the situation, I still had concerns about compatibility and decided not to proceed with installation. When I returned to request a refund, Mendoza applied a 45% restocking fee. My original invoice had listed a 25% restocking fee, while the replacement invoice listed 45%. I attempted to resolve the matter professionally in person, explained my concerns about the original identification error and subsequent exchange, and requested a full refund. The business declined to waive the 45% fee. Ultimately, I accepted a partial refund rather than keep a transmission I was not confident would work for my vehicle. My primary concerns are the accuracy of the parts identification, the assurances regarding compatibility, and the handling of the refund following the exchange. I recognize that businesses have return policies. However, I believe the circumstances surrounding this transaction warranted greater consideration. I am sharing my experience so other customers can make informed decisions. If you're purchasing a major mechanical component here, I strongly recommend independently verifying compatibility using the exact vehicle and transmission identification information, and carefully reviewing all warranty, exchange, and restocking terms before accepting any replacement parts. This was an expensive and disappointing experience, and based on how my concerns were handled, I would be hesitant to purchase another major component from this business.
