    Guess my skin was to dark to be offered the same type of help.

    Just left Auto Zone in Indio, CA off of Jackson. I accompanied my father to the store as he needed to purchase bulbs for his headlights. I shop at Auto Zone quit a bit as I maintain my own vehicle. When we walked in we were greeted by Bert and we inquired about the bulb needed for my fathers vehicle. When he looked it up in the system it pulled two possibilities. I had never seen a vehicle pop up with two possibilities of bulbs so was asking questions. Bert proceeded to tell my father and I that we needed to find out what bulb we had in the car. My dad noticed he had the wrong model Optima entered in so he told Bert as it could have made a difference. When we had Bert switch it it brought the same results and under his breath he said" and we're right back where we were. You need to find out which bulb it is." Irritated at his tone and lack of customer service I told my dad to come on so we could go open the hood and look at which bulb was needed. After finding out which bulb was needed we proceeded to make our purchase using self-checkout. I did not want him or anyone helping us. As we were finishing our purchase what do I see? Bert offering to assist a Caucasian male walking out to his car to look at it. I looked at my dad and he looked at me we just shook our heads. Bert offered no assistance,l. He talked to us like we were idiots. Maybe he assumed that because I was a female I didn't know what I was talking, but for me as a customer all I ask for is service. What ever happened to greeting people with a smile and being nice. I shouldn't have to bleach my skin to be treated nicely. I'm really disappointed at the lack of service I received. It's clear customer service training is needed here.

    Eric changed my car battery in the heat and did an amazing job ! Definitely recommend this one out of the other ones in the valley !!!

    I came in desperately needing a battery. Lucky for me they had what I needed. At first things were…read morea bit rough (not due to them) because my battery terminal was being extremely difficult to remove due to age, heat, and corrosion but the super dedicated employee Josh didnt give up, he kept at it with cleaner and time and patience until slowly but surely it came off without any damage or anything which he warned me was a reason he wasnt sure he could do it. But he did! Saving me time and money that I cannot express how much I appreciate! Also he made sure I got the right size battery! I am so eternally grateful to him, I know it may seem small but to me this made my whole day so much easier and better! I will always remember this and this Autozone for this service.     Unfortunately I won't be returning to this Autozone after being a long time costumer here. Went in…read morefor help with a headlight and they're apparently not allowed to check or change that for costumers anymore. Also said they're not allowed to disclose why they can't, which is odd since I was there three months ago and had that same headlight replaced by a worker. Also couldn't pull up my account to check or exchange that same headlight since AGAIN it was brand new three months prior. Also went back in after repurchasing the bulb for a refund in which yes it was opened they also denied me of that as well. Ended up going to La Quinta Autozone where they both checked my headlight AND gave me a refund without hesitation. I don't know if your staff just doesn't want to work or let alone go outside because of the heat but they chose to apply and work there no one forced them of that. :)

    Jacob was very nice and he was quick to help me and get what I needed. But then the issue came up…read morewhere I wanted to buy a product that was on a buy one get one free. They only had one bottle on the shelf so I asked if I could take advantage of the buy one get one free pay for it now and when their next shipment came in, they could give me an IOU and I would come in and pick up the second bottle. They told me they could not do that. I thought that was absolutely hilarious. I asked him to ask his manager, but his manager walked up to the next register and just started taking people in line behind me. So I put the product back paid for the original product that I intended to get when I came in and any after sales were history. Now I know why my sister always goes to Napa. They would have at least given me a rain check Giving one star because the store was clean and one star because Jacob was nice and friendly. The other three stars are negative one for the manager negative one for not having inventory and -3 for not giving people who are not in management authority to do something so basic. Inconveniencing your customer is not the way to do it. I don't know if they're aware, but customers are what keep your doors open. Denying sales is asinine.
