I went to the Auto Zone in Indio, CA on Jackson Street and Gabriel was WONDERFUL! He helped me right away to order a tail light -- the whole housing, because I'd broken it -- and he replaced the bulbs for me because they were broken too. So the light fixture works now, except we're waiting for the housing because it's on order. Gabriel was perfect, and so kind. He showed me how to take the old housing out and put the new one in when it comes. It's easy, but I'd have never figured it out. read more

About a week ago my battery was getting weak. Luckily I was not stranded in 115 temps. I drove down to the Autozone down the street from my house where we purchased the battery. The manager tested the battery for me. Luckily it was still under warranty and he even installed it for me. I was in and out of there in 10 minutes. My 2004 Honda Civic has been having a few mechanical problems with the engine, so I stopped over to ask for the Diagnostic device. Nancy being exceptionally nice to me gave me the device and told me that because of covid-19 the customer would have to get the readings, return the device and she would print off the findings. I could not find out where to plug the device into on my car. I returned to the store and Nancy said give me a moment, I will check it for you. So she went with me to my car looked and immediately said "it's right there" I said Nancy you are a Genius, you deserve a raise. She said " go online". So I am asking you to give Nancy that raise for her great effort and desire for the customer to be completely satisfied. Just left Auto Zone in Indio, CA off of Jackson. I accompanied my father to the store as he needed to purchase bulbs for his headlights. I shop at Auto Zone quit a bit as I maintain my own vehicle. When we walked in we were greeted by Bert and we inquired about the bulb needed for my fathers vehicle. When he looked it up in the system it pulled two possibilities. I had never seen a vehicle pop up with two possibilities of bulbs so was asking questions. Bert proceeded to tell my father and I that we needed to find out what bulb we had in the car. My dad noticed he had the wrong model Optima entered in so he told Bert as it could have made a difference. When we had Bert switch it it brought the same results and under his breath he said" and we're right back where we were. You need to find out which bulb it is." Irritated at his tone and lack of customer service I told my dad to come on so we could go open the hood and look at which bulb was needed. After finding out which bulb was needed we proceeded to make our purchase using self-checkout. I did not want him or anyone helping us. As we were finishing our purchase what do I see? Bert offering to assist a Caucasian male walking out to his car to look at it. I looked at my dad and he looked at me we just shook our heads. Bert offered no assistance,l. He talked to us like we were idiots. Maybe he assumed that because I was a female I didn't know what I was talking, but for me as a customer all I ask for is service. What ever happened to greeting people with a smile and being nice. I shouldn't have to bleach my skin to be treated nicely. I'm really disappointed at the lack of service I received. My Honda Civic's engine light came on saying "check emissions system" I took it to this AutoZone to check it out. There was a helpful young man that was helping me but then he got someone else with more expertise because I had more questions about a sensor or the thermostat. The man's name is Rosbel (his name tag) he was so helpful and when he was explaining my husband what to do I was telling my husband to ask Rosbel if he could refer us to a mechanic and so Rosbel was so kind enough to do it for us. I don't live in the area and lost my receipt, called up and talked to Roger and he helped me find the transaction info to make the return at another autozone because the one thats bear me where I went to make the return couldn't care less to help me at all. my husband is out of town for the week and I found my car with a dead battery in the middle of the hot summer day as I was picking up my three girls from school. went to auto done for help and Luna Noe not only tested my battery but pulled out the old one and replaced it with the new one and had me (and my young girls) back on the road in less than twenty minutes. He also checked my lights and blinkers to be sure everything was working. multiple team members checked on me and my girls as we waited inside the building. Called on the phone and spoke with Diane. Awesome employee. Went above and beyond to help me get the parts I needed as quick as she could. It was the best interaction I've had so far with Autozone on Jackson st. She is great. One other comment, I did go to the store on 111 yesterday, and was assisted by the manager. He was great also. Was sold a part that didn't fit my car. Went to exchange or return part. Didn't have my receipt with me. Have been a long time customer and this was never an issue as they always look up the receipt when I don't have it. The same associate that helped told the customers if he needed receipt to return his item tomorrow and the associated said they could look it up by phone number but would be easier with the receipt. I was able to log in to the rewardzone and find purchase, but still would only give store credit. Feels like he just didn't wanna help me with something he told a customer right before me they could do, and something they've done for me many times before. read more

The first time I went in I purchased windshield wipers, the clerk popped them in for me, no charge, wouldn't take a tip. Recently I purchased shocks for my hatch back, expecting I would get a grandson to put them in. They arrived in a few days after ordering, when I picked them up one of the clerks installed them for me. What a blessing these young men have been. read more

Today my car wasn't starting up, I knew it was the battery that was dead because it was making a clicking noise when I started it up and my AAA tested it and said it was low charge. Anyways I called before I went in the gentleman on the phone was very polite and helpful. Went into the store and the same gentleman helped me out, came out to my car and got my battery off within 2 minutes time. No problems and gave me a receipt for a pick up of today after an hour for battery testing. Mine was still under warranty so my battery replacement was free. Came back about 4 hours later on my lunch break from work, had a coworker drive me since my car was there. I went back a new guy helped me, in which he wasn't very helpful. He brought my battery to my car trunk, to which I asked if he could put it on, he then said there's only 2 of us working so I won't be able to for another hour when another employee comes. Another hour? Really? To then my co worker and I asked if we could leave the car and when they get a chance before they close to put the battery back in, "well I won't want to be in charge of keys" I said my spare, and same response. Asked if he could give us tools and we would do it ourselves. He replied with a huff and sigh another few reasons, then decides to put back the battery, didn't even put the battery cover on. And let me tell you, me and my corker are both women. And I don't know how to put a battery back in. HOW THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO GET WORK? Anyways the store wasn't even busy just 2 people in there. The first time I went 5 people and 2 workers, the one who took my battery off did it with no problem very helpful younger employee. If only he had been there when I was able to retrieve my car.
