I came in today, march 22, 2023 at about 12:30 needing a car battery. I had already looked online, and found the battery I needed for $80. Yes, I know an $80 battery is not high quality and will not last long, but I am a broke college age person so I will take what I can get.
My friend and I asked a lady working for help finding the battery and installing it. She instantly pulled up the most expensive option, so my friend mentioned the $80 we saw online. The lady looked annoyed, and said "you know, that won't last you long" in an annoyed tone. I said "I can't afford anything else right now, so I'll take that one." She said "fine" and huffed away to go get the battery. She was wearing a gray shirt and had medium length dirty blonde hair.
Under no circumstance is it ok to make your customers feel bad for only being able to afford the cheapest option, especially in a college town. I am appalled that I was made to feel shame because I couldn't drop $250 on a battery. The only reason I did not immediately walk out and take my business elsewhere is because I would've had to jump my car again. If you're thinking about stopping by this autozone, do yourself a favor and stop somewhere else. read more
