Employees are nice, but they're not allowed to do anything. Earlier today, I bought a belt... needed managers approval to make that purchase, so I had to stand around for a few minutes to wait for the manager to approve a $25 purchase. Got home and it was the wrong belt. So I went back to return... had to wait five minutes for the managers approval. Then they got the correct belt, and had to call the manager back to approve THAT purchase. And then the manager, the guy with tribal tattoo sleeves, seemed really annoyed WITH ME that he kept getting interrupted. This place is pretty close to where I live, but despite the convenience of the location, I won't ever go back to this place. read more

Yesterday, I went to get tools returned. Couldn't find the right tools to replace my O2 senser. Richard, the staff, was very helpful in helping me finding the right tools for the job. This is why I'm been an Autozone faithful customer for more than 25 years. I'm so glad they finally have Autozone in Alaska 10 years ago. To say I'm appalled would be an understatement. Stopped in at 5:30 on a Monday night. One customer was being helped at the counter. Another man, Gerard was at the register facing the door by himself. No way he could've missed me. I walked up, stood there for a few seconds waiting for an acknowledgement I never got. So I said hello. He said "that's not a return is it?! I said yes. He let out a loud sigh and rolled his eyes. I said "you don't have to help me." He tapped his finger in the counter indicating me to put the item there. Another employee said he's just being funny. I said I didn't find it funny. An employee acting as if the customer is annoying him by asking him to do his job and help a customer. Gerard finished the transaction, handed me my receipt telling me how much was going back on the card and to hold onto it for a day. The worst part....Gerard is the manager!!!! Awesome example you're showing your employees. I called my son to tell him his item had been returned and what a jerk this guy was. He said they're always horrible in that store. I'll never step foot in that store again. O'Reilly is the place to go. Always a good experience. read more

I've been a customer of theirs for decades, but not any more. They butchered the old "rewards" program to where it's not even worth bothering with , BUT their latest dirty deed was the final straw. They send me a battery advertisement with a banner on top "20% off $100+ home delivery purchases". EXCEPT when you order a battery FROM THE ADD , THEY SAY IT'S NOT ELIGIBLE??!! Basically false or misleading advertising, and their "customer service" can hardly speak discernible English and are no help at all. I'm sure O'Reillys will appreciate several thousand a year more in business!! read more

The guy named Jay S. was an absolute asshole. I came in looking for a car battery when I asked for help he quickly found the part and then was pointing in the general area of the batteries. I politely asked if he could walk me over and show me which part it was exactly, as this was my first time coming in for the part, he continued to rattle off the name of the part and pointing. He did NOT walk me over so I walked back over to figure it out when a very nice girl walked over an assisted me with what I needed(thank you so much to her only for being helping me out!) he then proceeded to watch over her shoulder while she assisted with ringing me up. He was so rude to her too because she accidentally rang up the item wrong. Then he stood there scrolling on his phone. He should not be in customer service, how unhelpful and rude! read more

I had my gas cap missing so I called up auto zone thinking they were the best choice. I called them and asked about a gas cap. The woman immediately wanted my VIN number to best meet my needs. I told her you don't need my VIN to get the gas cap. She said she had it and it will be ready for pick up. I got there. It was the wrong one. I went in and got a refund for the right one. I'm on my way to a birthday party. It took 4 employees putting their heads together to figure out why it's not the right one. So she asked for my VIN again. I thought this would make things quicker. So I gave in. 45 minutes and $28 later I got going. One day later. There is no seal on my gas tank still. I lost the receipt. So I called O'Rileys. They simply asked my vehicle type and if the lining of my gas cap was white or black. They said the part will be ready when I get there. It was ready. $17 for the cap and it was the right fit. Don't go to autozone unless you want to be scammed and waste your time and money. read more

Auto parts stores are not my favorite, nor most peoples I would assume. That being said - the experience over the past three days at this store in particular changes that a bit. I went to both other major retailers on the same day and the service here made the difference. A simple greeting upon walking in, a clean, well lit store, helpful employee(s), and a quick checkout, made it even better. Thanks Autozone, and the local manager - I will always be returning here for all my need regardless of price or location. Keep up the great work. Cleanest and one of the most friendly auto zones I've been in. I went in to buy wiper blades. A few days later I was back for a trailer hitch setup. I don't know the first thing about either and the sales guy helped me pick out what I wanted and get on with my day quickly. Also very well organized. Plenty of parking. This is probably the worst customer service I've ever received ever! Last week I walked The store to get steering fluid, finally picked one out I asked the gentleman who checked/cashed me out If he could assist me with adding fluid to my car due you to the fact that my car was in need of fluid and I was worried. The manager a woman in her 40's was very unprofessional and very rude! She told the employees to not assist me because there was cleaning to be done. Long story short I felt singled out, I waited 45 to finally get helped by a customer. I'll never go there again read more

Rubber floor mats were over $100 on Amazon, and I got them for under $20 at AutoZone. Staff was friendly, helpful, and let me take the mats outside before buying to make sure they would fit in my car. The sales person used his knife to cut off the extra rubber pieces I didn't need so they would fit better, and offered to throw my old floor mats away for me. A good experience. read more

One of the male employees was just all around rude for absolutely no reason. He refused to check our check engine light because it was "too close to the dirt" and "there was no way he was doing that", so we had to move our car to where he told us, (told us to park in the handicap because it was close), and then proceeded to say "you know that's a $1000 fine, better not hope a cop comes". We looked confused and told him that he literally told us to park here, and he continued to give attitude and a rude demeanor. read more

Great staff with incredible service at a clean, well-kept and well-stocked store. The staff at this Auto Zone are not only component, but also incredibly kind. One staff member, in particular, Eli, went out of his way to help me when my car battery died in their parking lot. Later, when he installed a new battery for me, he meticulously cleaned the terminals and did the job as though it was on his own truck. I will definitely go back to this Auto Zone! read more

I was Sold parts from someone that didn't know what they were doing. .very unknowledgeable staff. I was Repeatedly lied to face to face and over the phone for five months.. The perfect example of what you don't want to be if you are management!! My life was put at risk and, 5 months after the fact the manager says I need pictures to prove they are in the wrong?? I have no time machine and I was fortunate enough to be in front of the Midas in Palmer Alaska when the spindle seized from the melted bearings they sold me with NO DIRT COVER!! Come on ! It's a front wheel bearing!! Need I say another word??? Attorney General..Better Business Bureau..Chamber of Commerce! I hope you know those words. I am sipping coffee and watching the clock until those offices open! You cannot treat your customers this way. Went there and saw that there was a new manger. Went in to warranty my battery. Manger was really rude he didn't want to warranty my battery for me. Said due to it being in my brother name he couldn't do it. Had to go to a different autozone to get my warranty done. Now I see why everyone hasn't been going to this autozone anymore. read more
