6/2/25 - THANK YOU CYNTHIA For your help this evening!!!!! Let me start from the beginning. Today was a disaster my dryer went out. I packed my autistic child and all of my wet clothes to the laundry mat. While the clothes were drying I didn't know that my light inside the car was on. When it was time to leave my car wouldn't start. Thank goodness right across the street there was an autozone. I went in not knowing anything about jumping a car where to put the things. Sorry don't know the name, very spoiled by my late husband, god rest his soul, to not have to do anything related to a car. Anyway I walk in, in a panic and got a device to jump the car but of course I did not know how to do it. Cynthia offered to help me when she got off of work with her own device since the one I bought was not charged. I waited until she was off trying to keep my autistic child happy and calm. She came across the street and jumped my car and I couldn't thank her enough. Thanks to Cynthia I now know how to jump my car, and I have the device that I am charging right now. Just in case the manager doesn't see this review I will call tomorrow morning to make sure that they know their employee went above and beyond for me and I really appreciated it! read more

I was in Alameda and I needed to pick up a quart of oil, as I always like to keep an extra quart in my trunk just in case I need it!! Small parking lot on the side of the store. The store was pretty empty, and the oil I was looking for was readily available. A quick in and out, very convenient!! read more

The most overwhelming selection of oils and additives that you could ever ask for - and they are very good with accepting oil from people that change their own oil. So many auto parts stores reply 'we don't accept oil right now - all our tanks are full' - and I've never heard that from this location. Its very simple - you drop it off in their original containers and it has to be only oil and there is no issue. Beyond that I went in for some diesel additives for my CDi - I really like that car - it replaced my Pitzaaat and its my freeway cruiser and I know the engine will last to one million miles but the downfall of these cars is always the injection system. It can cost $5k+ to rebuild them and then $3k more for all new fuel hoses and injectors and intake cleaning and so on. In short the low sulfur since 2006 that ruined diesel lubricity and so the wear on the injection pump mostly fails at 200k - 300k when all the rest of the drive train will happily soldier on for many more miles. The only solution is to add something to the diesel fuel: XPD all in one, Hotshots secret everyday or Power Service or similar. I heard even adding a bit of Marvel Myster Oil works but I didn't see the data - I know the above three work and I know that this location has Hotshots and Power Service. I bought a bottle of each and will alternate with ever fill up. While I was there I bought some LiqiMoly for my Honda - Jectron - and while it was in the tank the car ran silly smooth - it usually jitters a little like a person with too much caffeine. Oil brands can be a very divisive topic. As is oil additives. I think in general you don't need them if you go to Chevron and change your oil often. If you have a diesel I would recommend you research the fuel lubricity topic yourself and make your own call on it. If you do buy a new $100k diesel truck - there is a lot at stake that perhaps a $10 bottle could help. read more

Extremely rude staff. Very small inventory. I don't know why this place exists. Just to take up space with their enormous and usually empty parking lot. read more

Well stocked and never busy ..plenty of parking in the lot and decent service...The staff is knowledgeable and always help without being asked to ...appreciate that read more

Never go here the sold me the wrong thing twice and actually broke something in my car that I had to fix

Juan helped me identify some oil/coolant issues, and even did the change! Highly recommend this location for their service and kindness read more

I went in for a few fixer upper things. Oil Windshield wipers Sealant Door lock cleaner. Rude and condescending. I'll never go back. O Reilly auto parts is close. And gets better reviews. They watch you close and offer help. Mostly to make sure you're not there to steal. It's not genuine customer service read more

This place is great. Juan was extremely helpful! Very professional, friendly, and efficient.

Huge shoutout to Aaron!! My dad is Vietnamese and always has trouble finding the right products or explaining what he needs. Aaron spent like 20 minutes patiently listening to him, figuring out exactly what he meant, and making sure he got everything he needed. Honestly, I've never seen my dad so happy leaving an auto store. He felt so listened to and respected. We only ever want to come to this location now when Aaron is working. He's just so incredibly helpful and kind. It might not seem like a big deal, but it meant a lot to see someone treat my dad with so much patience and care. We always worry about people making him feel like a bother, but Aaron made sure he felt welcomed. Thank you for taking care of my dad. You're the best! read more

Needed my battery checked. O'Reilly Auto Parts wanted me to remove the battery and bring it in to get checked, so I came here instead. Carlos came out to check the battery in my car. Sure enough, the battery needed replacing. They checked my history and said I last bought the DuraLast Gold 10 years ago. That's a long battery life! Bought the same replacement battery and they installed it. Deducting 1 star because they helped the customer behind me first with their battery replacement. I was told 20 minutes and they were told 40 minutes. I guess the other customers complained about the wait time, but still.. I'll be back for future business. read more

They're always helpful when I come in. I really don't know nothin bout cars so I appreciate the free check engine diagnostics. Shoutout to the guy who looked like Waka Flaka who helped me and my mom last time! read more

Aaron the manager is awesome. He is very helpful and he is very understanding and patient, also everybody that works there is pretty cool

My car battery died on me, I got it jumped and then came straight to this auto zone. Hector came out to make sure it was the battery that needed to be replaced and then recommended a battery for me. He installed the new battery and disposed the old one. (Side note they were only able to install because the store wasn't busy at the time). After installation of the new battery Hector took his time letting me know how to recharge the battery so it won't die off on me again. Thanks Hector. read more

Shout out to Hector! No upselling, straight to the point told me what I needed and my options. I needed a battery on the spot and was able to help get me back on the road in a matter of minutes, even installing it for me late in the afternoon (after 1700 they don't go out installing stuff for customers-- totally understandable. I wouldn't want my brother or nephews meeting complete strangers late in the day in a parking lot). Keep up the good work and thank you! Good luck with your NA search! read more

The place is really close by and good friendly staff! I get greeted every time I enter the store and especially my dude Aaron, goes out of his way to help out anything I need help with. I need parts for 3 cars and those 5 points rack up, and 20$ bonus helps a lot. read more

I ordered what I needed on line and went to collect it at my local auto zone which is so so so much O Reilly's. The two guys working there are super pleasant. It looked small from outside but it is positively cavernous with loads inside - super clean and well organized. read more

My local automotive spot. The staff is helpful and will look up an item if I can't find it. They are as knowledgeable as I am on the items I need usually, but are willing to look it up and search the floor for an item needed. I came in recently for a single headlight replacement and could only find a double pack. I was talking to the cashier, and his colleague was listening to the conversation as I mentioned I needed only one. The cashier walked over and couldn't find any singles, but the other associate went over and was able to locate the single pack headlight. I was quickly on my way out after and appreciated that they are willing to look for an item and help each other out. read more

The gentleman who helped me with windshield wipers went above and beyond. He sold me the right product at a good price then gave me a brief and respectful lesson on how to take off the old and put on the new. Excellent experience. read more

They have parts and can get the quickly most times but the store experience is slooooooooow. Even if you internet pre-order, you can expect to wait 30 minutes before someone will hand you the product... read more

I've been going to this location for a while and always notice Aaron when I walk in. He's vibrant and always has a positive outlook. You can feel it when you walk in. I actually came in today (time of post) and wanted to speak to a Manager to express my gratitude of my experience. I didn't notice that Aaron is the Store Manager. He does an excellent job of Customer Service and is an absolute ambassador for AutoZone. He needs to be commended for his work. read more

This is strictly for Lorena. Hope I spelled that right. She was extremely helpful in setting me up with a new battery for my car. First we tested it and sure enough it was just about dead. I pre decide on the battery I wanted. She got me setup without hassle. She and I went out and worked on getting that sucker in there. Tight fit due to the bolt that keeps it in place. Had to push while she wrenched it down. She is a champ! Hey Autozone... she needs a promotion. Period. She has the perfect customer service skills any company could ask for. Make it happen. Ty Lorena! Greatly appreciated! read more

This place is great. Charged my battery for free. The service was super quick and easy with a friendly staff!! Store was set up perfect for distancing and very clean. Thanks so much!!!! read more

And Alex from Customer Service told me Give them 24 hours to 48 hours. When we hang up the phone and I told him thank you. About two minutes I got a call from their headquarters and his name is Angel and I explained my situation and Angel said just bring it in and I'll take care of it. The next day I went to AutoZone and talk to Aaron he is also very helpful and he just needed to get my ID number and I got my parts. How great is this people in AutoZone? Called today looking for a part. He didn't know what the part was and offered a phone number to locate the part. I said I needed the part today and I didn't need a phone number. He then proceeded to explain what a phone number was. Extremely condescending! I said I understood what a phone number was and that I was looking for the part. He then said I was rude and hung up on me! Literally hung up on a customer looking for help! The most condescending, incompetent, obnoxious POS I have ever spoken with! How on earth he has a job I have no idea! You literally have an employee so condescending to explain what a phone number is when he himself is so completely incompetent,he can't find a simple part! Why work there!? I will never patronize this business ever again. read more

I went in to get my windshield wipers replaced.. I asked nicely if he would be able to put them on for me. He really said we're not required to. If that wasn't the rudest response I've ever heard. You could have just said politely I don't know or prefer not too. Just lazy customer service. I've always had the wipers put on. Thanks for nothing. read more

Just wanted to shout out a fellow Jessi who helped me tremendously today. Auto shops wanted up to $140 for a diagnostic scan - Jessi helped me scan my car for free in 30 seconds (with an OBD scanner) while also grabbing another customer a wiper blade and answering a different customer's question on the phone, in less than 10 mins. She was running laps around the guys there. read more

Auto Zone is always my go-to for my auto needs because they are consistently helpful and friendly. Shout out to Jorge for helping me out with my 2003 Mazda Miata this morning! Jorge provided outstanding customer service by installing an uncommon battery in my vehicle. He was patient and thorough during installation even though it probably took more time to complete than other battery swaps. There was a woman at the counter that helped out too. Sorry I didn't get her name but she reserved a battery for me over the phone which made the process more efficient. Will definitely come here more often for my auto needs. Thank you!! read more

So I had been trying to get to an auto supply store for a few days (that's another story...). Finally, I made it inside this one. Find my oil (2qts) and take it to the register. No line awesome. This guy (Pakho) at the register says "just gonna top it off, eh". I look at him, like what? He says it again. Ahhh, what? "It's for a motorcycle, I don't need very much," I say. So Pakho starts ringing me up, but takes a phone call. You know, I'm on the customer side of the register, so I can't be certain of what's going on, on the other side, unless that person is gonna rat themselves out. The transaction takes the normal amount of time, I guess. Then upon completion, Pakho says, "Sorry that took so long, I got a phone call that was more important than you." The obvious reaction to this is, this guy is real idiot. But perhaps Autozone is out of touch with customer service training. Somebody can be the judge of that.. 1st star : k was able to get oil for my motorcycle here (20w50) 2nd star : I didn't get jumped here. read more

These guys are awesome! I had only a few minutes to get there before they closed. So, here I was on my way home when suddenly I remembered that I told my son I was gonna get him something from Autozone. So since I was on Webster, I had to drive a smidgen over the speed limit. Got to the store with a couple o minutes to spare. I was calling the store and told the guy I was driving fast and he rest assured me that they would wait if I did not show up right on their scheduled closing time. Such a nice guy for giving me good advice like not to speed through Alameda! They have great customer service! And their store is super clean. read more

AutoZone Auto Parts - Auto Parts & Supplies Near Me - Alameda, California

Recently needed to replace a headlight on my car and AutoZone quickly came to the rescue, even gave me a discount and helped me get some grease to help preserve the light, to make it last longer. So courteous and helpful. There's just a great vibe in this store. I was welcomed upon entering the door and asked if needed help. I needed nothing complex, just some general supplies. The store offered several options of each category and well stocked supply. read more

Bought a new car battery from here and my car is back to working great..too bad it took me two trips to get the right battery!! As soon as I walked into this place, the staff was unfriendly. There was one younger girl who assisted me without a smile or a respectful "hi, how may I help you?!" greeting. I let her know I believe my car battery is dead because my car is not turning on and asked if she could test it first. She tested it, and I had to ask what % was it at because she didn't make an attempt to tell me what the machine read. It was below 10% so made sense, and I bought a new battery. I bought the more expensive duralast battery. Gave her my car's make, model, etc. She handed over the battery. Once I drove back to my place to install the battery, I realized she gave me the wrong battery because the + and - knobs were on the opposite sides and therefore, I couldn't connect them. Ugh, was such a bummer. So I drove all the way back to bring this up. There was a younger male there who was nicer, and seemed to care. He apologized and said the girl gave me the wrong battery. She came by and had this awkward look and instead of saying "I am so sorry that is my fault let me get the proper battery" she just goes "oh my bad" and almost acts like there is no issue. Car is working great, just wish it was a quick ordeal which itshould have been instead of a couple hours issue. read more

Our car battery had reached the end of its lifespan, so I came in to AutoZone for a replacement battery. Not only were they very helpful, but they offered to install it on the spot. Very polite and professional staff! I really appreciate having a neighborhood business like this. read more

I was working on a significant project; a top down overhaulof the front end of a 2007 Acura TL. Autozone Alameda has been nothing less then stellar. The staff went out of their way to aid me in my search for parts as well as finding other autozone stores the carried the exact part I needed. One person in particular, Denise, went out of her way to make sure my parts needs were met. Not even the dealership parts departments have given me such excellent service and care as Autozone Alameda. As a matter of fact, I have never had such great attention to a customer's needs as I had with the Alameda store Autozone Alameda also has a fantastic selection of tools for all your maintenance needs. I highly recommend Autozone Alameda for auto parts and tools. read more
