I was told my water pump needed replaced. I was so impressed by Hicks that they were so honest. They pressure tested my SUV and stated no leaks were found in the water pump. I told them to check the brakes and do the pads. The car was ready on time. Excellent work and very kind and honest. We will be back. Don't hesitate to use this shop for full service repairs.

I looked up to find out more about my van, and after talking to a friend about it he suggested taking it to Landmark in Roswell, (even though I live opposite side of town) and he would talk with them. My friend had 3 vehicles that he sent to Landmark and was happy with them. My Toyota van was drivable so I left it on a Sunday (they have a drop box for keys) and spoke with Dennis on Monday As it turned out, I had a seal that was leaking and did not need a new transmission as mine was sound. Seems the AAmco chains are prone to upcharge a lot (especially if one is a woman) but Landmark fixed the problem within 2 days. I am very happy with Landmark and Dennis and would recommend them if one has a problem with their trans. He is patient with people asking questions and is not condescending as some techs can be. Price is in line with the work and one does not feel they have been overcharged. Ammaco it seems does not have a good reputation going by what I have found out online. Mechanical repairs because of the what is in cars/vans/trucks is more complicated nowadays so it is a benefit when one can find a shop that is overall customer friendly.

"We don't want customers like you."…read more Pros: Cheap, reasonable pricing. Gets the job done in a timely manner. Cons: Cheap parts used, poor customer service and ability to explain issues. Background: I went to Signature Total Care Care due to all the great reviews. I unfortunately did not receive "5 star" service in my 2 years using their service. My first issue with Signature was having my blower motor fail and having it replaced by Signature. The blower motor they replaced it with stopped working after 2 months. They made me pay in full for another blower motor Second issue was bringing my car in for an oil change and having them return my car to me with a broken daytime running lamp. I returned my car back to them and they quoted me for a $300 fix. They also told me that it was not a big deal and could fix it at a later date and would not get pulled over for a broken daytime running lamp. But I had no issue prior with those lights prior to bringing it to them. My third issue was an oil leak. I had lots of questions and concerns due to my previous experiences with Signature. I 100% admit that they were correct in their assessment of the situation now... But it was not Signature who were the ones to convince me that I was in the wrong. Instead of explaining to me and showing me why I was wrong I was told that they didn't want customers like me using their business. So I will not use their business. I really hope that if you chose this business that your experience is better than mine. But in my personal experience, I would maybe use Signature for a quick fix, but certainly not as a long time shop.

BEWARE FELLOW VETERANS ON A FIXED INCOME!…read more The engine check light came on while visiting sister in Alpharetta. I ran my engine check meter and it revealed an EVAP code. My sister raved about the service she gets from the Alpharetta Highway location so I spoke with them on the phone and was told they would conduct a "Tool Free Inspection." Now, something in mind must have heard that as a "Free" inspection before doing the work. When they called me about the cost of repairs it was going to be far more than I could afford ($1,200). I don't argue with the estimate, but my concern is with the $170 inspection fee that gave me information about the 20-odd items (ball joints, cooling system, etc.) that I didn't want or need. I wish they had advised me on the phone of the $170 diagnostic fee, because I would have driven home without any fee. As DISABLED VETERAN who lives on a fixed income, I find that paying $170 for a diagnosis (that I had already done with a $14 code tester) that I was not clearly informed about beforehand challenges my Christian sense of love and charity! Beware fellow Veterans and may you be spared the "Vet Nightmares"!

I went back to get some work done on my brakes and pinion seal (rear differential). The first day they did change the oil and flush the brake fluid however they informed me that they needed a special tool to remove by driveshaft. After going back and forth a few days, I decided to pick up my car and bring it back later when they had the all the parts and staff needed to do the work. After several weeks, I decided to take the car back and was told they needed another missing part to do the work and it would be there the same day. They ordered it off Amazon. That was really strange... what auto repair shop orders parts from amazon? typically there's a local relationship with a parts shop where they can get parts same day. Of course Amazon took two days to deliver that part (not same day). Out of frustration, I requested to pick up my car and bring it back when they had ALL the parts in the shop. However, when I attempted to drive my car they was a extremely violent vibration that NEVER existed. I immediately took my car back and told them something was VERY wrong. A day later, Rich (the new owner) informed me that my car was ready to pick and the Pinion seal had been replaced. I asked him if the vibration was gone. He assured me it was. I picked my car up and it had improved but the car was still driving with a bad vibration after 50+ miles. It took me some time to figure that out (driving on the highway). I ended up taking my car to reputable mechanic near me (Wizard Automotive). Turns out, I needed a new center support, my driveshaft and support area was 6 missing screws and the flex disc had to be corrected. It costed me additional 909.07 to repair damage that occurred at this shop. Long story short... this is NOT Bruce's shop anymore. Avoid taking your car here!!
