I came to Palmen Jeep as a suggestion from Mark P. I haven't seen the reviews or star rating but I…read morebelieve this is the largest Jeep/dodge dealer in the state. So traveling an hour south to check on a Jeep found online wasn't a bad idea. First off when searching for the past year the Jeep I originally wanted was supposed to be looking for an off lease manual shift 1-2 year old with two doors diesel in Sarge green. I recall when the JK model came out I didn't care for the overall look and figment of the dash. It looked too blah and chintzy imo for the price. I believe that the steering components are finally tuned up to prevent front end wiggle wobble. That had been a recall issue in the previous 2 years. Special Ordering one, I was told takes 2 months which would be cutting it to close for my Florida homestead exemption requirement. I couldn't take the gamble on them delivering on time. So I ended up with a minimally equipped Rubicon that kept the price under 50K. Sales department wasn't hounding or lurking I had plenty of time to look the vehicle as if it were Sunday. I used the sams card along with the end of year "family special" that is extended to everyone through Jeep/Chrysler. I'm happy with the vehicle I got. I paid a little more for only 2 options I didn't want, but happy in general. Matt Collins was helpful and was able to answer technical questions about satellite radio, electronic release sway bar and the freedom hard top. Amb 5 Service 3 not sure I like having left the place with 2 key fobs a thumb drive and no physical paperwork in hand. No bill of sale or recipient. The certificate of origin came registered mail 2 week after the check cleared. The bill of sale is important for calculating tax for registration out of state. The dmv will not allow a thumb drive to be plugged into their computers. So they had to fax it down. It took me a few days to eventually get it registered and tagged. And insurance company could not start till the vin showed up in the Fl system. Location 4 Value 5 1/2020

I got the Wrangler I wanted for a price I could live with. I made an appointment to pick up my vehicle and spent at least 2 hours waiting for them to prep it while I signed paperwork. I thought I would get a duck for all my waiting. I was wrong. I also thought they would have started me off with a full tank of gas. I was wrong about that too. I have never had a dealership do this before.

After accusing my daughter of being "hissy" Amanda managed to find the service slip on her mess of a workstation. Then they replaced the part and it didn't fix the problem -- but we owe them $1300+. Their next solution was $1000 fix, again with no guarantee would fix the problem! I'm not convinced they did anything to my vehicle because I've never before had a part replaced where I wasn't shown the broken part at pickup. Based on how they treated a female customer and their inability to properly diagnose and repair a vehicle, I strongly encourage you to find a different Ford dealer.

Since Porcaro had what we were looking for this time we went back to them expecting our experience to be similar to the first one. THINGS COULD NOT HAVE BEEN FARTHER FROM THE TRUTH. After the ongoing horrible treatment we we received I made a Google review. That got the dealership to pay attention, but the only thing they really cared about was trying to force me into changing my Google review. When I told them that I would not change my Google review until I had a reason to. Things got worse. Essentially once they feel that they have made the sale you are at their mercy. I had a horrible experience trying to buy out my leased Honda here. When I expressed I wanted to…read morebuy my vehicle now that my lease was up, they quoted me the current price for a brand new model of my car. I vaguely remembered there being a set number I could buy the vehicle at in my leasing agreement. I asked them for a copy of it, and they said they didn't have that, I would have to get it from the original dealer I signed my lease with. That should have been my first inkling something was wrong- not having the one document that legally binds us?? That's Wild. I called the Honda in Chicago I signed my leasing agreement with and got a copy of my lease. Sure enough, it was listed that I could purchase the vehicle at the end of my lease for almost ten grand under what I was quoted. TEN. GRAND. I brought this all to them in person, a manager stepped in to talk to me, and still tried to make me buy it for $2,000 over the price listed in my lease due to "commission and service costs". Absolutely wild. I ended up buying it through a credit union which they tried to deter me from and it was the simplest process and I didn't pay a cent over the price in my lease. I had to raise my voice at this manager to get him to stop spewing his sales pitch at me so I could leave. Disgusting and slimy sales tactics, I love Honda but this branch cannot be trusted!

From the moment I walked in, Kenny had me cracking up but still managed to stay professional and focused on getting me exactly what I needed. He somehow made the whole process (which I normally dread) actually enjoyable. Kenny knows his stuff, explains everything clearly, and has the kind of humor that instantly puts you at ease. He treats you like a friend, not just another sale. If you're looking for someone who's sharp, straightforward, and genuinely fun to work with, Kenny's your guy. Ask for him you'll walk away with a smile (and probably a few good jokes to tell too). Thanks, Kenny! You made car shopping a blast.

Salesman wasn't pushy, but the manager was like all managers and didn't want us to leave when we first test-drove a new Honda. Told him we had to talk about it. We let them know in the morning. This is chapter 3 of a car buying Goldilocks story and this three star dealership turned out to be…read morenot just A-OK, but in our case, just right. So the first dealership, in Greenfield, was too slimy. After soapy showers and reassessment of our set-price discount, the second place (Boucher) was just too insulting. But this third place turned out to be just right. Now, we did hedge our bets, we came in 45 minutes before closing the last week of the month with a set-price discount so no bartering was allowable or needed, but to their credit here, they recognized this and admitted it right away. There were only a couple of tack on fees that although we shouldn't have had to pay for them, the net price still came out below what we would have paid at either of the first two places. They also offered a tad more on the trade in than the written offer from CarMax. They matched the finance rate from our credit union without pressure. They did not try to talk us out of the new 2020 Tucson that had been sitting on their lot for a year because they had 2021s, but rather gave us a choice of 2020 Tuscons. This made us realize that they Boucher people could have actually called this dealer to replace the car promised to us that they sold out from under us. All the workers are very young and of course feeling invulnerable so they aren't very serious about COVID19 precautions but this may not be an issue when you're considering buying a car. You won't be able to get out of the strange "passive security system" fee because they etched it into the glass (interesting tactic). One annoying overpriced option will be onboard (maybe a $200 first aid kit, or a $175 cargo netting) on any of the previous year's new cars but given the offset of having slightly better net pricing than the two Milwaukee dealerships, this is still the better choice. If you're checking out all the YELP reviews for all the Hyundai dealerships in the area you've already figured out that within a about a half hour's drive from Milwaukee there are more than three choices. You're also realizing like I did that none of them get especially good or even consistent reviews (have to really wonder about the 5 star reviews of CAR DEALERSHIPS right?). You've also done the research and realized Hyundais are very good deals to start out with. The professor-spouse was trading in a two year old Hyundai Sonata that was really a great car, and so we were also in a stronger bargaining position as we did not need a new car at all. But I do think 3 the magic number (and the accurate number of stars). It's possible that if you go to any three Hyundai dealerships by the third one (whichever it is) and end up going in in the last 45 minutes in the last week of the month when the new next year models are in, that third dealership will be more ready to seal the deal than any random first and second places. It's an empirical question I do not have the money, time, or mental energy to try out. So, gentle readers, the first dealership was too slow (see the Greenfield Hyundai review for chapter 1). The second dealership (Boucher, chapter 2) was too fast. They were both insulting and sleazy. The third dealership (this one) turned out to be just right. Will we live happily ever after with this new Hyundai? Time will tell but I do expect to have this one well beyond the loan payments.

Recently, I discovered the bumper had been poorly repaired and was held on with GLUE and another part held on with ZIPTIES -- something that should have never passed a proper inspection, especially from a dealer claiming to perform a 120-point inspection on every vehicle. When I brought this to their attention, they shrugged it off as something "normal" for used cars and offered a trade-in that would've left me fully responsible for the negative equity -- as if that somehow resolved the issue. At no point did they take real accountability for the damage or the way the car was misrepresented at the time of sale. This was a disappointing and frustrating experience, and I would caution anyone buying from here to have the vehicle thoroughly inspected by a trusted third party before signing anything.
