We have used Autostream twice in the last two weeks. They are very close to our home and we hoped that the service would be great. Unfortunately we did not find the business to be great at all. On our first visit we had an appointment at 8am for a simple oil change. This is something that typically is handled within an hour, we often wait for it but since they are so close to home we left the car. At 2pm we had to call to try and find out what was going on with the car and learned it was just being taken into the shop then. When we complained we were given a silly answer that our appointment was for the drop off time, not the time they would work on the car. I am 67 years old and have been taking cars in for service for more than 40 years and never heard such a ridiculous excuse. But we really wanted this to work out so we gave them another chance.
The tires needed to be replaced so yesterday we gave them the business to do that. But when we took the car in we explainedd that it had been hesitating when starting since it had been in for the oil change. We asked them to check it and to at least make sure the battery terminals were clean. They cleaned the terminals and said they found nothing else unless we were willing to leave the car overnight. When we went to start the car at the Autostream facility it again hesitated to start. We decided at that point to just go somewhere else. But this morning the car fails to start. This car ran perfectly well prior to the first oil change appointment. I am not saying they did anything wrong but it is a heck of a coincidence. But my real complaint is after telling them about the problem they sent us home without even taking it seriously. Thank goodness the car failed in our garage and not out on the road someplace.
I don't think this team takes a proactive approach to customer problems and I would no longer trust them to work on my vehicles. read more
