Nevertheless, I experienced straight forward answers, courtesy, and professionalism from Mr. Dave and his staff. These gentleman are experts in their craft, they do great work and only what is necessary! I brought a recently purchased 03' Mercedes Benz C240 to have a camshaft sensor replaced. Upon a courtesy inspection and recommendations from them, I had additional maintenance conduced (i.e. Fluid drains and refills, etc.). Ultimately, the work done was almost equivalent to the Mercedes schedule A and B maintenance; at a very reasonable price! I took my Jeep to API to have some repairs done that were covered under my extended Carmax warranty. I'm fairly new to the Abingdon area (about a year and a half) and I didn't really have a "home" auto repair shop that I felt confident in and could trust. That has definitely changed. API did my repairs in an incredibly timely manner and were open and forthright about the details. I've had Carmax service do repairs and it was a total nightmare (scheduling, rental cars, mismanagement, delays, etc). API was the exact opposite of this. I couldn't believe it, really. I dealt with Dave during my repairs, he was EXCELLENT in explaining everything to me and the lines of communication couldn't have been more open. API is beyond fantastic. I'm from NJ, and while on business in Harford County I needed immediate brake service. After being turned away from several big chain auto shops for having a "difficult to work on" import car, i found API. The staff worked with me on extremely short notice and I was back on the highway in less than 24 hours - for a little over $100 less than the chain shops' quotes. Dave was knowledgeable about my car and friendly. Prices were fair. They even offered to drop me by my office after I dropped off my car! They report their repairs to carfax. This is great as it keeps a running history of timing belts, basic maintenance and other items people might want to see when it comes time to trade in the car. read more
