In August 2024 I bought a used RAM 2500 from this dealership. During negotiations, the salesperson…read moreand thus dealership agreed to make certain repairs to the body and paint prior to my picking the truck up. First, they promised the truck would be ready for my pick up in 2 days. It took an additional 4 days for the work to be completed and I had to extend my stay in the area by 2 additional days. When I went to pick the truck up, the agreed repairs had not been made. however at this time my trade in truck was gone and I had to get back to the San Francisco Bay Area. The salesperson and dealership told me to have the repairs handled and submit the bill. After I left the dealership, I drove to SLC to purchase new tires and have the front end aligned. The tires hop mounted and balanced my tires but when it came to perform the alignment, the tire shop advised me the upper ball joints were worn out and needed to be replaced as an alignment was impossible. The owner of the tire shop showed and demonstrated the ball joints were severely worn out and needed replacement!! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE SAFETY INSPECTION THAT I WAS TOLD THAT TOOK PLACE ON THIS TRUCK???? I had no choice but to drive the 750 miles back to the SF Bay Area. Fortunately, I had purchased the extended warranty and the upper ball joints were replaced at Walnut Creek Dodge in Walnut Creek, CA. But this dealer charged me a $250 diagnostic fee that was out of my pocket!! Next, was the title issue. I had planned to register the truck in Oregon and requested they sent the title to the Oregon DMV, It took 10 weeks for the title to make it to the Oregon DMV, well beyond the 45 day limit of the temporary registration the Ken GARFF Ford dealership gave me. I phoned the Ken Garff Ford Dealership and asked them about myn worn ball joints and the service manager looked up my truck and told me they were diagnosed at the time of their safety inspection, however they did not feel the ball joint failure was urgent!! "Since when isn't and vehicle steering component not a safety hazard!!" After all these negative issues, breach of promise to complete repairs, failure to notify me of a serious suspension defect, and failure to send title to a different state in a reasonable amount of time, I contacted Ken Garff Corporate Office. I first emailed the corporate office about 5 weeks after my purchase and got no response. It took quite a bit of research to find a phone number to the corporate office, but I eventually did and made contact. I eventually spoke with one of whom I believed to be some sort of manager, named "Winston". It was about 6 weeks into my missing title by now and he assured me my title was sent to the Oregon DMV, however the Oregon DMV told me differently. If you have ever dealt with the Oregon DMV, you would know they are extremely efficient!! Winston assured me again that I would be reimbursed for my cost of repairs, but I never heard from him nor anyone from Garff Corporate. I provided receipts to GARFF corporate. Here it is, 16 months after my RAM purchase and no monies have been reimbursed for the dings and paint correction (estimated at $1000), nor have I been reimbursed for the $250 that was my diagnosis fee for the failed ball joints. I almost forgot to mention the spray on bed liner I paid an additional $500 for has seriously peeled so I had to buy a drop in bed liner!! I don't recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from the GARFF Dealership network as they make promises they don't keep, sell vehicles with serious safety defects, and lose important DMV paperwork.

I did not have that experience at this dealer. I felt respected. I felt heard I did not feel like I was being convinced to do anything that I wasn't comfortable with. The vehicle that I purchased was exactly what I needed and it turned out exactly what I wanted. I was very lucky to have met such a gentle kind giant salesman and I suggest you ask for him. You won't forget his name: Shreck!!! Shreck is awesome, knowledgeable, polite, excellent customer service, great sense of humor, very patient.... Anyway, good luck with your car purchase. Everybody has different experiences and has different taste. I just had a great experience and will probably buy a car from them in the future.

There were hundreds of extra dollars of charges as separate line items for each service requested, that were blamed on a system error when asked about. 2. Attempted to double up on labor for multiple services. Labor was quoted separately for engine oil cooler replacement, thermostat replacement, and spark plug replacement, even though there is overlapping labor, adding hundreds of dollars in extra cost. 3. Nontransparent estimates with no explanation of charges (i.e. labor, parts, fluids). 4. Was told that the Jeep would be ready by the end of the week, but I had to call on Friday afternoon because I didn't hear anything. We dropped the vehicle off on Monday. No one answered the phone so I finally left a message asking for a status update. A bit later, I get an automated message saying it was ready, about 2 hours before the service department closed. Very shady business practices. People who are not knowledgeable about the work being performed, are likely getting screwed. If I had the time to do it myself before my wife needed to leave on a long trip, I wouldn't have even let them do the work after the untrustworthy behavior. We will never bring a vehicle back here.

The…read moreauto was dropped off the night before (Tu); they said a link would be sent for updates on what was happening & when to come get pick up. It had been made very clear I could only give up the auto on my day off (W) & would need it by the end of the day so I could get to work the day following (Th). This link sent Wednesday morning said the auto would be ready by 6pm from the get go & never seemed to have anything happen on it so I didn't understand why I had been sent it or told to rely upon it. At 4pm I tried to call for an update but no one answered repetitively. I sowed up at a quarter to 6 pick up, the service rep listed on the link was gone, my auto was not ready...I still had to take it. Apparently the parts that had been confirmed to be in stock before the appointment was made were now being ordered in??? Do ya'll not have an inventory of what parts are promised to scheduled Appt. that then auto orders a replacement when one is used? Or at least tells some one to order it ASAP when it is used? If not then what was the purpose of confirming the parts were in stock before making the appointment? And don't try saying someone else got there for the same repair on the same day before me as I dropped off the night before & if two of us did that then your inventory system should have required you to have two in stock to make two such appointments or again what was the point in confirming the parts in stock??? Frustration out :( A 2nd appt was made for the next day off--this time I would stay in the lobby not because I didn't have a dozen other things to do but because the person who had picked me up for the first drop off was out of town. Also I was concerned that if I didn't stay physically present they might again need to order a part that they had again said they already had. The lobby was nice enough. I have an issue with noise but found a quiet spot away from most of it by the vending machine (Sat). Thank you for the cocoa's. And this time the new link I was sent actually did stuff. And ther repair was done. Oh, and I did try to just give this info directly to them yay know-privately in the little customer review they sent after...the comments section was severely limited on the # of characters it could accept so, here it is.

We knew we wanted something reliable and we knew we wanted something that would last... we also knew that we hated the used car salesman shopping experience. Drive auto was really chill, really flexible and friendly as well. No pushy salesman tactics or techniques - just a very transparent shopping experience. Very little if any wiggle room on pricing which is probably the only downside, but overall it was a pain free buying experience. Would definitely recommend them as they have great reviews, are friendly, and don't try and force you into anything. They even have something called 'overnight test drive' which means you can take the car for 24 hours to see if you like the vehicle! That's probably one of the nicer aspects!
