2020 Ram 1500 towed in won't start. Communication hub and oil change for $1062 took four days and included a complete inspection. Video sent in broken English that " all is well ". All is not well. Defective part not returned, perhaps because it never was replaced. The part failed due to leaking window, a fact I had to pry out of the service writer. The " inspection" is BS. A rainstorm the next day showed shredded wipers. Any inspection that doesn't catch wipers is fraudulent. There is more but I am tired of typing.

Car

I absolutely love Doug smith! I will always buy my cars from this dealership. Chase the sales manager truly treated me like family and I've never seen it anywhere else. He was able to get me into my new to me MK7.5 GTI after we had some issues with my previous car. I will recommend anyone to this dealership !

Service department is horrible! Doug Smith had my Jeep Wrangler for 10 weeks on a warranty repair. I got the Jeep back but the repair isn't complete and now I have new issues. My Jeep spent most of that 10 weeks neglected in the parking lot, doors unlocked, windows down and taped over, and engine partially disassembled without any form of cover or protection. Nate Garrison, service manager, assured me this is normal and that he's "got 100 vehicles on the lot just like this." If that's really the case, I feel badly for all of the other owners in a similar situation, without their vehicles for months as they atrophy on this dealer's side lot. Only updates I'd get is by stopping by and waiting to speak to someone. Only once was I called back with information I'd asked about. Updates I could get were usually one or a mix of "waiting on parts," "wrong parts received," and "waiting on tech time." I finally get the Jeep back last week and there is an error message about battery charging on the main display, trouble starting with the remote, new scratches and scuffs all over the passenger fender, the fender liner is missing most of the attachment hardware, grille is scratched, fuse box won't close all the way because of a wire now routed through it, coolant drips on the suspension components, snapped fastener at an electrical connection, and a rather large bracket fell out of the engine bay when driving. I certainly don't trust Doug Smith and Nate Garrison's shop to make it right. You shouldn't either.

Started off great when my vehicle lost power going 75 mph due to failed recall part. Happened to be close to this dealer and they were great taking my truck in. It all went downhill from there- no return phone calls , emails, texts on progress reports. Ended when I finally received my truck back 2 months later with less than empty gas and totally dirty on out side. Asked for a wash and a little gas as I left it with them 2 months prior with more than a quarter tank. I was told there car was could not handle my standard size pickup truck. As I was leaving noticed a Dodge truck coming out of wash lol Never did get the gas. Never did get any response to assistance with rental truck charge since it was a recall part Dodge should have covered it. Never did get an apology, a phone call a we care but sorry. Bad dealer very disappointed. Was interested in buying a Jeep from them but this experience led me to buy from Larry Miller Customer service is so easy " communicate" Hilarious sign near reception maybe read it , live it , be it.. I will spend my money elsewhere won't be back.

Express oil change lane
Kelly L.

They have a good deal for oil change packages. They do not schedule appointments for oil changes, so when I got there they said it would be about a 2 hour wait. They had some chairs inside and vending machines, but no real waiting area. I wish they had a more kid friendly waiting room. They say they include complementary car wash and vacuum with your oil change, but they did not do that today. I was super impressed that they got my car done in about an hour instead of 2 hours. I would have given them five stars today, but they did not wash and vacuum my car like they said they would. Overall, they had great customer service and were very friendly.

I chose Zach as my service advisor as I saw some positive feedback on Google about him. On the day of service I had to wait a couple of minutes as Zach was serving a customer in front of me. In the meantime and since others were around another service advisor asked me whether anyone has helped me out and I mentioned no, but said that I was waiting for Zach. Zach was friendly and properly set expectations. He showed me a couple of options (e.g. buy a pre-paid service package) but didn't try sell me into it at all. The service with multipoint inspection, oil, filter and air cabin filter change took the estimated 45-60 minutes. In the meantime I could use their waiting area and free WiFi to do some work and join a business call. I didn't need any coffee or refreshments but you could use it for free, too. At the end the bill was lower than the previously estimated $130. Just for curiosity I checked the price for the air cabin filter on Amazon afterwards. Of course it was 40% cheaper there, but I did expect that this would be the case and is in my mind ok for a $20-30 item. So bottom line and compared to my previous experience with other dealers I would return to Ken Garff and Zach. I hope this review is helpful for others who think about where to do service during the warranty period.

After looking at it they said the wheel bearing needed to be replaced and quoted us over $1000 for the job. We wanted a second opinion so we took it to another local shop. They put it up on the hoist and found that it was just an engine cover rubbing on the axle. They repositioned the cover and only charged us for one hour of labor (less than $200). I'll never take my vehicle to Ken Garff again.

EDIT / UPDATE: Changing my rating to 5 stars strictly…read morebecause of the General Manager, David Smith. After a very frustrating experience with staff on the floor, David personally stepped in, stood behind his word, and made everything completely right. He operates with total integrity, and I would gladly do business with him directly anytime. That said, my advice to anyone visiting this dealership is to steer clear of Swan. Swan was rude, degrading, and completely lacking in basic customer service. Dealerships live or die by their reputation, and management like David is the only reason this location retains my trust. If you go here, deal directly with David Smith--he is an outstanding GM who actually cares about doing right by his customers. ORIGINAL 1-STAR REVIEW: Save yourself the stress: Bait-and-switch pricing, unfulfilled promises, and useless service scheduling. I will never buy another vehicle from Doug Smith Kia, nor do I recommend them to anyone looking for honesty or reliable service. Deceptive Pricing & Undelivered Add-ons on New Purchases I came in to buy a 2025 Kia Telluride expecting to take advantage of their advertised $5,000 off MSRP and 0% financing deal. Instead, I experienced a complete bait-and-switch. They refused to honor the full $5,000 discount (only giving $2,500) and jacked my interest rate up to over 6%. To make matters worse, I explicitly negotiated interior and exterior ceramic coating into my deal. When I took delivery, I asked if the coating was applied, and the salesman shrugged with a vague, "I think so." I later confirmed it was never applied to the inside or outside of the vehicle. They simply threw it through a car wash and called it good. Selling Defective Used Vehicles & Zero Service Availability I also purchased a 2017 Honda HR-V for my son after being repeatedly assured by sales that the vehicle was in "perfect condition." Just two days after driving it off the lot, I found oil leaking directly onto my driveway. When I called their service department to get it looked at under warranty, they refused to take it in for nearly three weeks (October 5th). So now a car I just bought has to sit unusable in my driveway while it actively leaks fluid. Broken Service Scheduling Do not fall for their claims of an "Express Lane." If you need routine maintenance or an oil change, there is no such thing as same-day service. You have to book weeks in advance just for basic care, making their service center completely inconvenient and essentially useless if an urgent mechanical issue pops up. Doug Smith Kia relies on pushy sales tactics, false advertising, and terrible post-sale support. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere.

He was very transparent throughout the entire process, and I never felt like he was playing games or trying to pressure us. I've purchased four Subarus from Mark Miller in Sandy, but unfortunately had a very poor experience with a new WRX and Mark Miller as a whole back in 2019. That experience almost turned me off Subaru for good. Luckily, we decided to give the 2026 Outback a shot, and Doug Smith made it happen! I really appreciate the effort Mitch put in.

Recommend services you don't need to charge u more money -- premature brake change…read more During my service visit on January 27th, Doug Smith Subaru replaced my rear brakes, changed my differential fluid, and changed my oil (Their RECOMMENDED services). They told me the diff fluid was in really bad shape, and that my front brake pads were getting worn and would need to be replaced next time I came in. Today, nine months later, I took the front calipers off and measured the pads myself. They still have about 8 mm of material left. New pads are roughly 10 to 11 mm, so they're barely worn, and the wear indicators aren't anywhere near the rotor (see photo). I called today to ask about it. They agreed the pads definitely don't need replacing, but couldn't explain why I'd been told otherwise. If I'd trusted that recommendation, I would have paid HUNDREDS for brakes I didn't need. Now I'm left wondering about the other work they recommended, and I don't feel I can trust their recommendations going forward. Does Doug Smith count on customers not checking for themselves? Did my other "really needed" service really need to be done? I'd suggest getting your car serviced elsewhere.
