Autopia at Disneyland Park is one of those classic rides that is more about the experience than the thrill. It is definitely geared toward kids, but there is still something fun about getting behind the wheel and cruising around the track. Fast Pass is a must. Once you are in the car, it is simple just steer and hit the gas. The track keeps you on course, so it is stress free even if you are not the best driver. That said, the ride itself is pretty basic and has not changed much over the years. It is nostalgic, but compared to newer attractions, it can feel a little outdated. Still, if you are looking for a chill ride or visiting with kids, it is a solid choice. Overall, not a must do thrill ride, but a fun classic that is worth experiencing at least once.

Autopia opened on July 23, 1955 and is one of Disneyland's longest-running attractions. It used to be sponsored by Ford but is now sponsored by Honda. The ride is a guided car ride where you can steer but can only go along the center rail so you stay on course. It doesn't go fast (max ~6-7 mph) so it's a good ride for kids; shorter guests can also ride with an adult. Even though it's one of the oldest rides, it's one of the less fun rides at the park. It can be bumpy and slow, and it's not fun if the car in front of you is slow.

Vrooom vroooom! It's Autopia, where nostalgia runs on tiny gas engines and the scent of childhood is unleaded and unmistakable. Yeah, yeah, it's "just" miniature cars on a track, but don't knock it till you've rumbled (okay, bounced mercilessly and uncomfortably) through those scenic winding roads under that cute little bridge, surrounded by waving robots in scenes of the future and classic Disneyland charm. I rode this as a kid and now, even as a full-grown adult (who probably should've stretched before getting in and out of this lowrider), I still love it. Bottom line: it's worth the inevitable back pain, LOL. The cars are adorable. All brightly painted (unless you don't luck out and get the plain black one) with a retro-futuristic vibe that just screams Disney circa 1950s. Plus, there's a surprising amount to see along the track, especially compared to its Florida cousin. Disney World features a "race" theme while Disneyland has a futuristic "country" drive vibe. Sorry, Florida, but California wins this one. Is it a smooth ride? Absolutely not. Is it cramped? Oh yes. Tall people, you've been warned, this ride wasn't built with your knees in mind. Getting in and out feels like a flexibility test no one signed up for. I get all sorts of aches and pains when I ride this attraction but I still think it's worth it. One of my fave things about this ride is the gas smell. I know I'm a weirdo, but it's so strong but weirdly great. It brings me right back to my childhood. My least fave thing about the ride is the queue area. It's in full sun with zero shade, so you will bake on sunny, hot days. Make sure you wear sunscreen, or wait to ride it in the evenings (or when the line is shorter). The ride is silly, outdated, a little uncomfortable, yet I'll gladly ride it every time I'm here. Autopia forever!!!!!!!!

We walked over to Autopia while waiting for our booked time for FastPass ride to pass some time! It was a cute little ride! You get to drive these mini Honda cars on a track but it was a bit lackluster. Cannot accelerate and they basically set the speed for all the cars, no matter how hard you step on the pedal lol. I get it though since it is meant for all ages. I remember this kind of ride was one that I always needed to hit up, as a kid!

Located in the back corner area of Dinseyland and still a great Honda inspired driving vehicle ride for kids. While you have a track, you still need to drive in order to move, so if you have a teenager, this ride is perfect way to teach them to drive and stay in the lane without bumping. I let my husband drive and he had a great time. As it was his first time. At the end you can pay $10 ea h to get custom Autopia drivers license! A great inexpensive souvenir.tjry have 3 booths and we were having some issues with one booth, the card machine was.not working, but the app allowed us to take pictures. One of the booths was out of order and lines form quickly!!! The booths takes e pictures, and allows you to pick one! So amazing- why hasn't the DMV caught on and do this!!!! I know many who absolutely hate their DMV pic!! A ybiw, they upgraded the card system and i love the new look and thicker material! It is definitely different than the last time we got license! Love it, much better!

Knowing this is more of a kiddie ride, you can curb your expectations this is a F1 go kart racing track haha. Simple safe slow speed to leisurely cruise mini go karts over a set track to avoid potential disasters. Also spring loaded bumpers to minimize injury when some patrons decide to play bumper cars. Weird the pedal is in the middle at first but makes sense so parents can help kids drive it around the track! They have photobooth on the exit side for memories!

This ride is solid. I think I liked this ride more when I was a kid and went on it with my dad. Probably because I thought it was cool to drive. I'm not going to hate on the ride, because I can see why other people might love it and maybe I'm just not the target audience, but I think they probably need a refresh since it is in Tomorrowland. Maybe electric or any non-gas type of vehicle? You can definitely smell the gas/petrol in the air the entire time. On my last visit, I was behind two very young kids...my gut had a bad feeling, haha. I think usually any kid at that age (let alone two) is accompanied by an adult but they just went on anyway...sure enough, they were stopping a bunch of times while on the ride where I had to brake pretty hard not to hit them. I honestly didn't think it was a big deal but was worried the person behind me was going to slam into me sooner or later and jar my neck.

A vintage ride that still has that appeal. Line moves quickly the course is same as always. Cast members are super friendly. Super clean and fun.

Don't bump the car in front of you

This ride is a classic and will always have a place in my heart. Usually the line is not to bad for this one and if you purchased the lighting lane for the day this one is included so makes it even faster. Honestly though the line never seems long maybe 30 minutes if that for stand by. Not sure if kids just don't like coming on this one anymore or if the hype just isn't there anymore but for me I still try to ride every visit. Its pretty basic ride where you drive a go cart type Honda throughout different areas. You just push the gas and are on your way. Just be sure to keep it in line because it is rough if you hit the side. Also be sure not to hit the car in front of you. One thing I will say is it does smell like fumes or gasoline. I guess its not so bad during this short ride but I wonder if its bad for the workers. Overall its a classic and I'm sure not very long from now this will be gone and replaced with something newer and better but while its still here I will still be riding it.

This classic ride always warms my heart every time I'm on it. I loved it as a kid, and now my own children enjoy it just as much. It's more of a gentle cruise than a thrill ride, slow paced, relaxing, and full of charm. I had never experienced it at night before, and I have to say, I think I actually prefer it that way. The scenery feels even more magical after dark, and the whole experience is just more peaceful. It's one of those timeless rides I'll always love.

Khamphone K.

A must! When you go to Disneyland. The lines can get very long, prepare yourselves lol. It's a very fun ride. Few years back, the fake license was free but now they cost $8. Booooo... but they have to make their money somehow.

Autopia Cars
Jared G.

Fun ride where you simulate driving along a race track. Lots of cars so the line moves decently. The track is a good length for the wait as well. There's some variety to the car styles. Anyone can drive as the car follows a track loosely. The kids get to mess around and you can sit back and just ride along if you have a younger one.

It was definitely a lot smaller than I remembered now that I am an adult, but it was truly the perfect size theme park for toddlers. It's nice that pretty much everything is included, just a couple of things that cost extra, like food to feed the animals, souvenirs, arcade games, but mostly everything we wanted to check out was included. Our kids are 3 1/2 and 5 and pretty much enjoyed all the rides! The roller coaster is a little rough, but I think it just depends on your kid, since my younger one really enjoyed it. They have food available to buy in the center of the park and tables all around, making it really easy to just take a break to eat something. I like that everything is really close to each other, so you don't feel like you're walking around a maze to get around. I wouldn't even bother with a stroller because everything is so close to each other. The tickets are the same price for anyone above one year old. I do wish the kids tickets were a little bit cheaper, but other than that, I thought it was a pretty fair price, considering you'd probably pay the same amount for a similar type wristband for rides at a fair for example, and at least younger kids can ride all of these ones. You probably wouldn't be able to spend a whole day here because of the size but an afternoon or a morning is plenty, especially for this age range.

4 out of 5 stars -- Disneyland…read more We visited Disneyland on October 25th to celebrate my son's 13th birthday. We made some wonderful memories, but one experience left me feeling extremely uncomfortable and disappointed. One of my children has a disability, so we chose to watch the live Bluey show from the designated disability seating area. Almost immediately, a female employee approached us and told us we could not sit there and needed to move. Although my son has a disability, we relocated to another area and had to sit in the hot sun. What made the situation even more upsetting was that shortly afterward, another family sat in those same disability-designated seats and was allowed to remain there without being questioned or asked to move. The family appeared to be Hispanic, as did the employee who had approached us. As a Black mother, witnessing this difference in treatment made me feel singled out and discriminated against. I cannot say with certainty what motivated the employee's actions, but the inconsistent treatment raised serious concerns about racial discrimination and fairness. I filed a formal complaint with Disneyland and sincerely hope the situation is investigated and addressed. No family, especially one with a child who has a disability, should feel unwelcome or treated differently while trying to enjoy a special day together. Despite this experience, I refused to let it ruin my son's 13th birthday. We still managed to enjoy ourselves! We tried some delicious snacks, and my son especially loved a chocolate brownie pie that was absolutely delicious. We also managed to go on approximately five rides. The park was incredibly crowded, and it honestly felt like there were a million people there! Overall, Disneyland is still a magical place to create family memories, but experiences like this remind me that customer service, accessibility, and equal treatment are just as important as the attractions themselves. I'm giving Disneyland 4 out of 5 stars because we did enjoy our day, but I sincerely hope the park takes concerns about discrimination and disability accommodations seriously. Every family deserves to feel welcome, respected, and included.

I visited with my sister and niece for our company's employee appreciation day, and we had such a wonderful experience. Part of my day was mapped out using the Disney app and chatGTP. We enjoyed so many attractions, including the Mad Tea Party, Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway, It's a Small World, Autopia, Winnie the Pooh, and the Disneyland Railroad. We even took a raft over to Tom Sawyer Island to explore! The railroad was especially enjoyable because it allowed us to relax, take in the scenery, and experience different parts of the park. Now, let's talk about the food! We stopped at Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, where I ordered the kids' meal with ribs, fries, and a Cutie orange. The food was surprisingly delicious, and the portion was just right. Later, we treated ourselves to Mickey-shaped beignets from Mint Julep Bar. They were made perfectly--warm, fluffy, and absolutely delicious! The mint julep was wonderfully refreshing, and even the popcorn we purchased was fresh and tasty. One thing I appreciated was being able to enjoy the park at our own pace. We explored, took breaks, and discovered attractions along the way. There was something special about simply enjoying the experience without feeling rushed. And what an ending! Just as we were leaving, the skies opened up with thunder, lightning, and pouring rain. We got completely soaked, including on the tram back to the parking lot! It was quite an adventure, but honestly, it made the day even more memorable. Disneyland continues to offer that wonderful combination of nostalgia, adventure, delicious treats, and lasting memories. I didn't even purchase a souvenir because the experiences themselves were more than enough. A fantastic day spent with family, filled with laughter, great food, and a little unexpected California weather! Would I return? Absolutely!

Booking: We originally booked a two-day, one-night stay in the spring but had to cancel due to an emergency. Thankfully, we were able to keep our payment as a credit to use within a year. When we decided to rebook, I had to call to use the credit. The phone wait was extremely long, so my advice is to call as soon as they open. Also, check their website for discounts before calling because the reservation representatives won't necessarily look for those deals for you. Arrival and Parking: Parking was easy in the large garage. You pay for parking based on the number of nights you're staying, and then you're free to come and go. We arrived around 10 a.m. and completed pre-check-in. They let us know we'd receive a text when our room was ready. There wasn't anywhere to store our luggage, so we left everything in the car. Thankfully, luggage carts were available near the garage elevators. Our Room: We reserved the Wolf Den suite, which has a queen bed and a separate bunk-bed area for the kids. We loved that the girls had their own little space! The queen bed felt small since we're used to a king at home, but the bigger issue was how loudly it creaked on my husband's side. Every time he moved during the night, it woke me up. The room was also surprisingly dark. There were a few lamps and lights near the beds and sink, but they didn't provide much overall lighting. We were close to the elevators, which was convenient because we didn't have to walk down those long hallways. However, we could hear people talking and making noise in the hallway. Thankfully, we brought our sound machine, which helped us sleep. We also discovered that our TV remote was missing a battery. We tried calling the front desk several times without an answer, so my husband had to walk downstairs. Once he spoke to someone, they came up to help within minutes. Water Park and Activities: The water park was a lot of fun! I highly recommend visiting when schools aren't on break because the crowds and wait times are much more manageable. Most of the water attractions are fairly tame, although there's a four-person raft slide that's pretty intense. Only two of the four of us enjoyed that one! There were renovations happening during our visit, but we also noticed some new activities, including mini golf and a ropes course. My husband and the girls spent about an hour on the ropes course and absolutely loved it. We also decided to check out the bowling alley, and a kind stranger surprised us by giving us free tokens. Bless her heart! We were able to play a round before heading to the water park. The bowling balls are smaller and easy for kids to handle, and the lanes have bumpers, which makes it a great family activity. We had a lot of fun! Of course, we also stopped by the arcade, which is always a hit with our family. Towels are provided at the water park, but you need to return them before leaving. There's also a shop selling swimsuits, water shoes, goggles, and other essentials. We forgot our girls' goggles and bought the least expensive ones there, but unfortunately, they broke almost immediately. Food: We ate at several restaurants during our stay. Hungry as a Wolf continues to be a favorite! We ordered pizza and wings through the Great Wolf Lodge app while enjoying the water park. The food was ready quickly, and we received a text when it was ready for pickup. We were able to bring it into the water park, which was very convenient. For dinner, we tried the Timbers Table & Kitchen buffet because the girls really wanted to eat there. The food was okay, but I didn't feel it was worth the price. The main benefit was not having to leave the resort. On Saturday, we had lunch at Buckets Burgers & Bites on the upper level of the water park. We ordered using the nearby touchscreen, and the food came out quickly. We had a burger, kids' chicken nugget meals, and chicken tenders with fries. Everything tasted good! Seating was somewhat limited, but we managed to find spots near the bar. Before leaving, we stopped at Wood's End Creamery for ice cream. My daughter and I had vanilla soft serve, and our other daughter chose birthday cake. My vanilla wasn't particularly good, but it was a nice final treat before heading home. Overall: Great Wolf Lodge is a fun place for a family getaway, especially if your kids enjoy water activities. We loved spending time together, and the girls had a wonderful time. There are definitely areas that could use improvement, particularly the room comfort, lighting, reaching the front desk, and the value of some dining options. But despite those frustrations, we made some great memories and enjoyed our stay!

This year I reserved a party room, and Montze was our Host, she was excellent. By far the absolute best service I've ever gotten. Attentive, patient, accommodating & caring, she was great! The kids really loved being able to use the TV the way that they wanted to in order to entertain all 10 kids Wish I would've left a bigger tip Thx again Montze!!

The kids never came up and told me they were bored, we had a range of kids from 6-11 girls and boys. Our party host, Viviana was amazing! Super helpful and totally even did my decorations in the room. She was on top of all of it. The timing and attention to detail are a major plus. I felt like I barely needed to do anything. She even secured us a large table after our party window had ended for in the room. The kids absolutely loved the zipline, the laser tag and all the obstacles. It was nice to see that there was an attendant at each activity and they were on it. It was refreshing to have employees actually paying attention and keeping everyone safe. would definitely go again! PS Parking can be difficult, oh and they serve alcohol! Yay for parents!

When we arrived we got something to eat before doing some of the activities. We ordered a kids chicken tenders and a kids hotdog meal. The food was good better than I expected. After that, we headed over to the bumper boats and the gentlemen working was so nice and helpful. I believe his name was Deon! That was a really fun experience and definitely nice on a hot day. After that, we did some go karts, I think you get a pretty decent amount of time to drive them. Then we went to the arcade played some games before heading on out. Overall, it was a nice time! They also have alcohol for the adults, which is pretty cool.

That happened to my 12-year-old daughter on the Flamethrower at Boomers. She had just finished riding and asked to go again. The attendant said yes, then started the ride without checking her seat belt. She immediately began screaming that she wasn't buckled in. The operator showed no sense of urgency. I started yelling, "Please stop the ride! She's not buckled in!" During the roughly two-minute ordeal, the only explanation I heard from him was, "I tried. I don't know what to do." I called across to other employees: "Do you know how to stop this ride? He doesn't know how!" Another employee said he did--and casually walked over. Walked. While my daughter was screaming that she wasn't secured. Where was the urgency? The ride continued through its entire cycle while she screamed. Once it stopped, I got her off and spoke with a manager, but I left without confidence that the seriousness of what happened had been addressed. How can parents trust a ride when the employees operating it appear unable to stop it in an emergency? This was one of the most frightening experiences I've had as a parent. Based on what we experienced, I would not bring my daughter back.

Who doesn't love corny jokes? Well, the Jungle Cruise is your place…read more Let's start, shall we? Looks like we are going on for Nile after Nile and after Nile, and if you don't think so, you're in denial. On your right, you'll see our limestone formations. Most people take it for granite.........That joke rocks! Now you don't see that every day, but I do....Every seven minutes. No need to worry, ladies; these are MAN-eating piranhas! This is the Britney Tribe. I sure hope they don't hit me one more time with their Britney Spears. Now we will take an unnecessary right, followed by an unnecessary left; also on the left, you'll see where Walt ran out of money. Don't worry, I'll scare him off (The Hippos). I LOVE YOU! Yup, works on all the men in my life. Here we see the natives celebrating the solstice; let me see if I can translate.... You put your left foot in. You put your left foot out. You put your left foot in. IDK folks, sounds like a lot of hokey pokey to me. Hey! On your right is Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Four-Hour-Line The cool jungle mist is home to more than 10,000 forms of bacteria .......the backside of water is home to more than 10K forms of bacteria Oh look, everyone! That family of lions is protecting that exhausted zebra! Can you feel the love tonight? I sure can. He's dead.........Tired! Dead Tired! And here we have an unfortunate scene which demonstrates the first rule of survival in the jungle: Don't be the zebra. MY FAVOURITE ONE BEFORE I LEAVE YOU! These hippos are only dangerous when they are wiggling their ears and blowing bubbles, but Bubbles isn't here tonight, so I think we are safe! NOW FOR THE END OF THESE JUNGLE JOKES.
