Initial charge to pull it in and analyze the problem was $150. About two hours under the hood later only cost an addition $100, substantially less than what I feared it could run. I even had them fix not accident related damage to the car out of my pocket and very reasonable prices. Anyway, nothing but good experience. Marc Britton was strength and to the point, gave me my options, dealt with what I wanted rapidly,timely and I just felt a sense of honesty. Not much fluff, just felt good that they were being straight with me. Not the usual feel you can feel at an auto repair place, where they are trying to rip you off, or (worse to me) only fix what I know about and don't inform me of other issues. So I'm sitting in this waiting room surrounded by Seniors (over 50 club). A good sign that this place is every bit what the reviews say it is. I spoke up and asked "Ok guys I'm new here can I trust taking my car here"? I've learned that when older people have good things to say about something, they are anxious to talk about it. They all said for the most part they wouldn't take there car anywhere else. Now that's the kind of response you wanna hear from a mechanic shop. I have to say they are right. They advertise reasonable service prices in the paper. They have an open waiting area that's not surrounded by walls. I can practically see my vehicle getting worked on while I wait. Nice people, the thing is I sent a couple emails explaining the issue with the car and even talked to someone the day I had it towed over. They obviously didn't read the emails or listen to ne cause for two days they did diagnostics to find why the check engine light was on. I already knew why the light was on and the codes. I specifically said the check the noise coming from the engine that it sounds like rod knock. I'm leaving this feedback because of my small experience I was trying to purchase a vehicle here, but unfortunately the communication from the car salesman just wasn't there. I was told to wait for a call back to hear from the bank for an answer on financing, but was never called back. I had to call myself daily for 2 days. By the third day I never got a call or a call back once I left a message. All I asked for was transparency and communication and I got neither. This is not the way you conduct business. Update to reply; Terry never reached out to me. I had to call every single time to get an answer, and last time we spoke I was told he was waiting for another bank to make a decision. He NEVER got back to me and I left him a message in which he did not respond. So please do not say he reached out to me when he never did. read more

I see that are some 'iffy' reviews here, but for me it's so far, so good. Best shop I've ever been to. Mark and his crew are honest, reliable, knowledgeable and very competively priced. Ran my car over a median, causing 2 blowouts. A lotta places would have found 'serious front end damage' costing thousands of dollars to fix. But Automotive Dynamics carefully inspected the vehicle and explained each repair or replacement needed. Marc was very nice and professional but needing AC fixed and not getting anything in return for the $130 dollars kind of sucks ! The quotes on what car needed were what they were ? Can't argue that but if AC refrigerant was very low should have added some to see if compressor clutch would work ? It's possible being low the sensor will not engage clutch ? Same as if it's overfilled or low on pag oil? Maybe? Should have put refrigerant in and seen if this helped ? For 130 bucks could have tried ? Anyway he had his price for compressor and compressor condenser replacement and that's fine ? AC worked prior to last week ? Ac clutch kicks in every now and then ? Should have tried refrigerant? Business seems alright . I might want a little more of a try before spending a boat load of money ? read more

What a ripoff business, they charged for transmission fluid changed/washed, 7k miles later I had it checked and it was black. The transmission fluid was never changed!!!! Nothing is wrong w/my transmission if you wonder if I don't know they totally overcharged me. Recently, my 86-yr old mom was going to buy a new car, then decided to just have the body fixed on her 2004 Saturn Vue, and have it painted a different color (from silver to metallic teal) to make it LOOK new. She felt safe choosing Automotive Dynamics (now a trusted facility in the Fix Auto network) because they have been in business for 34 yrs in the same location, are A+ rated with the BBB and are AAA Approved... she was so happy she almost cried when she picked up the car... they did a FANTASTIC job! The standard of workmanship is factory-quality and nothing short of amazing! They detailed it thoroughly and even replaced the worn out windshield wiper blades... This is my first ever Yelp review so its unfortunate that it has to be to warn people instead of praising a business for a job well done. My mother brought her car in for service and called me to ask if what she was being told sounded legitimate. This is unusual for her because even though she's a senior, she has her wits about her and is still sharp as a tack. I don't claim to be an auto mechanic by any stretch but she was right to call me because she was facing a $900 estimate on a fairly new, low mileage vehicle. I recommended she bring the car back to the dealer and have their mechanics take a look. She asked them to have the service writer call me directly with what they found. Lo and behold the dealership had a very different story. When I explained she was told she needed $900 worth of repairs he asked me to read him what for so he could make sure his guy hadn't missed anything. He called back 30 minutes later and said he was 100% confident the work Automotive Dynamics said was needed was definitely not. I'm sure they'll write the same canned ham response they seem to write for every negative review they have here about how important customer service is for them and/or they can't find any customer by your name (funny because everyone's name is simply a first name and last letter from what I see) but alas, I'm not looking for anything other than letting people know they might want to seek a second opinion when this business tells you that you need repairs. In my mom's case it saved her $900 (minus the service fee and having to pay another business their service fee for the truth). Very sad that this sort of thing still happens! read more

I've been going to Automotive for a good eight years. I found them after experiencing sticker shock at my dealer for simple oil changes and filters. When a friend of mine was given an $1,100 quote by her dealer for some work on her Toyota Sienna, I suggested she get another quote from Automotive Dynamics. They did the work for her for $800. Their shop is clean and well lit and their lobby is a comfortable, pleasant place. Their workers are loyal long term employees and the business is an honest friendly local establishment. I carry AAA and as an AAA shop, I enjoy a discount. For anything longer than an oil change, they provide free transportation back to my home, and pick me up when the work is done. I recently had a problem with my dashboard media center lights. Together we worked it out that my recently purchased (online) Dashmat didn't come with a hole punched in it for the daylight automatic light sensor--which I couldn't see from inside the car. Eureka! I just punched a hole where it was needed and all is well. They take the time, have the equipment and experience, and charge fair prices as well. read more
