My husband and I had been having a few minor problems with our old 2002 Honda Accord for a while…read morebut, when we went to trade it in, the dealer would only give us $1,000 because the "check engine light" was on. Seriously? Well, we thought it might be the transmission because we had been experiencing some "slipping", so we tried to find one of those big-name places to take a look for us. The Aamco that showed up here on Yelp was not where the address said it was (of course) so we looked again and found Mistech in a Google search. I called to make sure they were actually there and told the gentleman on the phone what had happened. I asked if he had time to take a look and do a diagnostic. He said sure, bring it around 1:00. We showed up and the worker (Jay, I think) came over and plugged his computer into the car. A code came up that said it was the O2 sensor. Now, I had brought this car to "my guy" about three times in regards to the problem with the slipping and the light and he kept telling me it was damp wires. -__- Not only did Jay tell us what it was, he showed us the codes and then proceeded to tell us we could probably fix it ourselves. When I asked how much for the diagnostic, he said, "Nothing." We went to an Advanced Auto Parts store and got the part for $75. My husband replaced it in about five minutes and the light went off and the car suddenly runs like it did when I first got it. Mistech was honest, friendly, and helpful (said we could call later and come back if need be) all for nothing for people who didn't even live in the area! If we EVER have a real problem with our transmission, we will CERTAINLY go back!!!

She had the car towed to Mistech transmission shop thinking it was a transmission problem. They checked out the car and found out that it was only a fuse. Honest and Professional. DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!! We took our ambulance service vehicle there for diagnosis. They stated that…read morethe transmission needed to be rebuilt and the cost would be well over $4000. We agreed to the price and had the transmission rebuilt. First off it took longer than expected which ok we understood. We then got a text that it was running "weird" and started to misfire. The tech stated he parked the vehicle and checked the oil and it was low. Being as we take care of people and not vehicles we asked his opinion. He stated that he could change the oil and see what happened. Another week or so passed and he called to say the vehicle was done and wanted us to pick it up. When we arrived to pick it up he stated that he "got on it hard" to verify the new transmission was working properly. All mechanics I have talked to have said it is recommended to take it easy until the transmission has broken in. On the drive (6 miles) back to the station the check engine light started flashing and the vehicle hardly moved. We contacted him immediately and he came to "scan" the vehicle. He stated that he would come and change a coil as it was showing a Misfire cylinder 4 code. He never returned. We contacted him again and were told that we are the type of people that have windshield wipers changed and blame someone for blowing a motor. He confirmed there was no issue with the vehicle when we dropped it off other than the transmission but denied that he was responsible for any other issues. We have since had the vehicle diagnosed and the motor was blown while at his shop. The oil was low bc it was all in cylinder 4 once the motor was blown. Now we paid $6600 for a new motor and have to file in court bc he denies responsibility and won't provide his insurance information for a claim. DO NOT UTILIZE THEIR SERVICES. I would give 0 stars if I could. BEWARE!!
