After this autozone replaced my dead battery, the car coolant reservoir cap was open and coolant had splashed all over the engine area after a 15 minute drive home from their shop(see pics). Given the coolant reservoir is adjacent to the battery (2006 Honda Civic Sedan LX) and typically it is removed during battery installation, who do you think is to blame for this? At the time I didn't know anything about cars, so I didn't want to take a chance driving it in that state that it was in (coolant reservoir open and low or empty) and all the mobile mechanics I contacted flaked--it was during the peak pandemic times. So the car sat about a month, since I didn't want to take any chances driving the car and causing damage with the coolant levels and reservoir compromised. So the battery died again. Took the car back to the same autozone, and say that the mounting parts for the battery are missing...hmmm I wonder who is to blame for that as well? I ended up having to buy coolant myself for around $10-$15 and then also pay a mechanic $60 to fix the battery mounting/holding mechanism for the battery because parts from that were missing too. Pics are taken after car was driven back home from autozone, some 15 miles. Summary--After taking car for battery replacement: -Coolant Reservoir Cap open -Coolant splashed all over under hood (Bought $15 coolant to replace) -Missing parts for mounting and securing parting in place ( cost me $60 at mechanic to fix) read more

My wife's car needed a new battery. A man named Patrick helped her choose the right one for the car. Patrick went above and beyond to install the new battery in her car, as the old one took some doing to get it out. He also noted a connector was not closing tightly on the battery terminal. He made an adjustment on it to fix the problem. Great service. read more

The Auto Zone regional manager Mike Lincotta was rude, judgmental, and unprofessional to me, after I had to speak to their corporate offices fix their mess, and I recommend joining my boycott of ALL Auto Zone stores in California, in the world, & helping to spreading the word. The store sold me the wrong part, and refused to make good on it, saying they don't even have the right one to sell me (very standard car), and they wouldn't give me my money back without the receipt. That is, until I called their corp hq, & then this guy calls Auto Zone and asks to speak to me to try to argue a point that was already decided above his head. Still, he tells me how right he thinks he is, & gives me very unprofessional attitude, despite them being able to easily see in their system that I'm a regular customer, & had bought it at that location quite recently. WAS a regular customer, no longer. There are plenty of other auto parts stores nearby, and which that are now receiving my regular business. It took 20+ mins of arguing, to get them to do what should have taken 2-3 mins, and should have been done politely. Go away Auto Zone, out of town & out of business, forever!!! Your idea of customer service and regional manager are far far below the standards of what I see from business which serve the public. read more

this review is not about autozone as a company; in the past they have always done me right. sure, some of the parts i get from them are shitty but that's because i buy the shitty parts. this review is about one person that works at the yucca store. his name is robert-i won't mention his last name out of decency. he, hands down, is the cruelest person i have EVER met in my entire life. let me tell you what happened. so my car wouldn't charge-kept getting jump started everywhere. new battery, new alternator, new voltage regulator...makes no sense. any way, after getting jumped twice on the way there, my car dies in the center median, right in front of autozone ( i was going to have them test the charging system). instead of waiting for another person to help, i ran inside autozone . i said it's an emergency, my cars in the middle of the street, can i please borrow your portable battery charger? he said no cause i'm not on the premises. i say can you please use your autozone truck to come over and jump me? he said no, didn't give a reason. i said can i please borrow a battery? i just bout a new one from them a week ago-wasn't trying to steal a battery. but guess what robert says-he says no. then i asked if he could help or have somebody help me push it out of the street. he said they don't do cars that aren't on the premises .so i said can you please just take your name tag off and help me as fellow human being ? he said no. might as well have said f--k you. robert i hope you live the rest of your life and nobody ever treats you with as little kindness as you showed me today. Today I had a wonderful experience with the manager Dennis. My car battery which I purchased a year ago this month, died without reason. I called the store & explained to the manager what happened, and that I didn't have my receipt. He was unable to find my purchase in their computer system, but he advised me to bring the battery down anyway. Not only did he exchange my battery for a brand new one, he did it without argument or question. He was awesome! I can't tell you how many times a manager has argued with me over items of petty value or argued about a warranty!! The only great thing that happened when the battery was taken from my truck was walking into AutoZone. First there was Patrick who helped get the best battery for my money and also installed it for me. Then RJ came to my rescue when we realized there was a bigger issue at stack. Even though they are not a mechanic shop, they were very hands on and informative on what my next step should be.
