I had been getting a two-week run around from AAA to replace a battery. I needed to take my friend to the Airport (and get food) and my ETA through AAA had changed too many times to count. Having lost complete faith I called Ace Alternators and Jeremiah answered. Though my battery was "rare" according to AAA, they had it in stock. I asked if they made house calls and i was instructed they didn't but I said I had been waiting for two weeks and Jeremiah made time to come out and install the battery. I was in a tough spot and I really got to say this type of level of integrity and service is very hard to come by these days. The price for service was very reasonable. Thank you Jeremiah and Ace Alternators for going the extra mile. Not related to Ace: I would say that AAA battery service is not very helpful in rural places based off of my experience. I had it in my head since i've never actually used my AAA and had it for a long time that it would be a great experience working with them. Their policy end of the day is that battery service is something they offer pending availability (regionally) and if the third party contractor that they assign to help you has a completely broken supply chain, you are kind of at the mercy of whenever they get around to helping you. I talked to about 10 AAA people and besides asking if I was in a safe place at the top of the call, they practiced zero compassion and even misleading me that they could help me when they would not. At the end of the day when I spoke to a manager they were really cold and unapologetic about their responsibility (or lack) to help me. I feel like battery service is one of the baseline reasons why a lot of people get AAA. I felt like their main preference was towing me to a place where someone else can deal with it because it was too inconvenient for them. Back to Ace: Ace was the opposite experience. It took one phone call, not 20. Reality matched up with what I was told (and then some). I feel like contractors often make their bread and butter through churn and burn and charge crazy prices. Ace is the type of business you keep coming back to because you know they don't play those games and they just let their work speak for itself. Super refreshing to see! Love this shop! They have been in business for a very long time there is a really good reason for this. Everyone that works there gets along great it's a wonderful experience. My first experience was getting an alternator rewired for a specific application. They were right on it and pricing was perfect, considering I didn't want to throw out my high output alternator. Second visit was to replace the battery cables and leads for my Jeep as they are no longer available from the dealer. The tech working on my car also pointed out an issue related to my obd2 port that I was unaware of. When needed we will for sure be back. This place is the best there is! If you are anywhere within 150 miles of ace alternator, make the trip to them. They're HONEST which is something you rarely find in mechanics, they're quick and very well priced, they're customer service is excellent. Ace alternator is hands down THE BEST shop around. DO NOT GO TO A MECHANIC IN 29 palms. Every shop in 29 was going to charge me $300-$600 for something that ace did for FREE. I was installing an after market back up camera on my vehicle and I spliced into the reverse light incorrectly causing it to apparently blow a fuse (ace figured that out), causing my car not to start. I called everywhere in 29, baileys wanted $88.99 JUST to do a diagnostics test (aka plug they're computer into the car and narrow the problem, something ace did in less than a min), another shop wanted $110 and E-Z auto wanted $30. That's JUST for them to test it! Anyways, point being ace alternator is the best shop I've ever been to and I highly recommend it for ANYONE read more

Replaced my battery terminals - acid corroded, but still wasn't the problem. Really knowledgeable, helpful, and willing to go the extra mile for customer satisfaction. If you think you have an electrical issue with your car, truck, rv, etc., drive in and they'll look it over for free. The difference with Ace though, if they can't find a problem or it's something simple, they'll explain it and send you on your way without inventing some bogus thing to rip you off. They fixed the faulty lock mechanism on my truck and made it functional again. I was locked out of my driver side and they fixed it without me having to buy a $500 new lock and handle mechanism. Only charged me $40 bucks after working on the problem steady for close to an hour. A knowledgeable shop more interested in fixing a problem than taking your money. I call that a keeper ! read more

After two days of trying to fix my charging problem on my own, replacing the voltage regulator 4 times and the alternator, I came in and talked to Greg (?) Told him my saga and had my charging problem diagnosed (a bad alternator). He rebuilt it quickly all with a smile and easy light conversation.
