Apparently they close early often. The auto cashier said they close early due to understaffing but I'm confused why they let their mechanics leave early then? Moving on, I called at 5 to say I'd be there at 6. She told me I had to come NOW if I wanted an oil change. I left my shift early and headed straight there and arrived ten minutes later. Upon arrival, I almost pulled into the garage but KEVIN was FLAILING his arms at me in a jumping jack form like it was absurd of me to pull in which is literally what you do at every car shop.. maybe Kevin should put up some signs to not pull in before he hurts himself. Cashier was nice and told me it would take less than an hour and I ended up being there for almost two hours!!!!! Therefore I was MEGA LATE for Dinner reservations due to the young mechanic struggling on every step because they let the experienced mechanic leave early. After, they pulled my car back to the front of the garage which was annoying to reverse next to all the cones when I could've just pulled out of the DAMN garage. One star.

Nowadays, with cars requiring dealership service for almost everything, I decided to purchase an…read moreextended warranty through Chrysler. The warranty allows me to take my vehicle to any Chrysler dealership I choose. I've used several dealerships for warranty work, and this time I chose Tyson Chrysler in Joliet simply because it was close and convenient. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely frustrating. My vehicle had rattling noises coming from both the front and rear, and I had no A/C. I called in August and was given an appointment for September 17. I was just notified after about a week that they finally received the warranty approval, and now I'm being told I could be waiting another five to seven days for the front sway bar links and A/C compressor. But what really concerns me is what I was told about the rear of the vehicle. I was told they don't know what is wrong with the rear because the front is making too much noise for them to determine what is happening in the back. Their solution is to repair the front first and then diagnose the rear. So I'm potentially looking at close to two weeks for the front sway bar links and A/C compressor to be repaired, and only after that will they even be able to determine what is wrong with the rear. That explanation is extremely difficult to understand. It leaves me feeling like I'm being pushed toward another warranty claim instead of having the vehicle properly diagnosed in the first place. For comparison, I previously took the same vehicle to Greenway Chrysler in Morris for warranty work on a radiator. I was in and out in approximately three days. One day they diagnosed the problem and submitted the paperwork, the next day the warranty paperwork was approved, and the following day I picked up my vehicle. The process was straightforward, efficient, and clearly communicated. My experience with Tyson has been the complete opposite. It took almost a week just to get the paperwork submitted and approved, and now I'm being told I have to wait another five to seven days for the parts and repairs before they can even diagnose the rear of my vehicle. If this is the level of service their service writers and technicians are providing, I have serious concerns. Telling a customer they have to replace one part in the front of their minivan before they can continue diagnosing another separate problem in the back of the minivan is not the type of service I expect from a Chrysler dealership. Based on this experience, I strongly do not recommend Tyson Chrysler for service. I would also think twice about purchasing a vehicle from this dealership if this is the level of service and communication customers can expect after the sale. When purchasing a brand-new Chrysler and knowing you may have to rely on the dealership for warranty work, choosing the dealership you trust matters. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking at dealerships such as Greenway Chrysler in Morris or Bettenhausen rather than Tyson. Customers deserve better communication, better diagnostics, and a warranty process that doesn't leave them waiting weeks just to find out what is wrong with their vehicle.

I am reviewing the part of this business that sells and ships hybrid batteries for cars. I…read moreshopped around. This business, Best Hybrid Batteries, had an excellent website that allowed me to input my VIN number so I was sure to get the correct battery (although the battery had a vent hose, despite there not being a vent hose on my car's year). They shipped faster than the other companies I looked at, they did NOT charge a core charge, but instead required the return of the core for the activation of the warranty, AND they included a prepaid shipping label for the return of the core. This, for $1700 and taxes, with no tacked-on fees at checkout. Very transparent. I did NOT find a installation guide included, and the installation vs. reality was pretty different - I went with two online videos and a daughter-in-law who loves puzzles, assisted by a grandson. It took us four hours start to finish (probably would have been shorter if I'd stayed out of it and left the installation to the daughter-in-law and grandson). The battery has been working just fine, and there was no 'programming' (as the dealership said there would be) required. Plug and play., We shipped the battery back and today I got an email from Best Hybrid Batteries saying that my warranty is activated. Given that the warranty beats the heck out of the dealer's warranty on the battery they tried to sell me for $3300, I'm very pleased. Should I have to replace a hybrid battery again, I will look here first while I comparison shop.

Very quick shipping and great price. The "step by step" installation guide online was missing a lot…read moreof steps; but I found another YouTube video without problems to help walk through the installation
