Although Jeff and I agreed on a set time, I was able to drop the car off a little earlier due to a last minute errand. I came to tint my 2023 Model Y, and Jeff made sure what I chose was the best fit for what I was looking for. I wanted my tints to match in color especially when the back windows are already darkened, and Jeff was able to confirm that with a tool. I ended up going with 20% fronts and 50% rears, and the color match is pretty close to what I was looking for. My car was ready in 3 hours, and the entire process was quick and smooth. There are things to do a short drive as well if you're not from the area. He even puts tape to remind you to not open windows for at least 2-3 days! I made sure to wait a week before reviewing, and the tints turned out really good after the "cooldown" period. I have no complaints, but just wished they would tint the front windshield haha. Brandon, as always, was super responsive and communicative. He responded in detail to all my questions, was super honest in telling me that PPF in one area really wouldn't make much of a difference (saving me several hundred dollars), and did a full walk-around with me when I picked up my car after all the work was done. They also gave me a loaner for the week they had my car, which I greatly appreciated. Super happy with the work, and I'll be back for maintenance washes and detailing over the years. I used to drive a 2012 Mercedes Benz C250, which had more than 169,000 miles on it at the time. After I got a check engine light, Artec Automotive determined that the issue would cost at least $2,500 to repair. Instead of encouraging me to do the repair, I was advised to avoid the repair, given the car was getting up there in miles and may have required much more repairs shortly after. I ended up selling the car shortly after. I have never had a company advise me NOT to do a repair that would have generated plenty of revenue for the company just for the labor fee alone. This act of honesty was so incredible because I am used to mechanics ripping people off. Artec is the best Automotive company I have ever worked with, for their honesty & transparency, for their overall value, and for their knowledge of vehicles which they freely give to customers like me. If in doubt where to go for your car needs, look no further than Artec. Took my 2020 Porsche 911 here to get the sound system upgraded. Felipe suggested changing the…read morespeakers and adding an amp, both from JL Audio. Total cost was about $6k and I went ahead and did it. After I got the car back, I was disappointed as the sound quality was about the same as before or perhaps marginally better. Additionally, there was rattling in the door panels and I would also hear an occasional popping noise. I mentioned both of these to Felipe. Additional sound deadening was added for the rattling, but the popping noise couldn't be resolved. Even after the additional sound deadening was added, there would still be rattling in the door panels. A couple months later, I moved down to LA and decided to bring the car into another shop down in LA. The shop informed me that the speakers used are JL Audio C2 speakers which are OEM replacement speakers. They told me they are not sure why anyone would replace the stock speakers with those as they are not much of an upgrade. Additionally, the new shop said what my system needed was a Nav TV device to convert the audio to digital output as well as add a DSP (digital sound processor). They said it is clear that the previous installer (i.e. Felipe) does not know much about car audio given the recommendations that were made. To make matters worse, when the new shop started working on my car they informed me that a number of things were broken such as the clips that hold down the center piece of the backseat and other clips throughout the car. The feedback was that the overall work was shoddy. I trusted Felipe with my car and the net result was a sound system that wasn't an upgrade. I spent $6k spent for nothing, wasted my time, and the worst part is I now have damaged components throughout my car. I have since spent an additional $8k on top of what I paid Felipe to redo the sound system entirely. Felipe is a nice guy and it was nice to work with him. He did help me install a dash cam on my other car and from what I can see that installation was fine. However, for car audio systems, I would not recommend Felipe.
