After conferring with his boss, we were able to settle upon a price that was agreeable to us both. It wasn't a huge mess of back and forth haggling. And, in the end, I paid $3000 under the Kelley Blue Book suggested retail price and $2000 less than the lowest reported fair market value. Bonus? Image Auto Sales takes pride in selling mechanically sound, reliable vehicles and so they offer a free 90 day warranty (which, after having been car shopping all over town, I can tell you is an anomaly. I'm not sure if it's offered on all their vehicles, but they offered it on mine and I saw several neighboring cars with the same "90 day warranty" stickers. Butch's answer changed everything.
