If you need someone who is honest and knows how to work a deal from all angles, he is your man. If you need a dealer with patience and moxy, he is your man. If you don't know what you want, or if you are not sharp with making business decisions, then stay away. Alex is sophisticated. He can boil down a message from you in an instant. He will make the deal easier for you by doing all paperwork, repairs & delivery details. You just need to push back and be firm and it/the deal will work out. His prices as advertised are excellent. Don't let higher mileage vehicles fool you into thinking Alex's vehicles/ASE vehicles are too old for prices. The man knows how to choose and evaluate; it is a gift. He is like a Dr. of Auto Evaluations. If pushed he will make all corrections/repairs to make vehicle right for you. Unless you are major league mechanic, have your selected vehicle, from ASE lot, evaluated by paying for a Pre-sale Inspection/exam, by a local New Car Dealer for your vehicle's make and model. It costs ballpark $200 and is worth every penny b/c you will learn a pro mechanics view for that exact vehicle; including eval of all car components and basic systems in an easy to read report with walk around video and mechanics general impressions of vehicle. If you ask Alex to do this, he will make arrangements. But you need to sign Purchase/Sale agreement first to show that you have serious intent. Alex will not sell you a vehicle that you don't want. I was in desperate need of a car back in December. I made a quick offer on a 2010 vw jetta they excepted my offer and handled everything. Fast forward to now my car needed a couple of minor repairs I had brought it to my families mechanic and he was no help I called and spoke to ALEX HE SAID TO BRING MY CAR IN AND HE WOULD HEPL ME . Buyer beware: Purchased a car from Auto Sales Express in Whitman. The process itself was frustrating but I needed a car ASAP- poor communication, he was going to sell it with tires missing chunks until I said something. He said he would replace the tires prior to pickup. Scheduling pickup was frustrating, again, lack of communication. I have never met a dealer who I had to reach out to about where we were at with paperwork and pickup, rather most communicated great. Again, I needed a car and the one he had fit the bill, Pickup was scheduled at a set time and then he made me wait over an hour past that for him to simply put the plates on. Plates on, hands me the keys, he didn't have time to have the car inspected and I would have to come back at certain day and time to have done through him. I told him that's really an inconvenience and I would get it done myself. Noticed later that he still charged me for the inspection. Took multiple text messages and two calls from my boyfriend to have the cost refunded via check. He also wanted me to pick up the money, again an inconvenience as the place is not close. Finally agreed to it mailed and we had to call him to remind to send it. I had the car checked out, no issues but as time went on we noted wobbling. This is now three months after purchase and I have moved out of state. I had the car looked at and was told he never had the tires balanced. Awesome. It gets better. I paid out of pocket for the tires to be balanced and they found one of the rims is bent- it is obvious the dealer had his mechanics try to literally bang out the bend. My mechanic said since I have not had any accidents with the car and there are obviously dents from banging to try to right the bend, it is clear that the car was sold like this to me and the dealer was aware of it. We called the dealer yesterday; first he denied the issue and accused me of doing it to the rim myself. My boyfriend explained what the mechanic saw and then the dealer said we would have to drop off the car for a week for his men to replace the rim. That is not possible, especially being without a car that long, so we asked for him to simply reimburse us for the cost of replacing the rim. He has said he will not without seeing the car and is only available weekdays when we work. I wish I had just looked elsewhere but with suddenly losing my other car, I needed a new one ASAP. Horrible car buying experience, if you are a female/mother with no real male help on buying a car, I don't recommend this place at all. Alex bought a 2012 Black Chevy Traverse from an auction back in March 2024. I bought the car from him June 2024. In my opinion plenty of time to have the car ready for sale. I called and stated I am driving 3 hours one way, to view the vehicle. When I arrived he did not bother to test drive with me, talk to me about the car, and what it could possibly be missing before he sold it to me, gave me keys and allowed me to test drive it alone. The car was missing things and needed repairs, that he was not even aware of. Ex: a navigation disc for the navigation to work, the driver seat warmer not staying on for more than a minute and the car shakes a lot at 45mph on the highway. He said he wouldn't work on anything in the car unless I purchased it first. Gave him $600 to hold the vehicle, and it took a few days to drive back and give him the other $9000. We scheduled for me to drive the car back to him for the repairs to be done for the following week. He had my car for 3 weeks. A list of repairs was discussed. Simple things that I noticed the week I had it, like no lubrication on my brake pads (they put new brake pads in the front), slow leak tire, aux not working (no Bluetooth for music), check engine light coming on along with traction control lights, the driver seat warmer we had to argue about because he said he was not going to fix it at first. During the time of repairs he admitted he used my vehicle for personal use, driving it back and forth from the dealership to his home and added almost 100 miles when it should have been parked at his dealership for repairs, he claimed they were test driving miles..for the shaking (yet shaking still exist when I finally get the car back) While car was in his possession, he hit something and side swiped my front passenger fender and added light noticeable scratches, because the car already had minor damage he thought I wouldn't notice stating the damage was already there when I bought it. We went back and forth and exchanged photos that prove the new damage was done while my car was in his dealership for repairs. He still doesn't want to fix the passenger fender telling me all I have to do is buff it out or go through my insurance to fix it, when that falls on him so why would I have my insurance raised, or pay a deductible for cosmetic damage that falls on him. He does not want to take ownership. He said he would provide receipts of all repairs, he did not and does not; he provides you with a hand written receipt he writes up himself for you, so how am I suppose to know if he did all repairs he said? Bought tires from town fair tire, but does not want to give me receipt or info for me to go back to the tire shop and add the warranty to my tires. While having the car and repairing things, now I get the car back with other things not working like my wiper fluid not wanting to come out, defrost not working in any heat setting besides maximum of 90°F. Things that are a safety issue and were working when it passed inspection...he doesn't want to fix anything now. Keeps trying to intimidate me out of trying to use my 30 day warranty for trying to hold him accountable for the damaged fender, and the other issues that now exist. He wants me to sell him the car back, instead of doing the repairs. He has said things like, "leave me alone", "I don't want to deal with you" and "why don't you just bring me the car and get your money back and buy a car in your town", "you can bring it for repairs but I am not towing it back to you for calling me a liar about the fender", "stop harassing me" As a response to me trying to communicate the new issues and asking for them to be fixed and not letting him convince me that the damage on the fender or these new issues of not being able to use defrost or wiper fluid existed when I purchased the car.. Last week during a thunderstorm with my 3 kids, couldn't even use the defrost or wiper fluid.Don't recommend at all read more

My daughter purchased her second car from this place. The first car I did all the negotiations for her. The car had a couple issues (what used car doesn't) they took a couple day to fix it but it was fixed to our satisfaction. After her car was totaled while parked on the street she was in need of another car. This time was very different. She wanted to do everything on her own. She purchased a 2008 Jetta. The car has had problems from the moment she drove off the lot. I wish yelp allowed you to post videos. If I showed the video of how the car sounds when you start it up (it turns heads) there would be no reason to read any further. We have reached out to them several times and they have asked us to to bring the car back and we did (3 times) and they continue to say nothing is wrong with the car. They have had the car in the shop a total of 3 weeks. When we got the car we asked for paper work of what was done and we were told "the car is good" We have contacted the State Attorney General's office and the Better Business Bureau and are in the middle of taking them to court. I bought a beautiful BMW 550i from these people. Little did I know, it was gonna be a financial nightmare. In the first 28 days, it had to go to BMW for a new High Pressure Fuel Pump, which is a $2,300 repair, Auto Sales Express had refused to fix it due to it being over mileage but I was never offered a warranty for car. As I write this now, the car is at my mechanic getting a new engine because it blew up! I've only had the car 7 months and it's costed me $13,000 in repair, almost what I bought the car for! My initial email was responded to quite promptly and I was told I could take any vehicle to an independent mechanic for inspection. This was a positive. I drove four hours based on a written description (of a vehicle that is still on the lot as of this review) stating the vehicle was 'well maintained', 'fully serviced', and 'ready to go'. I arrived and asked to drive the vehicle I traveled to see and was told to 'Be careful with the brakes.' But told I could test drive it anyway. I explained the reason I traveled was because the vehicle was 'ready to go' and it seems it was not. I was told a part was going to be ordered and the problem repaired. I expressed that their description was not accurate and was told , 'I have 100 cars here.' Seemingly excusing himself from an inaccurate description. In addition, the vehicle was shined like new on the top and inside, but a bit rusty when I looked underneath. Not calling it rot, only stating what I saw. Upon my departure, he still had 100 vehicles. I did not have confidence this was the only problem I would incur dealing with this company. I passed on the test drive. I passed on even entertaining them with my business and moved on to the next dealership. I am not bitter about the travel. The car I bought was well inspected and even though it had miles and was older it was in great shape. The cars I looked at were very clean and it appears that he buys quality cars. Again, I was very happy the way I was treated and when I bought the car they did everything else as getting plates, a new sticker, and all the paper work. The car had low miles and looked nice so I didn't insist. Big mistake on my part. I went to trade the car in recently and the dealer ran a Car fax and discovered that my car had been involved in an accident and sustained structural damage.( Too late, but now I know why there was no Car Fax) The dealer could now only offer my half of the value for a trade. The following morning at 8 a.m. my bank received the documents and it 4 p.m. the same day approved the loan I contacted the dealer and let them know I was approved for financing. The cars I looked at (based on the car fax) all were dealer maintained vehicles and were very clean and in very good condition. Eugene said that they try to buy CPO quality cars that are older and that dealers generally wouldn't want on their lots. The price listed was essentially non-negotiable but was several thousand under "book" value. I feel that I got a very good deal on a wonderful Car. When buying a used car you are taking a gamble - are you buying someone else's headache or just getting an older car that the previous owner tired of and wanted to move up from. I had a great experience with all of the staff at Auto Sales Express. I called ahead to ask if a car was available and to ask about financing. He was happy to answer all of my questions over the phone and I felt like I had his full attention. When I arrived the car was already pulled out in front and I was able to park right next to it. So easy! Not once did I feel pressured while I inspected the car. When I started to inspect the interior, I was approached by a member of staff who, rather than trying to sell me the car, asked if I had any questions and if I wanted to test drive the car. They threw me the keys and I was on my test drive in 60 seconds flat, just me, no salesperson. The car performed impeccably and was as described, saved for a few minor issues which I was assured were no issue to fix prior to sale. Please read the complaints about this dealership and take them seriously. I bought a car from Auto Sales Express last month without getting the CARFAX report before or during my purchase, even though it was advertised as available. So, after my purchase, I paid $40 for one online. There had been an odometer rollback of about 15,000 miles on the car by a previous owner. I thought it was reasonable that the dealership would receive CARFAX reports on their cars before even buying them to sell, so that they would not be falsely advertising the mileage. I sent a certified letter to Eugene, saying that I would not file a complaint with the AG's office if I heard back from him about the misrepresentation and he made the appropriate corrections. He never responded. He also told me he would fix a broken part on the car, without raising the price, then charged me $384 dealer service fee, on top of the other extra fees for title, transfer and inspection. Buyer beware! Bought a car from them in March - 2 weeks later had transmission issues. They fixed it and the mechanic they used did shady work and forgot to put bolts on transmission. Car stalled 3 weeks later and they were difficult to deal with and till this day have not answered my texts once I took it to a real transmission facility to determine the problem which was faulty transmission repair. Don't consider buying a car there at all. Read all the reviews. I wish I had done my homework on this. The mechanic also charged me for a diagnosis on a visual and didn't bother taking transmission apart to notice it was faulty. My son had run over some debris a few weeks earlier so of course they are trying to say it was his fault. But the part of the transmission that caused the problem was encased and deep in transmission so running over debris wouldn't have caused this. It alerted us to the problem but didn't cause it. Don't recommend, go somewhere else. I agree with a prior review. If I can give them no stars I would. Honestly, drive by don't stop. read more

YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! This is the most unprofessional, mechanically fraudulent dealership I have ever dealt with. I should have listened to that little voice in my head that knew something was wrong! I bought a car, paid cash, in the mid-teens, so it wasn't a clunker. After 1-3 months I started having problems w/ the Mercedes. Not regular problems but fraudulent mechanical problems. Both of my struts went on my car. this is a $5,000 fix on a Mercedes, but the reason the struts failed is because this outfit fixed the struts w/ the wrong arms. This caused the sway bar to be in jeopardy because the struts, being in the wrong place because the arms were not the right size to ruin the whole front end. I finally replaced both struts and immediately the front drive shaft broke-yes split in half causing major problems w/ the gear box, transmission and several other parts. I have emailed this low life organization but no answers to my 10 emails. I have initiated a lawsuit and a complaint w/ the State Of Massachusetts. This place intentionally sold me a car that they had fraudulently fixed this car w/ the wrong parts which was a severe safety hazard! Further, these parts were drilled into places to make them fit-my mechanic was shell shocked and said' "your lucky you didn't get hurt driving this car!" Do not believe or trust the owner or anyone that works there. There are to many other credible dealerships out there that would want your business to risk your safety w/ this non-integrity organization. read more

How do you sell a car with no horn??? My second car i bought back in April a VW Tiguan. Online it was posted as everything was up to date and nothing needed to be done. Within a week I had a 900 dollar fix, my struts, springs and an alignment needed to be done. Fast forward to now! My turbo is damaged and will cost me about 2000+. We drove from NH to look at a manual x3 that they had on the lot. They had owned it for 6 months, so even though it was priced too high we figured there would be some wiggle room in price. We arrived, the guy asked us what car we wanted to see, and he went to grab it. He never introduced himself or asked us our names. Grabbed my boyfriend's license for the test drive and put a plate on. The gas tank was almost completely empty, the range said 11 Miles. We drove it up the street, realized the clutch would need replacing and there was an oil leak. There were many blemishes on the exterior and the leather inside had not been treated well. It was definitely used as a work truck, the tops of the seats were gouged and scratched. Since it was nothing major, and my boyfriend is a bmw master tech we decided that we were still interested but not for the $10,500 asking price. We were thinking closer to $8k, maybe $9k. We got back to the dealer after the shortest test drive ever, the sales guy (still don't know his name) asked what we thought. We asked if there was wiggle room in the price, he invited us inside, pulled it up on his computer and told us it had just come down in price from $11,200 so the $10,500 price was fair. We shared with him the mechanical repairs and his reply was "right year, right color, right price." We told him that if the price wasn't flexible we weren't interested and then he turned and started talking to the next customer without even acknowledging us. He was rude, bottom line. If you're interested in buying a car without any price negotiation, that they do not take mechanical or body work repairs into consideration on the asking price then this is the place for you. Couldnt notice until I went on Highway, Car only came with 1 key, The floormats were gone when I took possession of the car. I was on the market for a very specific vehicle 2008-2009 VW Touareg 2. I am very particular for my cars and I notice the finest of details (might actually be a bad thing for me). Eugene offers no pressure approach for car selling. His cars are the FINEST on the market. I went to test drive one Touareg, i was left alone to look at the car, then took it for a test drive. He was waiting in the office for me the entire time, no pressure. I went and asked for a discount. He explained that his prices are non-negotiable. I was planning to apply the old tactic of leaving and hoping he will come down chasing me with a better price. When i called next day the car was sold. His cars are conditioned and restored to almost factory condition. There is a lot of interest, that is why the whole car buying experience is so relaxed. I was very disappointed that I missed that car. He told be that he has another one coming with even more options. I told him to save it for me even without seeing it. After 3 weeks he called me and I went back. He had prepared the other car to the same level as the previous. He had replaced the steering wheel, since it had some signs of wear, all brand new brakes. Steam wash on the inside, buffing on the outside. He also brought the car for me to VW dealer. I wanted to have a second opinion. Couple of minor remarks, which he fixed within days. Last Saturday I picked up the vehicle. Registered, inspected and waiting for me. I asked him for extended warranty, he showed me the options, and never brought the topic again. Never tried to push me to a policy. No scary repair tactics etc. I am truly pleased by the vehicles (both the one I missed and the one I bought), the service and the total experience. I walked onto this lot after having a terrible experience at another dealership, so I was very skeptical at first but that changed very quickly. The staff was very professional, honest and friendly. Plus everything on there lot had very reasonable prices. They let me test drive a few cars until I found the one I loved! BUYER BEWARE! If you don't know about cars, these guys will not help you. You're on your own. I bought a 2007 Toyota Camry Hybrid with only 68000 miles on it. I didn't know enough about cars to make a wise decision here. I just went off of the reliability of a Toyota Camry, and the low mileage this car had, considering how old it is. I thought having the hybrid was a plus! Little did I know, the tires were rotted. The tread was thick, but the tires were 6 years old and cracking, very unsafe. So I had to replace those to be safe since I have kids ($600). They only give you a 2 month warranty, and if you want to extend it, add $800 to the sale. I said no thanks to the extension, thinking Toyota cars are extremely reliable. On my 3rd month with this car (warranty expired), the Computer System failed on me ($1,100 fix). I called to ask if they can help me with this, they said my warranty is up so they couldn't. I had no choice but to repair this, cuz I can't afford to get out of my loan. I'm not a great negotiator, so I paid the full sticker price ($7500). My trade in blue book value for a 2013 Acura ILX hybrid ($10,000), was $1000 above what I owed on my loan ($9000). They didn't want to give me the trade in value. They just paid off what I owed, so I lost $1000 there, plus I had to put $1000 down to get the loan at a reasonable monthly payment. I lost big time on this deal. I want to make sure YOU don't lose out on yours. Learn from my mistake here. If you don't know about cars, don't buy from here. After your warranty is up, they don't care what happens to you or your purchase. They got away with selling me an old lemon. They get 0 stars from me! Jonathan G. read more

I would have used zero stars if allowed! This dealer had an online add for a VW Passat that I was interested in. Yesterday I emailed and verified its availability. I wa told it was still "here" Today I drove 1 hour 45 minutes each way to see the car. When I got there, I was told "we sold that awhile ago...have plenty of vw passat and jetta to see" 3.5 hours of driving to see a car they don't have!!! I wanted to see that particular passat because of the engine it offered not the smaller engines in the one's they have on the lot. BAIT AND SWITCH MUCH? read more

Look at their website. 70% of cars are SOLD!!!!! Very misleading. It says 70 BMW are available, 47 out of them are sold!!! VW, 39 available, 27 out of them are sold!!! Who does business like that? They want to show that they have a lot of vehicles but out of 180 that says in the inventory probably only 50 available. Very sketchy. Wanted to go there to view few cars, but apparently they are SOLD. Most of the cars have the same description as well. Would not waist my time. And by looking at other people reviews, looks like this way too. read more
