I brought my 2002 Jeep TJ to diagnose rear axle grinding noise that for sure thought I was going spend $$$ for repairs, Rick adviced that these axles use a special lubricant modifier if not used for axle service, axles would not like it and sure enough, he flushed / cleaned the axle added the modifier and noise gone. This guys is so unbelievably rude. I called to ask for a quote of something that someone said was wrong with my car and needed to be fixed. How easy is it to be " IF IT IS THAT, then it would be this, BUT it might acutally be something else and they are lying". He acted like I spit on his newborn when I asked for a quote. Which is weird because on yelp he has a button to request a quote? lol. There is a way in saying things and there is a way not to. I myself work with customers so the concept isn't foreign to me. And then on top of that "I cant quote you and I don't even have time to see your car"... like that's not how you handle a potential customer, ever. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The stories are True! This is NOT a 4.7 rated place, the help reviews are accurate and the SCARY stories are absolutely correct!! We left our car here for FOUR DAYS and never heard back and the guy wouldn't answer his phone during BUSINESS HOURS or return phone calls!! When he FINALLY DID he was very RUDE AND MEAN. I have had a sound coming from my car for months.. in the meantime, I have taken it to at least 3 different places and been told at least 3 different things. Heard about this place from a friend and it was great!! Rick took a quick look at my car and told me what he thought the problem was- for free. Then, he said he would take the wheel off and take a closer look and let me decide whether I wanted to have the work done or not, and only charge after that. He really took the time to not only explain the problem to me but show me as well. I did decide to have the work done with him and the sound is gone! The best place to take you jeep, I have been taking my 89 yj for maintenance for 6 years now and I even had a jasper engine installed by Rick and car is running great - he takes the time to explain and give you options - I use to live close but move to Hollywood fl, but still make the drive to his shop, i woulnt trust anyone but Rick working on my Jeep. read more

Over the course of the 41 years I've owned my 1969 CJ-5 Jeep, I've only had two really good mechanics. One, long retired, was in Loveland, Colorado. The other is Rick at the Jeep Doctor. Prices might be a little on the high side, but both times I've gone he's gotten me in that day, if not right away. Had no problem with me watching a repair while he explained what he was doing. Takes you for a test drive after the repair to make sure the issue was fixed. Rick's also very experienced with jeeps, having worked in a Jeep dealership for over a decade. I'll take my wrangler back if I have other issues. read more

I would caution anyone thinking about going to "The Jeep Doctor." My experience with Rick was awful. After detailing to him what was wrong with my vehicle, he offered to fix it. I then had my vehicle towed to his shop. About 24hrs later, he told me he was not interested in working on my vehicle (despite me having already told him what was wrong with it). When I sent another tow truck ($$$) to pick up my vehicle and deliver it to another shop, Rick would NOT release it to the tow truck company. All he had to do was sign a piece of paper detailing that the tow truck company was authorized to take the vehicle. He was very difficult and angry. I called and tried to reason with him, but the man is much more inclined to yell than listen. In fact, he told me that if I didn't come down there soon that he would start CHARGING me for having my vehicle there!!! I cannot speak to his skills as a mechanic, but in the auto repair business, trust is everything. And I would not trust Rick. read more
