To update my review. After my daughter put out her review here, they contacted her stating they would like to fix this issue. So, where were they when we went in?! WITH not just us, but also family members AS WITNESSES to being kicked out politely, ignored & sent away with the engine problem that still has not been fixed by them or acknowledged regarding warranty etc. Her warranty was canceled without her notice even the loan company is questioning why we have had to go through all this with them! Therefore, they are suddenly acting like they care....shameful! When I say, we will sue for mental anguish, loss of work, danger to my grandchildren & my daughter!!!! What will they do next?! We expect this fixed or we will go as high as we can to make sure no one else goes through anything like this. I have lost a LOT of money due to this & so has my daughter...will they pay her for her loss of work?! For the mental damages?! For the fear it caused our family when the tire rod disconnected with my grandsons in the back seat?! They passed inspection while it should NEVER have passed. This is dirty! And NOW they respond?! We purchased this vehicle in 2023, it is now 2025 & they have done absolutely nothing but cause us anguish & anger for stealing our money from us. And hurting my daughter's career as, like anyone else, she needs a reliable vehicle to get to & from work!!! Will they actually FIX or REPLACE with a BETTER OPTION due to ALL our losses from a dirty auto dealership!!!! We will spread this everywhere until this issue is fixed! read more

Lauren was fantastic! First, she made the financing work when pastors paychecks are a little different to deal with. Then, she got me financing that worked for ME. Finally, she helped me when I was really mourning my old, beloved van and put me in a car that is so much better for my current empty nest traveling. I went from a panic and upset over losing a beloved vehicle to happy and bragging about my midlife-crisis-mobile Chevy Volt. Everyone I spoke with at the dealership were wonderful, but Lauren was and is a treasure!! read more

If you like safe cars RUN!!! I wish I could leave negative stars. I purchased a vehicle in 2023 and it has been nothing but an absolute nightmare since. Firstly my tie rod disconnected while I was taking my children to school and that side was "worked on" right before being purchased. There was an oil leak since day 1 and they refused to service the issue, initially stating that it needed a dealer specific tool to fix the issue, they then "purchased" the tool to "fix" my issue, passed the inspection on it, and two weeks later the car is no longer functioning, the engine was shredding belts because the oil got all over the place and was making things move that shouldn't. They allegedly fixed it, passed the inspection and then a week later that same belt that was replaced was shredded again because the leak was never actually taken care of. Because the long term "we fixed it, so you can drive" back and forth the coolant has mixed in with the engine oil and my engine was knocking I took it for an oil change and to see why it made that strange noise and that is where they saw the engine was a mess and the coolant mixed in with the oil and to tow it home. I called again to address the issue and they stated that they cannot work on the car because they don't have enough bays to work on other cars while fixing mine and that this will take up too much of their time and referred me to the specific car brands dealership. Michelle I believe was the service managers name, put on this bunk therapist calm voice on while telling us there is nothing she can do. This place is a joke. It has been off the road for a year now because of the constant issues. Never again! read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP! This was the worst car dealership I have ever had to deal with. The salesperson contacted me on Facebook when I placed a car for sale on Marketplace. She stated a purchase price for the vehicle after their technician looked at the car. She came back with a price far below the stated purchase price because, "the car has been in an accident, even if it doesn't show up on the CarFax report." Um, no...this vehicle was never in an accident. She also found the tires were bad, spit they were new tires six months earlier, along with some sort of oil leak in the rear of the car...all not true. I immediately left and sold the car the next day to a very large, well known dealership for $500 more than I was asking. They have very unethical practices and the sales people abide by these practices. read more

I had the best experience here buying my car! Working with Lauren was a dream. She made the process really easy and seamless and has an all-star personality, so it was like working with a friend. It was really a pleasure doing this transaction and I felt like I was in good hands and was really comfortable during the whole process. I love my car! Couldn't be happier! Thank you Lauren!!! read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM AUTO OUTLETS. In May 2023, my nephew and niece bought a car from Auto outlets. They paid $16,900 for a 2015 Chevy traverse with 85,000 miles. They drove it home to Syracuse, New York called the dealer to tell them the check engine light went on. They brought the car back. The service department made a repair and said it was fixed. They drove home and the same problem occurred. They wanted the car. They liked the car. The same problem happened again. After additional repairs, they were told the problem was fixed. They brought the car home and the check engine light came on again. Engine misfire. After additional trips to the dealership, 100 miles away, they begin to work with local mechanics. Same thing, mechanics looked at it said we think we have it fixed and the same issue occurred. Yesterday, we requested they take the car back and be fair. They offered a wholesale price of $10,500 for a car that was originally purchased for $16,900. Not including sales tax, they would've lost $6400 for seven months of driving a vehicle. My last car was a 2009 Kia Spectra which held out quite well, but it was time for a new(er) car. I had good luck with used cars and being from the Canandaigua area, there is an entire road where it's auto dealership after auto dealership. I wanted to find something different than what I've driven before; mostly 4-door sedans and grocery-getters. Passed by Auto Outlets and out front was a nice looking black VW Beetle. Not quite Herbie but interesting enough for me to stop in and check it out. I didn't start out with express interest in the car, but let them lead me around to take a look at what was in stock. Friendly and patient sales staff who made me feel like I was listened to and the buying experience was pretty much hassle-free. I was somewhat sceptical to go there based on some other Yelp reviews, but I took their review-as you should take mine- with a grain of salt. Especially nowadays, a used car dealership won't last long 'hiding' mechanical faults in cars, and so far, my car has been without major fault. 10/10 would buy from them again. read more

I had the wonderful opportunity to work Lauren, she was patient and understanding and took the time to walk the entire lot with me to find exactly what fit my needs! Never a number and always her priority! read more

The whole process was quick and simple, and there was clear transparency with policies and fees. Nick Foster was great to work with! He answered all our questions and offered open availability for a weekend test drive and singing paperwork in the late evening. Thank you! read more

AVOID!! this company goes out of its way to hide serious mechanical flaws in its stock of vehicles. You have been warned. read more

Definitely the place to go for a smooth transaction. And fair at that. Can't say enough about this group of people. Hometown heroes in my book. Nick is the guy to ask for! He is awesome. So accommodating especially in complicated situations. read more

Bought a car from them 18 days ago, already have had multiple problems with it. And I'm having even more problems getting it fixed and then handling it in a professional manner. I'll admit that the sales people are very nice and professional, however, the service people are absolutely awful! Especially one lady that works in service (can't remember her name) but I've worked in customer service for 8 years, and she is absolutely the rudest person I've ever encountered in customer service. I will never do business with them again and I completely regret my purchase! I don't foresee them making this right, I'm sure they'll give me more trouble. I've never left a bad review for a company, but I had to voice my frustration on this one. read more

This was the most unprofessional experience I have had when purchasing a car. They did not follow up on information for a loan and when i called said they received a rate of 8% they said I had past bad credit...well I have purchased 3 brand new cars since an issue with a business 10years ago and now have close to an 800 credit score and my credit union came back with a 3.69% rate. Then a week later I get one of the letters from one of there lenders and it said nothing about me having bad credit but all reasons around the vehichle the mileage, the years and that I had auto loans already which I do not. This place was very sketchy and have heard horror stories about their vehicles since....RUN!!! So happy I decided not to purchase my second fun summer car from them and found much better options and professional people to deal with!!! read more

Can't say enough about auto outlets. They go above and beyond for their customers. Great prices! Great service! I'm on my 3rd car that I've purchased from them and this won't be my last. read more

Rick B. ,the salesman, did not follow through in supplying me with the promised owners manual. He stopped messaging and ignored my further communications. read more

Worst service I've ever had. Took me over 3 weeks to have a manager call me back after there were issues with the vehicle. Lied to us about the warranty. Car was a mess when we picked it up. Options they said were in the car weren't in it and the brakes are bad but signed off on by the mechanic. I'll never buy from them again read more

We just had the most pleasant experience buying a car from here. Our sales associate-Patrick Himmler was super helpful, we came with an idea of what we wanted, he provided us with similar options and put us into the car that worked for us in a timely manner. Patrick was accommodating to our needs and actually made purchasing a car fun! This dealership has the best selection and value of any in the Rochester area. When you meet Patrick give him a big old hug! read more

I had a great experience here. My old cars transmission went and I needed a new car quickly. Jeff was great and patient and they took their time finding me a car I could afford and would get approved for a loan for. I was able to drive home in my new car the same day. They helped me update all my insurance information with Geico, and were very accommodating going above and beyond to help me. Jeff was new but he was great, and everyone there was very friendly. I hope to have this car for a long time, but I know when I need another car I will return here, it was a friendly environment and very low pressure. A friend of mine suggested this place to me, and I cannot thank her enough. My experience was great! read more

Bought a car from Auto Outlet in Canandaigua because of its low mileage but am not happy with their follow up services or methods for automatically including the overpriced warranty on the loan financing the car. They told me I could cancel the warranty the next day so I went in before the end of the month and signed the paperwork to do so. I waited 3 months for the cost of the warranty to come off of my loan but it did not. I had to call over 12 times to get in touch with the proper person to handle the call and one time the woman who answered first rudely told me to wait and was complaining to her coworker about getting these calls. Finally the guy who knew anything about the warranty answered and told me they did it wrong so now 4 months later I have to wait another 35-45 days for this $2,000+ warranty to come off of the loan all while it's getting interest applied. Auto Outlet did not seem to care or offer any assistance. I would not recommend them to anyone unless you find a car on their lot that's better than any others around and are clear that you do not want the warranty, and refuse to sign anything until they remove it. read more

Salesman was pushy about add-ons that he didn't know anything about. He was just trying upsell for undercoating, unecessary warranties etc. They charged $100 to wax the car before pick up. They added $800 undercoating prepaid fee to my contract when I told them twice I did not want this. Now they are not refunding. Poor professionalism and shady behind the scenes dealings with paperwork and hidden fees. read more

Worst vehicle purchase experience ever. 140 point inspection must be a joke. Truck wasn't even detailed when we picked it up but figured we would let it go. It has been back to their shop 3 times in 2 months! We actually bought it from Spencerport and then they closed a week later. Now we have no choice but to drive from Greece all the way to Canandaigua for service on our extended warranty. 1st time the tranny pan needed replaced after the truck threw a check engine code. Same code came back on a few weeks later and they flashed the computer. Paid $500 to have shocks replaced that trip. We've had it 2 months!!! Now the truck is pulling to the right real bad and we discovered the lug nuts are able to be finger turned. Are you kidding me?! We've had it back for 3 days and it needs to go back again because it sounds like the wheel bearings are messed up. Stay away. Real far away. read more
