I have bought three (3), vehicles from Auto Lenders, I have referred so many customers and I have praised the Auto Lenders Team, defended at times also. I ran into a car issue, transmission to be exact on Friday, February 20, 2026. I called Auto Lenders to have the service team look at it, diagnose and possibly repair. When I called the service department, I was asked the usual questions. My name, contact number and I was asked was the service for the Honda or Jeep? I said neither it is for the Subaru Outback. He asked if I had another number possibly? I gave an old number nothing came up. He asked if I was sure that I bought the Subaru from Auto Lenders, where I advised I did and it was my third (3) vehicle that I purchased from there. He then asked if I had the VIN which I gave him, to my surprise and his; he informed me that the VIN was still showing to be on the lot and not purchased. I said Sir I bought this car from you guys in June of 2023. He then said he needed to speak to the finance manager and would call me back, because he was showing that I purchased a Honda CRV. I was SHOCKED! I have never had an issue with Auto Lenders; the sales team was always helpful, not pushy and respectful. However, this is not sitting right with me. How could someone mess this up? I did call my auto lender, Capital One to verify they had the Subaru Outback information and they do and I also double checked the DMV records. The service guy would not schedule an appointment until this was fixed. My car was not drivable and I called back to speak to the sales department to see if I bought an extended warranty because I could not remember. It was the first time I encountered an Auto Lenders salesman pushing to purchase a vehicle. I advised him I still owe $17,000, the car was not drivable and I live 35 minutes away, can they help with a tow? He said if I purchased another vehicle, yes. What about getting the car looked at to be serviced? No. I understand clerical errors happen however for me the consumer, this is a big mess up. Although the paper work is now corrected, I believe someone in the corporate office should be aware of this error. I am an Office Administrator for a radiology company and if a mess up like this happens, it is imperative that I know and correct the issue. I have since taken my car to a transmission shop where it is being replaced. I never received an apology from anyone, no manager called me to explain anything, and the stress this caused was intense. In the past I have bought a 2012 Honda Accord, 2015 Jeep Patriot and 2016 Subaru Outback, all from the Toms River, NJ location. I hope this error never happens to anyone else and I hope your team, ensures the double check data while inputting. read more

Amazing team working together to make our car buying experience exciting & pleasant. Eric Buser is exceptional... vehicle knowledge, inventory familiarity and willingness to bring cars in from other locations for us to test drive. Florence jumped in to help out in Eric's absence making this transaction painless & seamless. Eric's son, Jeremy, detailed our vehicle making it look & smell brand new. Even financing with Bobby was smooth as could be. We've been buying Autolenders for over 20 years. No reason to buy anywhere else. read more

Both my family and I have bought cars from Auto Lenders in Toms River with good experiences. My purchase was a Camry in 2023. Last week I brought the car to the service department in Toms River for an oil change. When the job was done, Greg, the service writer, told me that my alternator is going to fail. I said how do you know? He said we can tell when we scan the battery that the alternator is going bad. I said really? So I asked, "What does a new alternator cost?" He says $870.00. I said I can't do that right now. So he says, "Well, don't drive far, it can stop working at any time. Watch your lights, they'll stop working".I drive to Stamford once a month, so I was concerned. When I got home, I checked the paperwork and realized that there was no diagnostic run on my car to prove his claim. Also, on my way home i noticed that my blind side lights or rear backup alert did not work. They were working when I drove there... My BIL is a Certified Toyota mechanic, so I called him. He took my car to the dealership and checked it out. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY ALTERNATOR!!! The button for the alerts had been turned off. I had a good experience buying my car and just continued to use their auto shop. Unfortunately, because of Greg, they just lost a customer. Did he see a woman come in for an oil change and figure he could make an easy commission by lying to me? My gut told me something was off when he was speaking to me, and I was right. Don't use their auto shop. They will rip you off! UPDATE. I have been contacted by corporate regarding my review. They said that they are upset that this happened and are very sorry. They say that the service writer has been talked to about this. In the past, I have had good experiences in the auto shop with service writers Chris and Maria. I have been assured that this won't happen again. I was instructed to contact the service manager next time I bring my car in... Thank you for reaching out. read more

I purchased a 2019 jeep Cherokee from Auto Lenders of Toms River back in March of 2022. It had 34,000 miles and was fully loaded. Easy choice. I had purchased from them before and it was a good experience. I can't write all I want to because there's a stupid word limit but lets just say I will never purchase or recommend anyone purchase a vehicle from them because their misdiagnosing...or lack of diagnosing an engine issue has ended in the motor needing to be replaced to the tune of $11,000....which I don't have...and I still owe $17,000 on this maroon paperweight. They ignored my pleadings and my telling them something was wrong...until I was 700 past warranty expiration. Now they found the problem. The problem was there every time I brought the jeep in. The other three times I brought it in they said there was nothing wrong. Why would I keep bringing it in if nothing was wrong?? Who does that? This is criminal. I either throw my credit away by letting the finance company repossess it or I pay $419/month for a car with a blown motor. And while I'm at it...jeep should be ashamed of themselves for becoming such a shitty and shoddy manufacturer. They obviously built a lemon. Jeep motors don't die at 75,000 miles. Not the old jeeps. Both jeep and auto lenders should fix the jeep. Did I mention AL offered to buy it back for a $10,000 loss? Is the motor REALLY blown? Do they want to fix it cheap and sell it again to someone else? Something shady is happening and my only recourse is to find a lawyer. I really believe if I was a man the jeep would have been fixed the first time. Women get ripped off way too often by car dealers. Way too often. Buyers beware. read more

We were in the market for a second car, and this dealer had a great price on Autotrader for a 2017 Bolt Premier. It was a bit of a schlep down to NJ from MA, but was worth it. I worked with Florence to get a test drive, get some quick tire stuff done on the vehicle, and purchase the vehicle. I ended up heading back home without the car because MA makes it a huge hassle to buy a car from out of state. Before I left, Florence and the sales manager worked out a way for me to get the car shipped home so that I didn't have to come back, which made it an easy decision to buy and much less of a headache. The title showed up for me in the mail a few days later and I was able to start the process of getting it set up with MA. For the shipping and throughout the process Florence kept me apprised of where everything was at and I finally got my car at home today. All in all, was an easy experience and I'd recommend getting a car here. read more

Auto Lenders - 2017 Bolt Premier - Car Dealers Near Me - Toms River, New Jersey

I just bought a used 2021 Jeep Cherokee Limited this past weekend with Dante at Toms River Auto Lenders and it was a great experience! Dante was incredible to work with, very willing to assist and patient with inexperienced car buyers. I felt very welcomed and not at all pushed to make a decision, and the entire process was transparent, friendly, candid, and collaborative. This place is also extremely military-friendly and somewhere I would recommend to all service members, and anyone in general, when you look for your next vehicle! They hooked me up with an incredible vehicle for an incredible price, with way less aggravation than normally comes with buying a car as an added bonus :) read more

Jeep is beautiful and a great deal. However, staff and/or computer system do not believe that a woman can handle maintenance on the vehicle. It was bought in my name only, outright no payments, came out of MY account. The only thing my boyfriend did was make the first phone call to A.L.. Dante the salesman was told that John had nothing to do with the purchase and to deal with just me. Title only in my name. Well,John was getting ALL the texts and emails. "HI JOHN ARE YOU ENJOYING YOUR NEW JEEP?".Went to the lot explained to another salesman I felt disrespected that they weren't contacting me the owner. All info was changed supposedly that day. Guess who is STILL emails and texts and none are being sent to me. All this after multiple phone calls and a personal visit and conversation. Everything was supposed to be changed to just me only MULTIPLE TIMES. Tired of the poor computer system and disrespect given to me ,the purchaser and titled owner. All John did was make the first phone call to ask about the vehicle. Ladies don't bring a man and if you do don't let them take any of his info Just spoke with a very nice and professional woman from the corporate office. Thank you Sharon for fixing this problem where the men I spoke with couldn't or wouldn't. After my service scheduled for 3/3/25, I may change this review if I am treated respectfully as the buyer and titled owner. read more

I purchased my vehicle from this location a few years ago and went here for oil changes and tire rotations normally every winter. During my last visit I got an oil change that took 4 hours and the mechanic forgot to put the O ring in the right place of oil filter. my oil has been slowly leaking out to a point where it was causing mechanical issues. To overlook something this simple without any care on there part it is hard to ever recommend even basic service let alone something advanced. look elsewhere for repairs. read more

The used cars are all detailed to make them look brand new which is impressive. I saw online what I wanted and it was waiting for my arrival. What I did not like was that they pushed the extended warranty on me like I was stupid if I did not take it (I didn't). The salesman also gave me the impression that the brakes on this low mileage (12.5k) car were new. The car is now at close to 20,OO0 miles and I just had to put new front brake pads on the vehicle. That means I bought the car with the original brakes. I bought a used Honda HRV and now wish I bought a brand new one. read more

Unfortunately could not do business because the sales representatives could not just be forward and truthful what so ever with moving forward on pricing until day of purchase adding additional costs.. bothersome because i had made multiple trips over multiple weeks and been very clear with my questioning to know what exactly i had to bring to leave with this vehicle Very upset what a waste of time ! read more

We were trying to find a used low milage car for my daughter and grandson. We went to some local place that was going to rip us off big time. So then we drove around Toms River after backing out of the deal with the local place. Chris Morales immediately helped us find exactly what we wanted we got a hardly used honda civic 2017 for an exceptional price and everything was upfront no games! We are so happy she has a reliable car now and there isn't a scratch on it for 2017 that's amazing! Low milage 1600 total car fax was exceptional and they got us the best loan available! Glad she now has a great car that is safe to drive my grandson in! read more

I bought a beautiful car yesterday at Auto Lenders, and the entire experience was awesome! Joel very patiently walked me around the huge lot as we looked at many nice car options. We then sat and reviewed the multitude of great cars they have at their other locations. I finally choose a fantastic Mercedes which you would never know isn't brand spanking new! I got a crazy good price, full protection extended warranty, and I couldn't be more pleased. Many of my friends recommended Auto Lenders to me, and I am very glad I went. Joel couldn't have been nicer, knowledgeable, and helpful. Thank you to Joel and his entire crew! read more

I got jipped a couple hundred dollars last year actually selling my car to them. I had a price and it took them months to accept my price. One of the guys called me and said that they would take my price, but when we sat down to do the paperwork it was much less and then here was the whole "let me talk to my manager and try to get this taken care of I can't do anything about it. We did the whole dance for like an hour and they came to a price a couple hundred short of what I wanted but at that point they had won. I was so aggravated that I thought I was going to go in for a nice and fair transaction and got Joanne the scammer'd/ hustled. So basically the takeaway from this story is always get ur prices in writing. Tell them to email you with the price that they're telling you because their word don't mean anything here; and that's the worst in my opinion. You've been warned. read more

As usual ,Jason Scudieri ,from Auto Lenders does his job and he does it excellently. Whatever the issue he handles it very professionally and in such a kind manner ensuring the client is satisfied. Excellent, no haggle car buying experience. I have purchased my 3rd vehicle from Auto Lenders over the last 12 years and each time I have visited their dealership it has been a very positive experience. Eric Buser and Christopher Murphy in the Toms River location are top-notch, straight forward professionals that will help you with your purchase. There is never any "pushiness" or "up-sell". The price that you see is the price that you will pay plus the appropriate sales taxes along with motor vehicle tag charges. They have an excellent selection of quality cars, all makes and models, that go through a very thorough inspection process. You will have a terrific buying experience with Auto Lenders. read more

Following up on previous comment. Someone from Auto Lenders corporate office reached out, and as expected, now that you have the vehicle, there is not much they can do for you. Just a word of advice, check out everything before you buy, because once you sign on the dotted line, you can give up any hope that they will help. read more

Nice way to bounce back! I brought my mother's in for an oil change and one of the staff, who waited on me, was not wearing a mask. I contacted them and told them about my experience. I am extremely disgusted right now with the toms river auto lenders. The gentleman at the service counter (can't remember his name right now) was wearing no face mask. This made me feel very uncomfortable so I questioned him about it and his response was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. He almost acted like how dare I question him about it. He is violating the governor's orders and putting his customers at risk. So disgusted right now. I will never give this auto lenders my business and I will tell everyone I know. read more

Great quality cars, service, prices and staff. I left there knowing I am in good hands. Mike Simone the salesman was upfront with all the costs. Jesse Vucas guided us easily through all the paperwork and Paul Puglisi was great with financing. Nobody likes to go and spend ours at a dealership. Auto lenders staff took all my info I test drive what I liked, filled out an Application and I said whatever you can make work let me know. And I left and came back the next day. All was done. I would not shop anywhere else. Thank you Auto-lenders for a great experience. read more

AutoLenders is no longer the "smarter way to buy a car". They're no different than your typical used car dealership. The sales man didn't tell me until after all the paperwork was signed that there was only 1 key to the car. At which point it was too late. My bad, I know I should have asked beforehand. read more

Stopped in Saturday after being very disappointed with Causeway Honda in Manahawkin. Met with Joel and he had the car we were looking for waiting for us. After a test drive, he suggested I drive a few other brands in the same class. By Monday night I was the proud new owner of a Jeep Cherokee! Love the fact that they are a no haggle dealership. They also gave us more for my car in a trade-in then other people had offered us. I would highly recommend you look at Auto Lenders if you're looking for a low mileage used car. read more

I was so happy for about the 1st month I owned my truck. After that all went down hill, nothing but one problem after another. 1st my lift gate went, I took it back service told me it had to be something I did so it's not covered under the minimal warranty they gave me. They quoted me an astronomical amout 3x's what Nissan themselves wanted to fix it. A few months later while driving the truck started to shake only to find out the tire rod was completely rotted out (less than a year after purchase) and needed new breaks. I was told that was "wear and tear" not covered. Now less than 2 years of having the truck my radiator has completely rotted out. I feel like I bought I huge lemon and was completely taken advantage of. read more

This company claims to buy all cars as a trade in but refused to give me a specific price for my car. Secondly, it claimed that the vehicle had more options than the base model. This was a false claim. Third ,it claimed to have great financing but any the specific dealer who sold the same type of vehicle dealer had better financing deals. Fourth, the outside writeup was not at all accurate. Fifth, they have a terrible warranty of only 60 days. I would never recommend these liars to anyone. read more

I recently bought my second car with Auto Lenders and am as satisfied with my purchase as the first one 4 years ago. Auto Lenders was better than any local option that I took the 3 hour drive from Baltimore to buy my car in Jersey. My salesman, Steve Price, came over to the Toms River location (close to my family's place) on his day off to help me with my purchase. Even the owner, Brad, had contacted me to help be part of my purchase. I plan to continue to buy all my future car purchases from Auto Lenders. read more
