From start to finish, Lester Glenn Subaru was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, kind and efficient. I never felt rushed in any way, they had the car that we wanted and were very fair and helpful with both the trade in we had and the new purchase we made. It was a fairly complex transaction but they handled everything quickly and completely. The additional staff checking in to make sure we were comfortable with the car both during the purchase and afterwards have all been extremely helpful, and the finalization of the paperwork came much sooner than promised. Can't recommend our experience more highly. read more

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE‼ My wife was in a horrible car accident about three months ago. She has permanent injuries, and the car was totaled. We decided to go to Lester Glenn Subaru in Toms River, figuring we could trust them to sell us a reliable car at a decent price. Oh how wrong we were... Our salesman seemed nice, and assured us he's not like typical car salesmen. He also assured us that the car he was selling us went through their point inspection for safety. We bought the car. Fast forward hardly two months later--my wife's brakes fail as she bears a stop sign. Then the car completely stalls. We bring it in to get checked out, turns out the ABS has issues, there's a faulty spark plug, and there is a head gasket leak. The head gasket alone will cost us thousands of dollars to fix, which we don't have. Lester Glenn has offered to fix the spark plug issue for free, which is appreciated and worth noting. But overall, my wife and I are devastated. We spent our savings on this car. We have no idea how we will afford these fixes. The salesman shook our hand with a grin on his face, rang his bell, and sent us on our way. My trust is completely destroyed in Lester Glenn Subaru, and honestly in all car salesmen. The stereotypes are true. We are just cash cows for these people to milk dry. I feel scammed. read more

Don't get your car serviced at this dealership as after having a 60 thousand mile check up my labor costs were $2289.00. Work that was done was only around $1061.00 which brings us to a grand total of my bill to $3355.00 Which is insane! and to top it off the service guy put when my next oil change will be - 1-2-2025 which was 6 months ago. I know of a few good car service centers in my area where I usually go but I figured I have a Subrau I should get a good check up at a subrau dealer but I was wrong- they rip u off. read more

If I could rate it 0 I would. I bought my Subaru in 2018 and just recently moved to PA. I went to change my licenses plates over (note: PA only uses one back plate), I took my front one off and instead of Lester Glenn using the two PROVIDED license plate mounting holes, I found they left TWO EXTRA holes. See the picture attached. Honestly, they should be responsible for replacing my bumper because of the damage they've caused. They didn't offer for me to put my plates on, they did it for me and caused extra damage. I know Lester Glenn monopolizes Toms River but man they are unacceptable. read more

Had an excellent buying experience with Will. Informative, low pressure, listened to what I needed and help me find an appropriate car.

After having a Jeep for 5 years, I decided to switch it up and get a Subaru. I should mention that I recently got a 2021 Grand Jeep Cherokee lease through Seaview Jeep 6 months ago. What I didn't realize was that only having 10,000 miles per year on the lease, I wasn't able to travel. I came to Lester Glenn Subaru in hopes of getting out of the lease and Hans did just that! He was a WONDERFUL salesman!! The whole dealership felt like family once we completed the financing process - and I left with a Honda Touring and 2 free years of oil changes. I highly recommend this dealership. read more

Don't know why there are so many good reviews. I bought a Subaru at this location. I bought the MySubaru app through Lester Glenn to have remote access to my new car. It cost me $99 dollars with tax. Well after some time I noticed I didn't have to pay Lester Glenn $99 dollars because the first three years on the app state it's free. Also I bought an extended Warranty. Asked if it was a Subaru warranty. Well it wasn't. They sold me a third party warranty. read more

OURS was a great buying experience that we cannot praise enough. At 4 in the afternoon, we contacted Lester Glenn Subaru about matching a price on a pre-owned vehicle we found (out of state) that we were picking up at 7:00 that night. Lester Glenn could not match the price...they did even better! They gave us the heads-up on a certified Crosstrek they had with 7,700 miles and all the features we wanted. It all went down on Saturday evening between 4:30 and 7:00 pm (they close at 6 pm, mind you). The Crosstrek was sitting in our driveway at 8:00. The process began with Chelsea Pavlick and Emily Wiggins who worked the deal via email and over the phone. Seth Leifer is the salesman who stayed late to deliver the perfect car for us, and Brian Pataky in the finance department made things quick and smooth, AND matched the great terms our credit union was offering. Overall, this was the smoothest car-buying experience we ever had, and it all took place in a couple of hours. Seth had everything done long before my wife and I got there, and we are sorry he had to wait for us to come from so far away. The entire Lester Glenn Subaru Team scored a 10 with us, and now we are riding in our perfect vehicle. Thanks, Seth, Brian, Chelsea, Emily, and Lester. You all did a fantastic job in pulling off a seamless transaction with no time in which to do it! Cheers! read more

Lester Glenn Subaru - Ready for its first adventure. - Car Dealers Near Me - Toms River, New Jersey

We donated our van to an organization and we needed a car. Not a new car, but an affordable used car. I started looking online in every car dealer, but I never thought of a Subaru. My husband had suggested it because he has a co-worker that bought one and then her mom bought one too at some other car dealer. So, I started looking at Lester Glenn and found one, but when we got there, it was a stick. Luckily, they had another sedan that wasn't. It's a 2018 Impreza and we bought it in February this year. We have driven it to Ocean City, MD, Allentown,PA and soon to Indiana,Indianapolis. It drives very smoothly. We are very happy with the car! read more

I had scheduled an appointment for an oil change on my day off at 1:45. I had something come up so I called and spoke to Frank who rescheduled my appointment for 10:45. The morning of my appointment, I get a call at 7:32 saying I missed my 7:30 appointment. When I called to ask what happened, the woman was extremely nasty and rude explaining I missed my appointment and there was nothing they could do about it. I explained I am a teacher and can only get there on my days off. She continued to be nasty and blame me saying I missed the appointment, even though Frank said 10:45 over the phone. This place is so stereotypically dishonest and sleazy it's almost funny. I bought an Impreza from them back in 2012. From day one, dealing with them has been a hassle. I knew the car I wanted, picked it out, was ready to go in all of fifteen minutes. I do enough research beforehand and go in prepared. It took over six hours to get the paperwork done - and they had to drive me to the other location because they were having computer issues. I literally spent an entire day buying a car that I was ready to buy within fifteen minutes. When you buy a car from Lester Glenn, they give you a "coupon" booklet to mark services at certain mileage points - as well as "free" oil changes. When you bring your car in for "free" oil changes, they wind up doing $150-$200 worth of "service". Every. Single. Time. And taking your car in for service at Lester Glenn is painful. It takes forever, and the service manager will harass you to give them five stars on the surveys that get emailed to you. All of their good reviews are not genuine - they harass you, or offer you coupons for discounted services in return for five star reviews. When I bought the car, I made the mistake of signing up for a tire warranty. When I had a problem (that was listed as covered under the warranty) , they refused to cover it and wanted an insane amount of money for new tires. When we argued with them, they said they'd check into it, and that it was probably covered. By then, I had already ordered tires from somewhere else for a fraction of the cost that they quoted me. My latest incident involved getting headlights replaced. I had two go out within a couple days of each other and needed them replaced. Not only did they transfer my phone call four times, but the woman on the phone had a nasty, condescending attitude. They wanted $150 (low end estimate) to replace the bulbs, relying on the "complicated process" of removing the bumper, it's very invasive, etc etc. You're mechanics. Removing the bumper might be complicated for the average consumer -without an auto shop - as a professional mechanic, it's a routine, every-day occurrence. Oh well. STS did it for $24. I can't say enough bad things about this car dealership. I'm grateful that Yelp prevents businesses from influencing and removing reviews on here - a general Google search gives a very unauthentic view of this car dealership. Save yourself the hassle and go elsewhere. read more

Terrible experience. Bought my car from there. When I needed a tow they said after 3pm (1500) they couldn't help me they "have lives". Meaning, not having a car and having bought a car from this dealership I was out of optins. Very rude on the phone. Only dealership in the area to be added. They must feel like people are obligated to shop there. Terrible. Customer service out the window. Forget it. Literally a bunch of miserable people in a room. read more

In April I purchased a 2016 Cross Trek from Drew. I did my homework and went in educated. I knew what the cars were going for and what I was willing to pay. Not only did they exceed the price that I was looking for I was able to get an extended 100k warranty and the tire road hazard for under the price I wanted to pay. About a week after driving it off the lot, I had an issue with a tire. They immediately took me in and did the repair within an hour. When my wife's car (2002 Audi w/189K miles) went, I went to see Drew again. She was at work and asked me to do some research. Again went in with my ducks in a row and a general idea of the inventory. Drew pulled several vehicles that I picked so my wife could test drive them as soon as she got off work. They gave well over KBB for trade and gave a great price on a certified 2014 Cross Trek with 18K miles. So far I can say that I have nothing but good to say about this dealership. Drew is a no pressure salesman that was very helpful. read more

Sales: Outstanding, no pressure customer service. I dealt with Sal when I bought my 2017 wrx. Easy to negotiate a great price and deal on your vehicle. Period. This is my seventh new car purchase from a multitude of car dealers and Lester Glenn has me as a customer for life. Also Lisa is very professional and helpful when I brought in my vehicle for service. Cleanliness : spotless interior and exterior. Modern design and open space. I deleted my review here after being under the impression by one of the three sales manager the issue I am having was resolved. However, it seems as Lester Glenn Subaru needed more time to stall to correct this big problem so I am writing again. Couldn't of had a worse car buying experience. Bought a car over a month ago - Lester still hasn't given me the cars plates or original title. Now, stuck with a car with temp tags that have expired over a week ago. Can't wait to see the damage when a cop pulls me over. I've been lied to on multiple occasions that my title is in the mail and I'll have it by the end of the week, but it is never the case. They've given me the option to return the car and get my $ back. Annoying, just hand over the plates and title. You would think being proactive and calling the dealership multiple times to resolve the problem would help. No, Ryan, Jim, Patrick - good luck getting them to answer their phones.. "They're busy with customers, they'll give you a call back." Not my first rodeo - I've heard that one before. Love the car but absolutely horrible experience car shopping here. read more

The service dept here is top notch. Out of all the dealers I've been to I have never been treated better. Also I can see how they are open and honest with the elderly population (holiday city folks). The whole place is brand new. The sales people are very nice as well. Leased a car from this dealer in October and am still suffering the consequences. The lease experience itself was awful - we had a simple trade in of a lease from another Lester Glenn dealer, at the end of that lease. You'd think two LG shops would know how to deal with each other? Guess again. It took two days to complete the paperwork. Now three months later, I get a $700 bill from Lester Glenn for excess wear and early termination on the car we turned in. Um, wasn't that supposed to be part of what I paid back in October? I contacted the dealer and was referred to Donato Jensen, who passed the buck to someone who called me once to say he was working on it, and then never called again. I sent e-mails to CEO Adam Kraushaar and VP John Perillo Sr., and got no response. I've purchased four Lester Glenn vehicles before this and will NEVER use any of their dealerships again. read more

Have to ask if there is a 0 rating. One star is too much. All of the lester Glenn dealer stores are the stereo type of slick and shady car dealers. My experience was nothing short of waste of time and effort. It was like s joke between the men on the floor as they try to push cars that would not past inspection blindfolded. Let me start by saying that I'm someone who asks tons of questions. I like to learn a lot about a car before I buy it. I put my feelers out to 12 dealerships in NJ and Lester Glenn was one that responded immediately. They were upfront and honest about everything I wanted to know about the car, including the price. They never seemed to mind answering any question with ease and immediately I knew that I was dealing with knowledgeable friendly people. I felt more than comfortable driving over an hour to go down to their dealership to see if they would follow through. What ensued was nothing better than a perfect car buying experience. As a woman alone, you can feel pressured but NEVER did I feel like the people who helped me, namely Fred in sales, Donato and finally Mike in finance, we're talking down or at me. They made me feel at ease with every step. While waiting, I met a gentleman waiting for his car who told me he'd never bring it anywhere else because of the high level of customer service at this place. I see why.
