Was disappointed that he could not schedule me today, yet, Gino's brother Tony, came out to look and listen to see what the issues were after I scheduled an appointment for next week. Tony was fantastic and gave me great advice on what to do (and NOT do) while driving until I could drop off the vehicle next week. I look forward to going back next week to get it serviced. Based on their sincerity and kindness and willing to look under the hood before I left, I was very impressed. I have lived in Char/Meck for 38 years. Have always seen this little place on Monroe Rd. Over a year ago another import shop quoted me over 8K for a new engine (just the engine, the labor would be extra). Import connection replaced the belts, fixed the oil leak, and cleaned it for a fraction of an engine replacement. Over a year after that event, the car is still running. Highly recommended.

This place is just a money grab. Voicing our opinion to some friends they had the same experience as we did and never fixed the root issue. a minute ago New…read moreKevin came out to look at my mom's car that was having a coolant leak. Kevin charged $150 to diagnose the car and said that payment will be applied to the total fix the car. I was ok with that. He made his diagnosis then ordered parts from advanced auto parts. He calls me when he's picking up the part saying the store ordered and quoted him for the wrong part. At this point I'm completely understanding. He sends me a link to order the correct part. I ordered the part and then let him know it arrived. He came out to fix the car. I told him I was at work so my mom would be the primary contact and told him to reach out to her for anything. He comes out and starts working. I get a call from him at work. He didn't want to call my mom because he knew she was going to be livid. He couldn't do the job. He said there was a part that he needed that he didn't have. I'm irritated at this point but I appreciated him not doing a janky job just for the money. So I called around and eventually found a shop to tow the car to. Come to find out the part he had me order was the wrong part. So he was completely incompetent when it came to this job. Now I have to start completely over and I paid him $150 for him to give wrong information. I will not be calling him again and neither should you!

Monroe rd location in Charlotte NC. Went in for a n c state…read moreinspection and was told that I did not pass because my tires were older than 5 years old. I have never been told this before and this is the fifth car that I have owned and had inspected every year. When I asked the manager and the worker to show me the law it did not state five years was an automatic fail. It stated that the tread or something had to be wrong with the tire. The worker showed me on his phone this law and when he realized that he was wrong he came back and said there was something wrong with the tread on my tire. I know he was lying because this is a tire place. If there was something wrong with my tire that would have been the first thing that he would have pointed out. Oh and then they tried to say that I did not pass the inspection because of my windshield wipers. When I arrived I asked the cashier how much were their windshield wipers. I guess they thought they could try to add that on to my items that I needed also. This place is a rip off! And the law book he showed me was from year 2002. Which is 25 years old. I will never go there again for anything because they are obviously trying to cheat the customer. I knew something was wrong when the technician was poking my tire with a device. To me that was an indication that they were trying to do something to my tire so that I would have to buy a new one. I drive this car less than 2,000 miles a year so there is nothing wrong with the tread on my tires. I just had my tires checked two weeks ago. This place is a rip off. They are obviously trying to take advantage of women. Beware!
