Been going to the South Blvd. location for years. Always quick service by very nice staff!

These guys are still fabulous. I generally don't return to places. That's how I have 24000 reviews. But every so often, a business is just that awesome that I'll come back over and over. Today's experience was terrific. I arrived at 4:45 and even though they close at 5:00, they brought me in and got my inspection done. That's just about all they do here. State inspections. One year, I had a tail light out. They had a replacement in stock and only charged me $5 to do the work. Fabulous and that's why I return year after year. 5 minutes in & out. Incredible. Courteous & efficient. I'll definitely be back for future inspections. read more

Auto Inspections In Out - Car Inspectors Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Visited this "South Blvd" location last weekend with my Orange Honda Fit and stopped in with my wife's SUV this weekend. Very quick service! - The honesty and integrity is greatly appreciated. Special shout out to "Corey" - Thank you for being so kind to Andrea and I today. We were in and out in no time. Again, I truly appreciate not being "Scammed" or "Tricked" into replacing something not necessary. Easy in and out location. Staff are polite, respectful and efficient. This will me be our "Regular" place for Car Inspections - I suppose we will need to visit yearly! Anyways - We are new to Charlotte! They call us "1/2 Backs" - NY/FL People. Great experience! Way easier than getting your vehicle pirated at the New York Inspection stations! Price was truly right! Was happy to leave a small tip to show my appreciation to these hard working folks! read more

to get my car inspected never had an issue but now all of a sudden my parking brake failed. 4/7/26 Went to the dealership to get an inspection done...guess what! Emergency brakes passed the inspection. Now imagine that. Of all the places that would want to over charge the dealership was like nah you're good. That's the place that wants me to spend more money so why would they not tell me the emergency brakes are bad? So yeah I'm NEVER going back to AUTO INSPECTIONS IN AND OUT. Also the dealer charges the same amount. read more

Im confused because it says online they r open till 6pm. i went on a Thursday around 5pm and they're already closed

Came on a Monday around 10am and there was no wait at all. They were fast and efficient and my old car passed inspection without issues. It took about 5 minutes. Have your registration card ready. Highly recommend! read more

We needed to inspect an older car before registration renewal and had to squeeze it into a limited window, on a visit with a family member who had to get it done quickly to enable an upcoming holiday trip. We arrived only a short time before closing -- on a weekend -- and the worker on duty showed no annoyance that we might be delaying an on-time close. It was fast and efficient. Not only that, the worker was knowledgeable enough about car functions to point out elements of the systems that, while not obstacles to a clear inspection, likely would need upkeep soon to ensure continued safe travels. He was absolutely spot-on about those, as our mechanic later confirmed. Not a fancy place or area but sure gets the job done. read more

Have gone here maybe 6 times since I've moved to Charlotte. Every time I'm in and out under 10mins. Very straightforward, no BS.

Absolte best place to take your vehicle for state inspection. They will have you in an out maximum 20 minutes.

I have a 2000 Acura Integra and they wouldnt even look at my car because of the way it sounds, there is nothing wrong with it at all! The boss was very rude , never coming back here! read more

My girlfriend took my car there to get inspected. The employee then took her credit card and came back with the receipt. I later looked at the receipt which had a $4 tip added to it...which my girlfriend didn't notice. Pretty sad when someone has to basically steal by adding a tip and not letting the customer know about it. It's only $4 but the principle of the matter is what will have me never go there again. And when she called the next day to complain an employee said she must have added it, which she didn't. read more

Auto Inspections In Out - Car Inspectors Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Took my mom's car here for inspection. She lives on the other side of town, but the drive to her house, picking up the car, and driving it back took longer than the actual inspection did. They really move cars through here, and since my mom's car is basically "new" (she rarely drives) I was in and out in no time. No appointment necessary. Had my registration and keys at the ready as I pulled in around back. I was getting ready to park the car and go in to check in, but the nice attendant told me I can just pull right up to the bay and they can take it from there. There's a small waiting area you could wait in inside the office, but I opted to stand outside. They really moved through the checklist so fast that I probably didn't even have a chance to sit (even if I wanted to). The only time I ventured inside was to pay. Probably the one drawback of this location is the small parking footprint and being off of a super busy part of South Blvd, I think can probably get a little tricky, but they really moved cars in/out really fast for the short amount of time I was there on a Saturday morning. I will definitely continue to come here and bring my regular vehicle in. Yes- it's a once a year thing, but you want to make it as quick and painless as possible. In Out checks all those boxes. read more

This place inspects your car quicker than the Chick-fil-A line moves. Super nice and great service!

I've been taking my car here for my inspection for the last three years. No appointment is needed and I am literally in and out just like their name says! I haven't had an issue with waiting too long and their staff is always friendly. They're located right off South Blvd and have a large yellow sign. I highly recommend them! read more

I needed an inspection to change my plate from out of state, I pulled up and the man told me my tint was too dark.. it's under the legal limit so it's not. I got an inspection at this very place two years ago with the SAME tint and they passed me. I took my car somewhere else to get an inspection after you guys turned me down and had zero issues, tint wasn't too dark. Learn your state laws if you're going to be servicing people's cars. read more

I didn't have a lot of time o get an inspection. I looked at the reviews here on Yelp and saw one that said in and out in less thank 15 mins. No lie. 7 mins! This is my place to go here on out! read more

UPDATED: May 2020. I said I would be back and did. Couldn't find my registration card, but good to know it isn't required. Gave him my bill and DMV online info to register and that was good enough. Issue today was a rear brake light needed to be replaced. Extra $10, but worth it to get it done to pass. Again, super fast and super easy. Don't waste time anywhere else if all you need is an inspection. As I said I'm my previous review, all positive on this place and yes...I'll be back! When you read all the positive reviews, they are all RIGHT. It is March and time for my car inspection and couldn't be a worse month with my work and travel schedule. Had the day off so had to get it done so I can renew my tags. Got in around 10:30 with one car in front of me. Once the car was in, it was out! That quick! This was my first time here and won't be my last! I'll be back. Don't waste time and go anywhere else. read more

The Latin guy was a douchebag! It's bad enough that we have to pay for this inspection racket, but he's rude and thinks he's saving the world by inspecting brand new cars. North Carolina has so many rackets and this is the biggest one! They had two bays open and a little scooter in one of the lanes. It was entertaining watching them squeeze the tires with their hands as if they were avocados LMAO! Businesses like this should be eliminated. They serve no purpose other than to extort the working class. read more

Great experience. Make sure when you come in pull around to the back and just go ahead and put your car in line to be inspected. Was in-and-out within about 10 minutes read more

The employees make this place amazing!!!! Service with a smile and super fast! Thank you!

I dropped by at lunch yesterday and was in and out for my car inspection in less than 15 mins. The yearly inspection always creeps up on me, but I was so relieved to get this out of the way quickly and easily this time around! read more

PLEASE READ - First time here. Fast and friendly service. Unfortunately, my credit card was compromised after using it for payment here or at one other place (possibly skimmed and sold), as I subsequently had $500+ in fraudulent charges out of state (NY). The other place that I physically used the card that day was Saigon Palace restaurant also on South Blvd. I am going to post a similar review on this place's Yelp page. read more

Quick convient professional friendly good location ive used them 3 times and have been happy e ery time

Professional, polite and efficient. I wish all businesses made it this easy. Great place to take your car for the NC inspection.

They are quick and super friendly. Highly recommend this location for the service they provide.

BEST service EVER!! Read reviews & was In & out in about 10 minutes!! Friendly, courteous, service! You pull around back & they greet you & take your registration. I was barely in the waiting area & my car was done! Clean, nice, waiting area with restroom. This is my go to place now for sure! I highly recommend! read more

This place was literally "In and Out". I read the yelp reviews for somewhere to get a quick inspection done and chose this place. It's not in the best or worst area of South Blvd, but I literally pulled up, gave them my registration, sat down for less than two minutes, and they were ready for me to pay! No one was in front of me, but even if there were, I'm sure it still would've been as fast. read more

This is the spot to go if you are in a rush, or just because. I needed two vehicles inspected and wanted to have them done on my lunch break. After a quick google search this location popped up. I decided to give it a world and buy and I glad that I did. I pulled up about 11:30 on a Thurs and one car was ahead of me and it was one guy working. I figured i would be here a minute. When I say in and out in under 15 mins. Dude had my inspection done and ready to go by the time I got comfortable. I was impressed being I was supposed to have my oil change company do it and they told me it would take about an hour. I quickly gave my wife a call and told her to stop by with her truck. Literally, 20-30 minutes later vehicle #2 was done and we were on our way. The guy was super cool, gave recommendations and explained everything about the process to me. When I say that was the quickest inspection ever! I will definitely return here every year. read more

I've seen this place on my way to the gym and figured I would try it out since I'd only heard good things. This place is legit! I drove here on my lunch to get an inspection and was out the door in about 15 minutes or less. Anyone needing a quick inspection should come here! read more

I read the reviews to find a place to bring my car for what I found out was a needed safety check. This was the first time I have had a car registered in NC so I didn't know how the emissions thing worked here. I was in and out of there is less that 2 min. The service was amazing. They explained everything to me on how it works with NC emissions. Super friendly and nice. Would highly recommend for this need with the DMV. read more

Under 10 minute inspection. My wipers were torn and wouldn't pass but got me out of there with new ones for only $15.

Came for an auto inspection. Service was affordable and fast, what more can you ask for. Would return.

I have been going to this establishment for several years now and we take all of our cars here. They are quick, fast, and don't nickel and dime you like most Inspection joints that have garages attached read more

Very nice and professional service. Like the name of the business says, we were in and out in under five minutes with no wait. My kids and I enjoyed the clean weight room and restroom and even super cold water. Highly recommend for your next auto inspection here in Charlotte. read more

The reviews are absolutely correct on this business. This inspection station is fast and the team is courteous. My local garage/gas station in Steele Creek was replaced by a 7/11, so I had to find another location for a car inspection. Did a quick search on Yelp and read the reviews. Truly, truth in advertising, all they do is car inspections and they get you in and out of the bay quickly. This will be my new spot for my cars. A little longer drive, but the time is made up because you don't have to compete with bays being used for car repairs. read more

I made two trips here in the month of July to get my car and my boyfriends SUV inspected. Each time it was super quick and the inspector was very nice. Inside is a small waiting room, with a small bathroom and great air conditioning. No frills, but when service is that quick, it doesn't matter to me. read more

Really quick service. Friendly staff. Clean facilities. Great experience all the way around

Just had my car inspected today, and it was such an easy experience! The staff onsite were super friendly, and the entire experience took less than 10-15 minutes. Since they don't do oil changes or other maintenance, there was no question about upselling or convincing me that something else was wrong with my car. I won't go anywhere else for inspections in the future! read more

As others mentioned, it is very quick. Went on Good Friday morning, there was one car before me. I was in and out in less than 15 mins. Recommended read more
