Their prices are second to none. I was about to be taken for a ride (literally) by the dealership for just an oil change! Thank God our local Brentwood Auto Import Service saved me hundreds of dollars. read more

Yelp came through for me yet again! I needed an alignment because I purchased new tires. Called the day of and Kelly made an appointment for me right away. The staff were great, professional, and courteous. The service was done quicker than expected and as others have mentioned they didn't try to upsell me. My alignment came with the spec sheet of the before and after specs- camber/caster/toe which I appreciated. Thank you guys for taking care of me. I'll definitely spread the word to friends and family. read more

Straightforward service. Great communication when booking your appointment. Pleasant interaction. Great quality work. I've recommended this place in the past and they've come through for me in my experience. read more

They are one of the few honest repair shops. Everyone is friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend them.

Just got new tires and was told I should get an alignment due to some wear. Called Auto Import Service and Kelly scheduled me for next day. Excellent service, everyone was awesome to work with! Got a detailed spec sheet with before and after results. Will be going back for next service for my Subaru Outback! Thanks read more

I called up to check out a car that we were looking at buying for a pre purchase inspection for my 15 year old daughter. They were thorough and honest about what we were looking at and in context for the age of the car. The vehicle was in pretty good shape until they uncovered a blown head gasket that was hidden by the seller. Just saved us $5-7k in repairs on a purchase for my daughter that could have also left her stranded. Thank you! read more

I highly recommend Auto Import Services. I have used them several times now, and every time it was great. Staff is friendly and helpful. My wife's car needed an alignment and America Tire doesn't provide that service, but they did recommend Auto Import Service. Looking at the Yelp reviews gave me a good sense of the operation, including the cleanliness of the shop, which says a lot to me, and the way they handled the negative reviews. Made an appointment and dropped the car off. When the work was done, we got a printout of all the alignment measurements and the car handled noticeably better. The cost was about average for a shop but significantly less than the dealer. read more

I've been going there the last couple of years when I started getting service engine lights on my Audi. They've fixed it every time not cheap but worth the price. read more

Once again Auto Import Service has provided me with excellent diagnosis in determining what was causing a the check engine light on my 2013 BMW 535i. They are particularly expert at finding vacuum leaks, indicated by the fault code reported. They eliminated the likely culprits and determined that the problem was likely the aluminum valve cover installed on the car over a year earlier. After replacing the valve cover with an OEM product they recommended, the fault codes disappeared. They did not just start replacing "suspect" parts, costing me time and money and would not have solved the problem. Only a group of experienced professionals could have reached this correct diagnosis. I highly recommend Auto Import Service to BMW, Audi and Mercedes owners. read more

I had a tire with a broken stud and they helped me same day. Gave me a realistic return time and and estimate. Would definitely come back!

While driving to Ione, I hit a large chuck hole and blew out a front tire. Having 40,000 miles anyway I just put a new set of tires on but they do not do allainment so was recomended by American Tire to go to Auto Imports. Best thing that happened to Me in a long time. Was told 4 wheel allainment would be about an hour. Before I knew it My car was in the air and job completed in 35 min. Then the young lady up front took the time to go over the report and explain just what went on, so I would deffinatly recomend them. read more

I was referred here by Americas Tire. Service was great and fast. Andy at the front desk was friendly and professional. I will definitely be coming back for service in the future. Andy you the man! Thank you for your help. read more

Auto Import Service was the worst experience I ever had with a car shop. They were referred to be by America's tires as being "BMW Specialist" that can do an alignment on my 2015 BMW M3. After the specialist finished the alignment, he backed it out of the shop and almost hit the wall of the shop. Even though my car has a front and rear camera, I guided him out and after he got the car out of the shop, he drove off. He drove back into the shop 15 mins later, got out of the car, and walked away. I knew there was something wrong when his manager came. Auto import services has a big sticker saying they're "BMW" specialists and my BMW is all original, unmodified. Watch my video as the "specialist" confesses how he broke the front carbon fiber lip of my BMW. The manager, Alex had me wait for him to get insurance. I honestly don't think they actually had valid insurance because Alex couldn't even give me the company contact information. I feel like he just google searched an insurance shop right then and there to cover their mistake. They broke my front lip on August 18, 2021. After fighting with their cheap and uncooperative insurance company, I finally got my fully repaired on September 25, 2021. I also wanted to note that Auto Import services and their insurance company left without a rental car for weeks as my car sat at the repair shop. I will never go back to this shop and I do not recommend going here. read more

New A week ago I made an appointment for my Mercedes Metris. I was searching for a garage that worked on Mercedes vehicles that was closer than the dealership. I had extensive conversation with the person who made the arrangements. I asked what was required at 45k miles. I was told the service required was going to be in excess of $1700. I verified the appointment the day before and said they used genuine Mercedes parts. I shared with her my concern as I had spoken with the dealer who said sometimes garages said they did but in fact didn't, which could result in damages down the road. The woman shared she was a former employee of Stockton Mercedes and acted as though she knew her business. I showed up today at the scheduled time for my appointment. She came out of the office to meet me only to tell me she didn't think my car would fit on the racks she had. I asked if she could measure to be sure. After much discussion with the manager about which rack and the appropriate angle etc. it was determined they weren't equipped either physically or mentally to handle it. I of course was angry that they had plenty of time to prepare and didn't even once ask about my car. One would think if you were in the garage business you might know the vehicles you intend to book. Oh, one more thought, the principal said he could get the car on the lift but wouldn't be able to get it backed off the lift! I lost my cool at that point and asked for my key back. If one can get it on one should be able to back it off. This was totally absurd ! And you think I want to do business!! Not! Beware. read more

In late October I contacted Auto Import Services about my Mercedes Benz SLK320. It was having issues with the engine just turning off on me while driving. While on Vasco in rush hour traffic it turned off on me Leaving me in the middle of the road. I was embarrassed for what had happened but got my butt out of the car and pushed it to the side of the road. I called Auto Import Service and talked to Jeff. He asked me to bring it in so he can troubleshoot. Once the car was in the shop Jeff was very up front with cost and time on when the car was going to be repaired. I am very happy with the service I received and will definitely return for my future repairs. Outstanding service!! Felipe C read more

After getting some control arm bushings replaced, I needed an alignment. TredShed in Pittsburg turned me away because of the aftermarket components I have on my car. Another place I called also wouldn't do it, but suggested Auto Import Service. I can't remember who I talked to on the phone (Mike?), but they seemed insulted when I asked if they could deal with my suspension parts "Why would it be a problem?!?" Haha! Sorry! Anyway, Phil, who was working the day I brought my car in, was professional and efficient. Got the alignment done in the time specified and it looks like it's solved the tire-wear issue I was having as well as stopped the ABS warning on my dash! Great shop in the East Contra Costa area. read more

Lowered my rating to 1 Star because the owner refused to acknowledge the REAL problem. The parts I purchased to use in my 911 were PREMIUM products that fit the car just fine. The PROBLEM was the sh*tty attitude of the new manager, Jeff, who I think needs to learn how to treat customers properly, especially if they are spending THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS servicing their cars at this shop, as I did, and who I will NEVER deal with again. I NEVER had a problem w/the prior manager, Phil, as is evident by the glowing reviews I gave the shop before, which i think speaks for the matter itself. read more

I dropped off my 2014 BMW 535i with 62,335 miles on it this morning to get a oil change and inspection. I knew it would need new rear brakes and it was time to flush the brake fluid. They called back to say it was time for brake fluid( rear brakes still had another 5k left on them) spark plugs were due at 60k miles and the battery should be replaced soon. No surprise here, total was going to be about 1,200. I told them not to replace the plugs and battery and to complete the normal service including brake flush. After work i stopped by to pay the bill and pickup the keys. I returned an hour later after closing to pickup my car. As soon as I started it the engine started shuttering. I drove it two blocks down the street and it threw a check engine light and went into limp mode. I parked the car back in their parking lot. Circumstance? I find it hard to believe. I'm going back in tomorrow to see what they have to say for themselves. I always give the benefit of the doubt and this is a reputable place. Stay tuned... Turns out the #1 cylinder was misfiring, not the #6 or 5 or 4. The easy one to reach, the one they removed. After going back and forth they agreed to replace all plugs for a price I thought was fair. Car is running well but they also forgot to reinstall some plastic covering that broke off when I turned the windshield wipers on and was drug across the entire windshield multiple times before it was launched into the street. Makes me wonder if they forgot to reinstall the plug properly... Anyway, I did not have a good experience and will be trying another import specialist when the time comes. read more

I had a great experience with this shop. Fantastic service, very reasonable price. I was traveling through and had something break on my old Volvo. Philip got the part in a day and fixed my car in an hour. I'd called two other shops in Brentwood and neither of them had any idea how to help me, wouldn't even talk to me without seeing the car in person. Philip looked at a text photo and knew exactly what to do. I would recommend him and this shop without hesitation. read more

I have been bringing our cars here since 2009 after I got a recommendation from my father-in-law, who had been bringing his cars in for numerous years prior. I've dealt with a lot of mechanics in the past, and have always jumped from one to another due to various reasons with being unsatisfied. A.I.S. has earned my repeat business because they offer the three things I look for: 1) courteous service, 2) competitive prices, and 3) excellent quality work. It's hard to imagine that it's taken me this long to find a shop that can provide these three simple things. I always ask for Phil when I bring my cars in, and he's been nothing but helpful. I get a straight answer from him with what's wrong, how much it will cost, and how long the repairs will take. I've dealt with the whole range of situations with Phil; from a quick in and out service, to obtaining a hard to find part that needed to be imported from Japan. Either way, I got the same amount of customer care and honesty that I've now come to except from this shop. I'll continue to bring my cars here as long as I live in the area. I highly recommend Auto Import Service for all your automotive needs! read more

This is an amazing shop with great service. Phil is honest and his prices are fair. I know the shop is busy but I brought it in without an appointment because I started hearing a banging noise coming from the front tire area of my c250 and just asked if he could take a look real quick I wasn't sure if I should continue to drive it and with kids in the car. He happily drive it around and looked at it for me on the spot and took it around back to fix the issue. Honesty a great shop with great people. I will alway bring my car here and refer people with imports to Phil. read more

This shop is A+! We've been taking our car here for a few years now for services, oil changes, repairs you name it. Over the weekend, we had some trouble with AAA, and had to bring our car into Phil, so he could make it right. And he did! He is, honest, straight up, communicative and just a really nice guy! Prices are fair, and I'm so glad we have him to take care of our car. Hard to find an honest mechanic, and he's the real deal! And the best- he calls when he says he will. No guessing, waiting around, or having to call him. Just really really great service. read more

I've never met Phil or even been to this shop, but hear me out. My husband and I were looking at a used car that he had been maintaining, and with the car owner's okay, I called Phil to learn more about it. I didn't even know the car owner's last name, but Phil was able to figure out which car it was, and he gave me a very complete review of the car's condition as of the last time he'd seen it. This helped us make a more-informed decision, which was extremely important to us because we live over three hours away, and any car purchase is a big purchase, right? I really appreciated the honesty and completeness of his response, especially since I'm not even a potential customer and he was getting nothing for the time he was spending talking to me. Go, Phil! Thank you! read more

Phil is absolutely AMAZING! I trust him with ALL my cars. When I needed to buy a new car, I narrowed my search by only looking at cars he works on. I HATE taking my car to the dealer for things that are still under warranty. I am actually looking forward to my warranty expiring so I no longer have a reason to take my car elsewhere from Phil. He is honest, knowledgeable, and extremely fair. Best mechanic I've ever dealt with. He is also flexible. I work during their hours so getting my car and dropping it off is impossible for me to do. I've never actually met Phil in person after 3+ years of going to him. He is accommodating and very understanding...and forgiving, I call him all the time for simple questions and advice. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! read more

We recently moved to Brentwood and were in search of a local auto shop to work on our BMW X3; I'm so glad I was referred to Auto Import Service! I decided to just drop in to see about availability and, luckily for me, they were able to look at the car the same day. Phil was super helpful from the moment I stepped into the shop and was very thorough with the inspection.
