My truck windshield needed replacement and apparently it needed in shop alignment so my insurance company scheduled a next day repair to the closest location to my house. Well, that shop being inconsiderate didn't bother to call me prior to my 25 mile away drive and let me know that they didn't get the part. This really upset me they wasted my time so I made sure they wouldn't get my business, so I called back my auto insurance carrier to move my claim to a different repair shop, Auto Glass Now. The parts took only a day to get but they were booked out solid for 3 days so I had to wait for the next available appointment. The windshield was installed without any hiccups and the installer was good enough to hide the camera USB cord and install a new Homelink mirror I brought along unsure if they could connect it. These people are beyond professional and will not hesitate to give them a referral or use their services again. read more

Disgusting, unreliable, unprofessional business not to mention their cut throat pricing. I had an insurance claim for my cracked windshield, They quoted me an extra $250.00 in addition to my deductible to replace the windshield with an OEM glass, this was a $130.00 more than what Safelite Auto Glass quoted me, when I agreed to settle for the aftermarket without paying for the extra charge they became hostile and aggressive and decided to cancel my service appointment after they failed to squeeze the extra money for the OEM glass. "Sabrina", the scheduling coordinator was extremely rude, nasty and lacked business ethics and professional conduct. read more

I had someone break into my car. I brought it to All Star Glass (their new name) and they did a great job! Their quote was $200 less than Safelight!! And my new window was installed in one hour. I was trying to set up an appointment over the phone, for them to come and repair my windshield, but the lady on the phone was very rude, and unprofessional. She seemed pretty annoyed by the fact that I do have an accent. Answering me like I am an idiot. Some person name Jill called after, but I was not longer interested in getting services from this place. What a great service with professional and knowledgeable staff. Delfino was my first technician, came all the way from Ventura to Santa Barbara, and dealt with the difficult parking/tight space behind my apartment building. There was a complication, so the following week I had Adrian come out, equally as friendly and professional as Delfino. Work was done within 45 minutes with absolutely no fuss. This review/complaint is about the shop at 4505 Telephone Rd. Ventura, CA 93003. My insurance company referred me to this shop to replace windshield. The tech called me to tell me my car was ready; however, he did not pass inspection and the sensors did not work and could not be recalibrated. When I got to the shop, the tech was not available and left me with the front clerk to try explain, and although nice enough was out of her depth. What angered me was the she implied the problem was that I failed to ask for OEM glass and that the failure was likely because they used aftermarket glass. I was never given the option in the first place. I took the car home and lights were flashing and quite distracting while driving. I was informed they would reorder the glass and I'd have to bring it back. Had they ordered OEM glass initially I would not have wasted my time (and theirs). Despite wasting my time and the lack of communication with the tech, I was still charged a deductible. BTW, they charged the insurance company more than $1700 for a freakin' windshield and we wonder why our premiums are so high. read more

I got a new windshield here and had nothing but trouble. My rear view mirror fell off 4 times! The last time, the technician cracked my windshield. Because my 1 year warranty expired, I was expected to pay. My argument was that they are the ONLY ones to work on the windshield so they should be responsible for the crack. I was hoping that they'd show some remorse and integrity but they didn't. They instead offered a reduced price. I'm STILL not happy with paying anything. read more

Terrible experience all the way around. One of the choices through our insurance...boy did we pick the wrong company. They were unprofessional and on top of that they scratched up the hood of the car. When we complained about that they were very rude. They have TERRIBLE customer service. They sent out a glass installer to inspect the damage and he barely looked at it and said they weren't responsible. Then the manager left a rude voicemail on our phone. We contacted the coporate office twice and they promised to follow up. HAVE NOT HEARD BACK!! DO NOT USE THEM! read more

If you are ok with quick, shoddy workmanship this is the place. I'd give it a zero if it was an option. After the first windshield replacement I discovered an air leak at the bottom of the windshield. The manager Jill Ostrom refused to perform the proper repair, as it was not their policy - (which is to remove and start over - I worked for a major Automotive manufacturer for 26 years and have personally replaced hundreds of windshields.) Instead they applied a 12 inch glob of adhesive around the leaking area which was then hidden under the cowling. Years later a crack appeared at the top of the windshield. I went to Safelite Autoglass who informed me they could not do the repair because they could not guarantee their work - the paint was blistering, indicating rust had formed underneath the windshield and the subsequent pressure exerted by corroding metal caused the crack. My car needed rust repair because All Star Auto Glass left bare metal exposed to rain, moisture etc. Again I spoke to Jill Ostrom about the problem and once again she insisted All Star was not responsible. When I told her the California Bureau of Automotive Repair would most likely disagree with her, she immediately changed her tune and asked me to bring an estimate for the rust repair. I provided Jill with an estimate of repair and she informed me the Corporate office would contact me in a week or so. 10 minutes after I left she called to inform me that Corporate had approved the cost of repair and would send me a check. Removal of the windshield revealed numerous additional rusting areas on the body from exposed metal. I had extensive body work done in order to achieve a clean, flat surface to bond and seal a new windshield. Only after the threat of a lawsuit would Ms. Ostrom do the right thing. I found out they are the ones my Honda Dealer uses to come to the dealers to replace windows so instead of having my dealer call them and me paying more I went directly to them for my windshield repair. Sebastian was the tech that did the work, super polite and explained the process, as were the women in the office, also friendly. They put in a windshield that bubbled due to a manufacturers defect & refused to replace it because I didn't report it until 3months after their 1 year guarantee. State Farm also denied it but agreed to pay it after I filed a complaint with the California Insurance Dept. The glass company replacing the windshield found their installer broke the lower molding & side trim,so he sloppily glued the side trim that should never have been glued and used too much glue in other places requiring glue, and didn't glue in one place that should have been glued. State Farm paid for the replacement of the broken parts and I requested All star Glass be removed as one of their companies so this doesn't happen to someone else. I do not know if they will be removed but recommend no one use All Star Glass read more
