If you are looking for even a minimal level of customer service, business where they treat you as a customer, not nuisance, then Gerber Collision in South Elgin is definitely not the place you should even consider. So I asked about a date and time and the gentleman agreed. I made it in at the agreed time and they took my car back with no problem. The cost we agreed too was a solid price so no issues there. Just to add I was hesitant at first because this was my first service for a windshield but these guys were a true blessing, extremely professional and back up there work! He put new windshield and all was good. Few months later the plastic covers that cover the sides off the windshield flew off, two seperate times. I was impressed how Jake immediately ordered new parts and fixed the problem. He learned something new about Ford Explorer . His Honesty and the way he sincerely felt bad for some extra trips back and forth to his shop is what impressed me. You want feel safe and not taken advantage of go see Jake . I was very happy with their service from the start until the finish of the work…read more I had intended to get my windows tinted "eventually", but I just bought the car and didn't really want to take on another expense right away. However, my new car got dinged days after getting it and they were able to buff it out pretty easily. I was able to find the spot the work was done, but it took me a minute. I would be shocked if anyone who was unaware could even find the spot. While I was there, I also had my front two windows tinted while I waited and they did a good job. However, when I got the vehicle home I noticed that there was a decent bubble in the front driver side window. I contacted them the next day and they said to bring it back so it could be redone. At no point did I feel like they tried to push off the responsibility or try to get away from standing by their work. They fixed it no questions asked. I have no reason to believe that they wont also honor the lifetime warranty that they offer on their window tinting.
